Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 8

On the Wonder it is called Aloft.

I actually like it better than the Stack, for looks anyways.

The Stack is a very sterile, futuristic nightclub feel to it.

Aloft is more comfortable, homey like with nice sofas and comfy chairs to sit in.

Yes, I've looked in both of those places........ I only just turned 19 ya know ;)

me too:banana:

What did you do to that kid??????????

There had been a storm earlier in the week but it had been calm and beautiful for a few days so we decided to do a whale watch out of Provincetown, Mass. Well no one tells you the seas are still stirred up! Can't make any money that way! We were on the upper deck and I swear waves were crashing onto our deck! I don't know how the people on the lower deck didn't drown! Scared the bejesus outta Winnie! LizzY was 5 and she loved it, she ran all over the boat with Nana, while I held Winnie! TInk was only one and she slept through the whole thing. DH wouldn't take dramamine beforehand because he's a man! Well he ended up asking for dramamine after we started out but it was too late. He was green the whole time :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: !

My hubby is similar to your DD, only different

We keep telling him he's going and he keeps telling us he's not

He has gone on deep sea fishing trips, in a tiny boat mind you, and has gotten quite sick.

The Magic is HUGE and has stabilizers to keep her steady. I rarely felt movement while onboard. I swear by dramamine, I followed directions and started taking it a full day before I got on the ship, I think that helped me too. I also booked us cabins up high (deck 7 of 10) and outside with a verandah, i.e., a door that opens for air if you need it. He will also have an "out." If he feels he can't handle the cruise I will gladly fly him home.

I am told that inside cabins and the lower levels feel the sway of the ocean more.

I keep trying to explain to her that this is a huge boat. Like a little city really...she's just not buying it!

Good mornin TK'ers!:goodvibes

I had my EMR (or whatever it is called) yesterday. They shot me with electricity!:scared1: However the nurse who did my hand kept my mind off the electrical volts by telling me how horrible hr husband is. He didn't come home until Saturday morning. He was out with his friend on Friday night. Meanwhile his 'friend' showed up at his house looking for him on Friday night! Sooooooooooooooo She is leaving him Friday night, with the kids...and not telling him where she is going. But she is going to the city and hanging out all weekend. Let them all get along without her at home.  So I heard the Nurses Life story while she shot me with electrical volts. Then the DR. did my neck! AGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH out it hurt.
Its all confirmed I have a pinched nerve in my neck (no kidding)!
BUT the good news is...I have feeling back in my pointer finger today! They are also gonna get me a neck stretching machine for home. SO if any of you ever have the need to get your neck streched or just be taller...come on over.:cool2:

:rotfl2:

When I went to the Cape, took James on a Whale watch, gave him dramamine 1/2 hour before. He slept through the whole whale watch!

I saw whales!

*shrugs* I guess I've never put anyone on ignore because I've always believed that even if I don't like what they have to say once that doesn't mean I'm not going to like what they have to say every time.

I don't really post on something just to not respond to anyone who asks me a _valid_ question about what I've posted... I can understand that if I'm just stating an experience or point of view... but then again I've never been one to back down from an argument either.

But just because I'm opinionated or want to keep going back to a thread doesn't give others the right to attack me or bring back up old crap. I don't feel like I fit in a whole heck of a lot of anywhere on the board, sometimes I don't even feel like I fit in here. I just don't think some people like me very much and if they don't then whatever. I just wish some people would be honest about it rather than just go out of their way to either hurt my feelings or bring up old crap to start a whole new debate about whether RayaniFoxmur is cheating the system or not.

But whatever. I'm starting to learn very quickly there are even people that I thought liked me that can't really stand me on these boards. :headache:

Thank you for defending me on that thread Colleen... I really do appreciate it.

Wow! I just went back and finished reading the thread. I'll tell you I've put some of those people on ignore. I cannot imagine that they have anything to say, that I want to listen too! Colleen you were fabulous! You were like superman swooping in to save RF! Nice job! Good news RF is that there were some really nnice people there supporting you too!

Ah, no thanks DU.

I believe we actually own one of those torture devices ourselves :thumbsup2

It's collecting dust in the livingroom closet, has been for many years. At least I think it's still there.

Sounds like we are in for another ice storm overnight and tomorrow morning :guilty:

Isn't once a week enough?

LizzY saw whales too, and so did Nana...I just saw Winnie when I was trying to console her. Scary thing is it was a 3 hour watch... I just kept thinking of Gilligan's Island and hoping if we were marooned it would be on Nantucket or Martha's vineyard!

