Gonna eat at the 50's Prime Time Cafe. Anyone been there?

Yes we have eaten there before, maybe twice?

It was a long time ago but I do remember that we really enjoyed it there. The food was great and the themeing is really cool too.

OOPs, I just remembered something and went to check it out.

Disney's MGM Studios

50's Prime Time - Closed for refurbishment 1/4 - 1/27/06
Hollywood and Vine Restaurant - Closed for refurbishment 1/30 - 2/3/06

I guess that you won't be eating there afterall. Better make a new plan

Your other sit down options for MGM are Mama Melrose and the Brown Derby. Both are good. You should know though that the portion sizes @ MM are HUGE! Also remember that Epcot & the Boardwalk are both just a lovely little boat ride away from MGM and also have great places to eat. But I was sad about 50's. TZM and I wanted to go there last weekend, but yeah... found out it was going to be in refurb. I love the pot roast there. Highly recommend it!

Okay... someone help me out. Why was the "Check your siggy" thread stickied if they're not going to do anything about it? I understand now why the thread got made. Some of these people have gone insane with their siggies. A picture, 5 "eggs," a 14-line list of Disney trips in large font, 3 countdowns, and links to everything including grandma's cousin's brother's niece's confirmation photos.

We ate at 50's last time we went and it was really good. The theming was pretty cool Sorry that it's going to be closed... guess you will have to plan another trip after the 27th

hey TKers..loads of work to do so I'll be just a bit on here

so yes i love 50's I highly suggest it for people with kids and up tight people...I got put in time out...and then Cousin eddie tried to feed me beans...man the other people from Jersey who were there found that hilarious...and the japanese tourists were taking pictures of me..that was the highlight of my trip!

oh and Princess C-your boys are too cute!

yes i agree..siggys have gotten out of control..I should shorten mine...and I think the glittery names are just strange...

Yep found out about the 50's being refurb when I went to make ressies, so I booked the Sci Fi Cafe instead. Anyone been there? DS wanted to go there anyway, he likes monster movies.

Do you realize that means I will be making 3 trips to WDW in less than a month!! (Anyone jealous?)

Yep found out about the 50's being refurb when I went to make ressies, so I booked the Sci Fi Cafe instead. Anyone been there? DS wanted to go there anyway, he likes monster movies.

We enjoyed the Sci Fi... the atmosphere was great and our waitress was very funny... the food was so so .. but I had a Chocolate Godiva Milkshake that was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo GOODDDDDDDD!! Definately worth trying

oh and sci-fi is soooo much fun...i got to ' drive' the car at 12...betcha my parents thought they were safe!

but its a fun place great atmosphere and love the film clips..they're so cheesey and great!

Oh yeah... Sci Fi! Umm... the burger was really good. SciFi is moreabout the atmosphere than the food.
