When you said you had white stars coming up I went outside and saw my snowbells were all blooming.

I'm not sure if that is what they are. I googled ( <~~~ in honour of our missing in action friend) snowbells and I'm not entirely positive that's what they look like.

They are barely pokeing their head above the ground so they won't be blooming for quite some time here. The leaves look a lot like crocus leaves

Wow today has been a crazy day! I went to my doctors for an ultrasound and found out Im like a week or more ahead of where I should be. So instead of being 6 1/2 weeks im measuring 7 1/2 to 8 weeks. No big deal just a change in due date but still threw me for a loop. I was expecting to see a really tiny speck on the screen not something I could sort of make out! Thankfully though Ive been released to go onto my OB so I have an appointment on Monday, which I will be getting another ultrasound at . Anyways figured I would show off my pic..

Cally, I think you mean Irises

When the daffodils are finishing their bloom your irises should start budding.

The flowers come out of the middle of the blades (leaves.) Your iris blades should be about 3 to 4 inches tall already and bloom when they reach 6 to 8.

Oh yes that's what I meant....sorry the meds are getting to me I really was thinking irises when I typed lillies..

But yep you are right... the blades are about 3 to 4 inches right now.

I think if my fever is completely gone by this weekend and the weather is right I will do some weeding in the garden!

Seems are neighbors have all ready started to make their yards pretty and we can't have our house a mess

Well the doc had me originally at Nov 2 but I was figuring Oct 30 now its Oct 26. Even that date is still up in the air! I will be having another ultrasound on March 20 with my ob so maybe they can figure it out?

Im glad you got to the docs and are now on the mend....

It has been an mostly uneventful week ....

Monday night DH and I went to dinner with DBIL and DSIL...and just as we are giving our order the power goes out..... ...There are only about four tables and a few people at the bar......So they bring us candles and colse the doors to any more...and we have the place to ourselves...It was very nice...with alot of extra attention.... Really enjoyed it.

Tuesday I cleaned out a desk Im getting rid of in my kitchen...Its so surprising how much junk you can collect in one little space ...

And today, Im trying to finish my WDW planning..but Im not getting to far....

We did decide to drive straight through and I booked a room at the POP for the first night.... I figure Id rather arrive beat ...That way I dont have to worry about getting back in the car for the next day.and I can sleep in, in the AM...I really hate that drive But its worth it to get to go to WDW

Im glad you got to the docs and are now on the mend....

Thank you I'm feeling so much better... although I woke up in the middle of the night freezing. I tried to curl up next to hubby and he said I was burning up. So I took my temp and it was 102 BUTTTTT I took motrin and it's gone now. Hopefully it will stay gone..

Hmm.. ok so Elijah never showed up today...

I sent hubby a text message around 12:22 asking him if his mom said anything about Elijah not coming in.

Hubby calls me back to say that his mom just got a phone call from the school asking her to pick Elijah up from school because the bus took him back there.

The bus driver said they came to our house and no one was there...they waited for 20mins so they left.

I CAN NOT believe the bus driver did that!!! For the record I WAS home and I know there is no way they could of waited for 20mins because I would of saw a bus out there. I was sitting by the front window from 12:00 to 12:20. When Elijah didn't show up that's when I sent hubby the text message.

I don't know why they didn't come up to the house and ring the doorbell.

Let me explain a little...

1. the bus driver is not the only adult on the bus..there's one other lady on the bus that sits with Elijah and also helps him down the steps

2. Elijah is the only kid on the bus

3. the bus stops right infront of my house (NO Way to miss a big yellow bus)

So how in the world could this happen??? Why would the bus leave???

We're they expecting me to greet him at the bus? Why didn't they honk the horn?? So many questions!!!

Now I don't know if his parents are mad or what..because hubby said he didn't really get to talk to Elijah's mom cuz she just came in the room asked if I was home today..when hubby said "yes" she turned around and walked out

She has to fly tonight so there is no way he could talk to her because she has been in briefings up until her flight.

I don't know but I'm mad at the bus drivers!!

Stuff happens. It certainly wasn't your fault because I'm sure that you were watching for the bus to let him off.

Do they check and make sure that you actually meet him before they leave him there? I hope so, too.

I know that last week here a 5 year old was let off of a bus, all alone. The family had moved but he was dropped off at the old bus stop. His mother was waiting for him at the new stop but he didn't arrive. Some lady saw him standing beside the road crying and picked him up and took him to the police station. The school AND the bus company had been notified of his new address Just imagine what could have happened to that poor little boy.

I hope that the problem can be figured out so that it doesn't happen again?

So I wonder what she did with Elijah after she picked him up

I'm not ignoring everyone else , but Cally, that's awful for Elijah and you! I sure hope Mom doesn't blame you. Sounds like a talk with E about what happened might help. I know he's young, but maybe he'll remember something. Was this the first time the bus dropped him off? Was there a recent change in his drop-off address, i.e. his house vs. your house? I'm thinking they were at HIS house. I hope this works out for you and them. We all know how generous you are in helping this family out.


TKs, have any of you entered the Disney Mobile Phone sweepstakes? I think I won?! First, I got an email, then a phone call, and today, by Fed Ex, a package of documents (release, verification, etc.), with a pre-paid return Fed Ex envelope included. I'm sooo confused. IF I won, it's 2 free phones with 12 mos of free service. Unfortunately tho, we just re-signed for 2 years with our existing server and the penalties to cancel might outweigh the freebie. ANYONE enter? Know if this if legit?

Something just seems weird lately. I also won a lottery to buy very expensive, very coveted Cubs tickets today. While I was NOT going to spend $150-$250/ticket , I did buy some $45 tickets, just to say that I did, and to experience Wrigley Field's Bleachers for the First Time!

Maybe I should buy a Mega Millions lottery ticket, or play some slots???? Good/Bad luck comes in 3s right??


I AM reading, and keeping up, just been so busy at work, and at home, and with Kelly's schedule, and side-tracked with planning for 16! of us going to the World in June, that I just haven't posted that much. So, Welcome, and Congrats, and Get Well Soons, and are wished for all the TKs!

We're getting snow tomorrow. Inches, they say. And Spring starts Monday??? We'll see.