Glad you got the feeling back in your finger. Now ya can start poking people again!:thumbsup2

Now you guys have me wishing for a cruise again! I even went to the sight. Not so cheap for a family of 5!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

A friend of mine just told me a funny cruise story. Apaprently she and Dh filled water bottles with vodka for their cruise. I understand this is pretty common. They had left overs so Dh put the extra bottles in the pantry when they got home about 3 months ago. My friend was cleaning out the pantry a week ago, saw the water bottles so she put them in the fridge. Brought one to work with her and as she ws meeting with customer's (she works at a bank) She took a big gulp! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Apparently she choked and it was quite a sight!

That's too funny! :lmao:

I'm glad you didn't say a kid got ahold of it tho...

That's a good idea~anybody want some wodka?

It looks like the thread got back on track...

At least now they are arguing on topic :cool2:

Rayani and I talked last night via email, I think she's a bit better now

That sucks when people gang up like that and it's VERY easy to get sucked into the argument...I almost did...DU was a big help too~and VEGA :rolleyes1

*That* is exactly *why* I stay away from anything remotely controversial. There are folks out on the CB that start a conversation knowing full well the flame suits will go on

Yeah, I am feeling better today... especially because I know that I haven't done anything wrong! :thumbsup2 Colleen really stepped up to the plate for me in a big way and I don't know how I'll even repay her for it. And everyone here was supportive too... Thank you so much to everyone!

I do have some bad news though that I'll admit I've been keeping in and digesting for a while before telling anyone...

Unfortunately I met with my doctor last week and he decided that we need to start looking into surgery for my weight loss. I have struggled and struggled with weight loss for years and now that it's after the pregnancy I struggle even more. The problems are becoming monumental when it comes to health and me being overweight and he doesn't want to wait until my body decides "Oh well we can lose weight now that she's really trying EXTRA hard". So I am starting to look at Lap-Band surgery. *sighs* I'm very frustrated right now, especially that because of it I won't get weight loss before the wedding. Ugh!

Hey your doing this to stay healthy! GOod for you! If your not comfortable go get a second opinion. I think it's great that there are those options available. You will be beautiful and radiant on your wedding day no matter what you weigh.:goodvibes

One day at a time Liz...

and you owe me nothing~after reading what those trolls were writing over there I had to step up. I was not alone in what I did for you...the kinder gentler type also happen to be less vocal than the trolls are, but we are here...lurking...

as far as the weight, again...one day at a time. The lapband has good reviews...I've seen what the alternative surgery does-it actually does kill-I'd rather see you try the lapband and deal with having to buy a larger dress for now and be alive to enjoy the rest of your lives together. You and Dave deserve it~Lighter and Happier will come, be patient and do wha'cha'gotta'do~

PD, you've cruised on DCL before?

It's amazing how big cruise ships are. I was REALLY nervous about my first time on the ship. I've never been on any boat on the ocean before my cruise. I was sooo comfortable there, so relaxed and at ease...I Loved It! and I hope your DD does someday too~

I've never cruised anywhere!:sad2: I so want to do a Disney cruise. Our 25th anniversary is 2 years away! Maybe she'll be over the fear of boats then and we can convince her Mom and Dad want to take the family on a cruise for our anniversary! I suppose I can drug her and just drag her on while she's sleeping!:sad2:

She may change in two years...

How old is she now?

My DD was a scaredy cat, wouldn't even do Disney's Haunted Mansion much less anything really scary. I got to do Buzz Lightyear and Beauty and the Beast that year while everyone else went into Alien Encounter and Tower of Terror :(

a couple summers later, she tried a roller coaster for the first time-and hasn't stopped yet, and actually watches more horror/scary movies than I ever will! She totally changed!

Get the Cruise Video, that may help her~

Good idea! I'll order the video! She's 13. I think maybe I'll try to convince DSis and her family to go with us. DSis has a daughter the same age as mine and they are the very best of friends!

PD, you can give your daughter a choice when it comes to the cruise.

Either she COMES on the cruise or she gets to stay home with someone while the rest of the family goes.

I wonder if she'd change her mind if it came down to that choice.

One year my dopey son thought he'd rather stay home and go camping in the snow in a TENT :faint: instead of going on a Disney Cruise with the rest of us.

We left him home to freeze and we called him from the deck of the Wonder as we were sailing out of Port :thumbsup2

Rayani, good luck with your weight loss plans.

I hope it works well for you.

At this point I think she would opt to stay home! ANd I just can't go without her. I did just order the video tho! WE'll see where that gets me!
