Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 6

Good morning all -

Lots to do today Elizabeth has a swim meet so I am off to get ready for that after I finish my coffee and DISsing

I start my Belly Dancing class on Tuesday night - I am so excited I think it's gonna be fun - I used to do it as a kid - my grandmother was/is a Belly Dancer - we are Middle Eastern so it's usually taught generation down - I just didn't keep it up like I should have - so this will be fun...it's such a lost art...

OK OK quit beating me up - the bet between DH & I wasn't all that exciting - I promise you are going to be disappointed......

DH has a tendency to fall asleep when we watch ANY movie - and I do mean ANY movie.....to make matters worse he always chooses a movie that is not quite up my alley but I get stuck having to watch it all the way thru because I get sucked in....so Thursday he wanted to watch Ocean's 12 - I really wasn't in the mood for George Clooney (I know hard to imagine ) I complained a bit and the convo went like this
Me: What is the point you will end up falling asleep
Him: No I won't (ahh denial)
Me: Wanna bet? (there it was - I laid it down a challenge to a man who can not refuse a challenge)
Him: No (HUH!!!! )
Me: No really....
Him: ok what is the bet?
Me: You decide (mistake #2)
Him: ok - if I fall asleep I will plan a weekend getaway for the 2 of us - If I stay awake you plan the weekend getaway for the 2 of us....
So there you have it - told you not very exciting - the last time we made a bet I lost that one too - We were arguing over a Romantic's song - I had to draw a bath for him and.....well you get the idea - again his idea - very creative ain't he???? When will I ever learn NOT to bet this man unless I am holding 2 cards in my hand and 5 are laid out in front of us (Texas Hold 'Em reference)

TN - ok I am getting jealous - you and Mickey are getting real tight - Hey put in a good word for the rest of us will ya' ? There is no such thing as too much Disney....Tell Mickey I said Hi and I will see him in April...

We had movie night lastnight!!! We watched Herbie.. and to my surprise it was actually good! I didn't think I would like it. Dante wants me to buy the DVD now...

Also watched The Fog.. which I think the main idea or concept was good but the movie was kind of boring and drawn out...

We also have Red Eye and Two for the Money which we'll watch today...

We have no plans for today but watch movies.. we'll probably go to the store and pick up a few things.. but that's about it.

I love movie night. We watched underclassman a couple of nights ago....okay. (love popcorn too, one of my favorite foods!!)

We are going on an Alaskan cruise May 13-20. We sail out of Seattle.

I just thought i would drop in and say hi and ask if I could get a little pixie dust and prayers for my ds,11. He has been very ill the last few days and I'm really worried over him. Thursday morning he got up running a fever and just not feeling well. I took him to the Dr and he has a nasty sinus and ear infection, both ears. He's never been a very sick child and normally the antibiotic will have him up and going again within a day. This is the 2nd time this month he's been to the Dr, 2 weeks ago he had strep. Thursday night his fever was over 104 and I was very scared. We put him in the tub that night and it came down some. Since then we have been giving the medicine as we were told, but we can't get the fever down below 101. He's sleeping now so I thought I'd take a minute to ask for a little pixie dust our way!! Thanks for listening!!

Oh by the way........ I had oatmeal for breakfast too. Instant oatmeal, banana bread flavour.

I don't know about the PA DISmeet. It's quite a long hike for me to come to and I'd probably have to do it alone, so probably won't be happening. I'd love to do it though.

It was way warmer today, a girl came into the shop in a tank top and the kids who were supposed to be working were all skateboarding outside.

I didn't think I would get hooked on cruisin but it happened...

My plan is to share with John just how special it can be

the calm ocean as we sail across it, the beautiful warm sun and white sandy beaches, with a touch of Mickey and Pluto...disney dreams and karaoke...it was all so wonderful...

It's ok if you don't make the PA meet, we already have June

Well, I now have internet....but no e-mail! Go figure! I think DH and I are going to look into a new computer.

I DID catch up...but didn't write anything down - but hello newbies, hello Threadkillers...I MISS YOU!

I've been so busy at work that I've not had any time to lurk and with no connection at home....no posting!

Yesterday was mine and DH's 22nd wedding anniversary! He sent me beautiful flowers at work and they smelled SO good! Twenty-five years ago today mine and Tinknutts mom died...we miss her!

I saw Tinknutt tonight - she probably won't post - she worked a 13 hour day with some difficult patients. She was pretty tired!

Tomorrow, DH and I are going to Orlando to visit with DD, DSIL & DGS for the day. Sunday I think we're going to my my WDW AP!!! Then I think we're going computer shopping! I guess all that over time is finally going to pay off!

Well, I'll scoot for now. I've got a ton of stuff to do before bed time and laundry needs folding!

It was a nice day here today too. Rick is away for the day so the kids and I went out appliance shopping. I don't either one of them has ever spent much time in a furniture store. We sure looked at tons of stuff, sat in a bunch of chairs and tested out some new mattresses

Then the 3 of us went out to dinner together.

After dinner we decided to go to WalMart for a bit and now we are home again.

I was just thinking of a couple we cruised with...they spent plenty of time with the group but managed plenty of alone time as well.

Yes, the great thing about this is that we can spend as much time together or as little time together as we want.

If we decide only to get together for dinner every night, heck that's okay. If some of us want to do excursions together or hang out in the clubs at night, then that's wonderful too.
