John and me went to the Chinese New Year celebration in Philly yesterday, I got some really cool photos! It's not a regular parade, it's dragons that go around blessing the local businesses for the new year. Hopefully I'll get them uploaded tonight for all to see~

Happy Monday TKers! No rest for the Wicked here today, work as usual. However, I have discovered that I have three weeks of vacation to use between now and the end of June and I only have one week (for Family Vacation #1) scheduled.
After being very warm, and very stormy yesterday, today is chilly 47 degrees now, and very windy. My barometer head has calmed down, which is much better than last night when I would have willingly given someone money to blow my head up!

Went to the Apple store!!! The people who work there are just plain old WEIRD! No Sales Savvy whatsoever. I wanted to see The Apple TV in HD mode. They couldnt do that! The price for the high end one is 329.00, even says so on the sign. The sales guy tells me its "around 400 or so"! WTH??? I asked a few questions, about the WiFi aspect of it..and he said he ran out of Brochures!It's so hard to get good customer service these days I know these people are trained in this stuff. Maybe they weren't paying attention. I use to work in electronics for Sears and they would have these big conventions for the employees where reps from all the different brands would come and do training.

So I walked out, and went to the Disney store. Helped the Easter Bunny with some stuff for Makenzie. Got a Ariel Head, that you put makeup on and fix her hair, for My Godsons DD...its her Birthday. Mom gave me $ to buy Mackenzie a toy. Picked up a really cool Dalmation (lotsa 101 Dalamation stuff...DVD is coming out in a few weeks) toy its about the size of a regular dog. Comes in a cute dog house, and it walks, barks..etc. Wish we had a Disney store around here. The only one we had which was 30mins away was closed!!! The Ariel head sounds cute.

Anyhoooooo walked around ( I HATE malls) Typical

then went back to the Apple Store, and got another Salesman. He was just as vague as the first. So I didnt buy nutin! Very Bizarre!
Gonna watch a movie with whatshername, ya know the one where she becomes a vigilante! Huh? I watched The Messengers lastnight and Why Did I Get Married. Both were okay...

DH saved that DL Behind the scenes they were showing on Travel channel for me; so watched it today; too bad it's such an old episode...so much has changed there since 2003....since we're going in a few wks (my friend Stacey, her son, ryan & 2 more of DS' friends), i'm thinking we won't go back till april or may...so was thinking that would be a really nice "mom's day" wkend gift...& thought i should stay at DL Hotel or GCH....YIKES...$450/nt for GCH.... $260 at DLH...& those are my AP rates - the 'winter' special rates end 3/06 & we're not staying there this next trip cuz they were sold out 2 of the 3 nts we're there

DU...that is really too bad about the Apple store & the sales associates.....maybe you'll find more "good" info on the web...but it does look pretty nice...

Your hubby is a keeper And that does sound like a nice "mom's day" wkend gift

May, Family Vacation #1 - Mom, Dad, and Sis #2's family at WDW! This is Sis #2s first family trip to WDW (Aunt Michelle is footing the bill - long story). Although my sister and her hubby have been, many years ago, it will be the first trip for all three of my nieces (11, 8, and 6). Their first view of the Magic Kingdom will be Sunday morning before the park opens because I've made us reservations at Crystal Palace at 8:00 AM!

September, Family Vacation #2 - Mom, Dad, and Sis #1's family at VB. Sis#1 and hubby have an II timeshare so they traded out for VB.

The storms were pretty bad last night, tornado warnings and watches. Lots of wind, and rain - of course, we can't begrudge the rain!

sometimes DH is a keeper...other times....well you know...like now when HE DOESN'T want to go with us to DL for Mother's Day...but we can go ....uggghhh

oh well....hope you're all having a nice monday...it is UGLY here....cloudy cold & supposed to start raining again tomorrow thru the wkend! Glad i'm leaving for San Diego Saturday morning....

but this thread has morfed alot from when we started, back, back, back, way back , years ago. Only the strong survive! that's it! this is the real survivor thread

We were under a tornado watch until 2am. I hate that.
