Cally,
Enjoy your time off with the fam..... :grouphug:

I really dont like our Walmart here ..Its not really the store I dont like ...Its the workers...they just dont care....If you cant find something ..its like "well I think we sell it...Go look in the seasonal...maybe you will find it there....BYE!"...NO help ..and in out store the isles are always blocked with boxes and things so you have to go all the way down to the end of an isle to get to the other side.....I go in there in a good :teeth: mood and come out in a bad mood :furious: ....Sorry Im ranting  ...Our Walmart is a pet peeve or mine...Hope your turns out to be better!... I like Target...a Much nicer store here! Im not a fan of their clothes..but everything else is nice and the prices are good!...

I know what you mean... we have a Wal Mart like that in Macon about 30 mins from here. It is always messy and dirty in there, I'm scared to go in!

We have a super Wal Mart here in town that is fairly new and still in good shape...it still gets a bit crowded at times......there have been occassions where someone will go out of their way to help.

So they just built another super wal mart here and I keep thinking why do we need another wal mart :confused3 ... maybe it will keep the crowds down

Hope you had a good lunch! :sunny:

Good morning Cally.

Yes the strike is still going on with no end in sight and it IS frustrating :furious:

Here is a picture of the flooring we chose for our new kitchen:

W3000097_large.jpg

I got it!!! I know why I love this so much... It's the exact same color I chose for my back splash!

The light tile and light flooring will offset the dark color of your cabinets Robin...

I have tile like what your describing, we've had it for probably 7 years and the only issue I'm having now is the tile shifting a little. It's a glue down tile so eventually...they slide.

Betsy, I was glad my hubby agreed to come...

and when he hmmmd and hawd about it, I told him Mike will be there and I swear I could see the nervousness go right out of his face as I said it :)

I'm glad they hit it off so well and so quickly and cannot wait to see you again...the NEW YOU!!!

and Robin, I feel like I see you guys every day~

it was the same way when I met Susan and Ann and was introduced to Tom...I feel like I've known you all forever.

Kelly, it'd be cool to meet you as well...we'll have been talking for for a good nine months by then and will probably feel the same way when we eventually get our face-to-face.

Im stuck with less then five lbs. to lose to make my goal...I have been stuck for a month now....I lose a lb. ...then gain a lb....then lose it again...but I cant get past that ...It is very frustrating...But hey I have lost 30lbs...So I not unhappy with myself...I just want to be done with the process...and start the mantaining....

Hey Betsy, I know exactly how you feel about his. I think I could lose another 10 pounds at least (if not 15) but I seem to be stuck at the same spot too. I've been there for months  I seem to be maintaining what I lost though, a pound up or a pound down :guilty: But I agree... I lost 30 pounds too and I am thrilled with that, even if I don't manage to get rid of any more. Just so long as it doesn't start to creep up again.

Robin, I love what you have chosen for your kitchen!! The floor is very nice!! I'm sure your kitchen will look great! We have a dark kitchen. Dark applainces, countertops, cabinets but it doesnt make the kitchen look too dark. It may be because we have a big window facing it and all the light shines in from that window.

But I love the dark cabinets. They are really nice! Did you go with white appliances?

We have a window and also the big garden doors in the kitchen and it really is quite bright in there. The cabinets now are very dark, so I think it will be okay.

Yes we have all white appliances.

That's interesting that you chose the same colour for your backsplash :teeth:

If you've got any details to share about the Aug meet, please send them my way!

Well, we don't really have any details other than the dates, even that could be Friday, Saturday, Sunday :confused3 Betsy's the planner ;) we'll have to see what we can come up with as to places to meet/stay etc.

How long would it take you to get there, Kelly?

I don't know if my husband will come along or not? It depends on if he has a remote control airplane competition that weekend :confused3 I know there is one of the schedule, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he will be going to it.

I'm looking forward to meeting you too Colleen and also Betsy.

Of course we will all meet on the cruise but it will be nice if we can get a little bit acquainted beforehand.

Hope you can make it too Kelly. :goodvibes

I think I'll find me an axe before I meet him :lmao:

Kelly,
Im not sure about the plans yet,(Any help or suggestions will be greatfully accepted :teeth: ) except that we will meet someplace in NFs. (Canada side) on Sat. :confused3 (best if people need travel time)the 12th of Aug. or Sun. the 13th..( either day is doable for us)..and probably have a lunch/dinner thing. :confused3 ...

If there gets to be alot of us ...It would probably be best to try and book a room or section of a restaurant..

So I guess the first thing to do is find out how many people will be going...

I have my DSis and DBIL coming for dinner....
We will have roast chicken...(pre-roasted :teeth: ) and fruit parfaits for dessert...

So I gotta fly :moped:

Happy Friday Threadkillers!!!

Hubby and I have a date tonight, we're going to Philly to see CKY (an awesome band) at the TLA (Theatre of the Living Arts on South Street.)

I got alot to do first but I'll be popping in and out to catch up with you all.

You'll never believe this....

Brittany called me last night, (no that's not it) she called me and said she was in line for Expedition Everest yesterday, (which she says is an awesome ride-but no that's not it) She said she heard her name mentioned...they were saying is that Brittany? OMG it is her! ... guess who she found... My friend Rose and her husband Ed were in line behind her!!! Rose and Brittany actually found each other!!!

Brittany is on her third day of her senior class trip today, she's (of course) having a great time. She doesn't come home until Sunday night. She had already hit all four parks in her first two days and was headed to Disney Quest last night. I am so glad she's able to go with her class. It gives her a totally new experience at a place I've had her many many times and I'm happy for her.

Ayup! ::yes::

I haven't told him yet that I'm meeting some axemurdering MySpace friends at the concert in Philly tonight. I'll tell him later after I get a beer or two into him first ....

He's just not one for new people...he's forever a friend once he lets you in.

I don't socialize much since he and I have been together, we're not "bar" people, we're not club people, he hates crowds....see a pattern here?

I'm glad to have you guys, just like Cally you are my world right now-besides work...

I am also glad for MySpace, it lets me keep in touch with the younger of my crew, my niece and nephews, my kids friends...they're all working and going to school and out enjoying their lives. This is how I keep up with everyone without having to "keep up." Know what I mean?

My husband is not one for meeting new people either. He's changed a bit since he started his airplane flying though.

We don't socialize a lot either and I really have no friends besides you guys :goodvibes My closest friends would be my mother and my daughter, after that I don't really hang out with anyone.

We are not bar nor club people either and my husband hates crowds too. We eat out a lot though, he doesn't mind that :p

I have ladies I talk to on a weekly basis, like in dance class but I never see them outside of that situation.

I'm very glad too that I have you guys here to talk to. ::yes::

Colleen...... how cool that Brittany met up with your friend. What are the odds of that happening :smooth: WDW is SO BIG it's not easy to just come across someone by accident.

oh la la... a date!! :p Been awhile since I've been on one of those.. Hope you have a great time!!!

Oh yea, I know what you mean about your hubby... Mine is the same way. He does not like to meet new people, esp people on the net. :teeth: I think a few beers will help out :lmao:

I think some of his anti-socialness (is that a word) has rubbed off on me too but that's only with people I don't know. I feel like I've known you guys for years. :goodvibes

How neat is that for Brittany to run into Rose and Ed!! It's a small word after all, huh? :rotfl2: Oh I bet Brittany is having the time of her life at WDW with her classmates!
