Brittany is staying over her cousin's house, Adrian went to his gf's and John took Britt and isn't back yet.

Penny LOVES snow...I had to chase her down to get her back in the house...

Now the two dogs are wrestling behind me~

Yes, he likes to tell me about the stuff he does while he's at work. Totally non identifying, of course, just in general terms. He had to do CPR compressions for a long time last night and he said it was very hard work and very tiring.

One time he went on a call to find a 200 plus pound naked woman dead in her chair. That must not have been a very pretty sight.

Those kinds of things don't tend to bother him too much it seems. Of course the first time he has to deal with a really terrible thing like a gruesome accident or messy suicide, I don't know how he will react to that.

In highschool he took a class where they got placed in a "job" placement type thing. He asked for the ICU of the hospital. His very first day there he witnessed a death and helped to wheel someone down to the morgue Asking a lot of a 16-17 year old guy I thought.



My cats HATE snow and would rather not go out in the winter at all.

Yesterday I was at the pet store delivering some guppies . They had some kittens in there. The sales clerk took two out of the cage and let me hold them I'm quite surprised because this lady is not always the most friendly person and I didn't even ask to see them, I was just looking at them in the cage.

Maybe she thought since I had money in my hand from selling the fish I might be persuaded to buy a kitten. Good luck, we have enough trouble with the two cats we already have in the house

Robin - I'm happy to say that the singing WAS tonight! I didn't do too bad...I was very nervous in the beginning, but by the end of mass - I was more comfortable! Looks like you're going to tackle quite a job with the kitchen!

TW - the doggies are SO cute! Holly's haircut is VERY short this time - she looks like she's ready for summer (as am I!). I like your suggestions for the kitchen - Do you suppose when it's finished Robin should have a plaque that reads "Welcome to the Threadkillers Kitchen!"?

I took some pics while the puppies were wrestling but didn't get to post cause Britt's been on my computer all day

I can't pop thru without saying hello and goodnight to my threadkiller friends

Got out of work today but that won't happen twice. Britt's already got a two hour delay so I gotta take her and the neighbor's boys to school and then head to work. My neighbor and I switch off on carpooling until Brittany gets her car-a Red Nissan Altima btw- I did see your question Ann. Hubby got it from a coworker for $750. Her Dad bought her a new car so she hooked us up with her old one. The problem is that it's in PA and John and I have to take a special ride to go get it.

Gotta take the title to DMV to register it, get tags for it and then call it in to insure it.

Good morning TKers!!

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

We went to the Circus and had a good time. It was fun, but a little depressing since I get the feeling that we won't have too many more times of doing this, since ds is getting older. We sure didn't see many teenagers there with their parents. I also felt bad afterwards because my mom was telling me about some protesters there, though I didn't see them. They (the protesters) were claiming that the animals are neglected and abused. They looked ok to me, but of course I'm not behind the scenes either.

After the Circus we went to the Cheesecake Factory. This was the 1st time ever here for us. We really liked the decor and the food, service was a little slow. I think this will only be a special occasion restaurant though because of the price. I had the chocolate rasberry truffle cheesecake- it was heaven.

Cally-it's wonderful that your son is feeling better and hopefully you don't have anything.

Today is just a little *blah* to me, I hope everyone else has a good Monday.

We have sun this morning, but its very cold!...Thank god we didnt get the snow everyone got on the east coast...Nice change
I can even see my grass peeking through the snow...

Colleen ..Your dog is very cute....I am going to a pro groomer as soon as Einstein finishes his puppy shots...I really dont know anything about petco...we dont have them here...Good luck and let us see a pic when shes all done...

You should try for the "triangle" in your kitchen..it really does help with movement..You know when the stove ,fridge and sink makes up a triangle...
Like Colleens plan...only with the stove over more away from the fridge...
I also like the island idea...is the table a keeper or can you replace it with a smaller one....with the island I can see alot of use with quick grab meals ...Do you have alot of sitdown family meals?...Maybe a bench type table and chairs ..(the kind with a bench on the inside and a couple of chairs on the outside of the table) they tend to take up less floorspace...
Just a few ideas...

I have been very busy this weekend..We had to go to my DDILs grandmothers viewing on sat. and had a birthday party to go to on Sun. ..... It was for the twins(turned six) and my youngest son,their father.(31)(born on the same day)..So it was a sad/fun weekend...

And I am going out to dinner tonight with DSIL and DBIL(DHs twin)..We meet once a month for dinner out without any other family...this way we can catch up on each others lives without constant interruption (Big families)....
Its a nice break and night out for everyone involved.....

Cally, now you've got me a bit confused. How do you pronounce DeVaughn's name? I hope the doctors visit turned out okay.

SnowWhite, I've never been to a Cheesecake Factory before. We don't have them here. I also haven't been to a circus since the kids were way little, probably about 12 - 14 years ago or so.

Betsy, the table that you see in the picture has 2 leaves in it. They can be removed, remove one and it's a smaller oval table, remove both and it's a small round table. We tend to keep the leaves in so we don't have to store them or the extra chairs but I do keep the table pushed up close to the wall unless we need the extra seating by pulling it out.

About the only one who sits at the kitchen table with any regularity is me, it's mainly a junk collector I suggested to Rick that we take the table out and put in a sort of island, closer to the wall with seating against the wall and a working counter facing into the kitchen area. He didn't think that was such a good idea.

I know what you mean about the triangle and we do need more space between the fridge and the stove area. It seems we all want to crowd into that tiny area for some reason.

It sounds like you had a busy weekend. Where are you going for dinner tonight and what will you have? We are having leftovers tonight, find your own if you want to eat
