Yes, I guess I keep forgetting that. See I have grown up all over the world and been to many different places.... So for me to run into someone from back in the day does not happen much and is awesome!

Do you and Roger expect to have to move around?

When is his next deployment? I read it and cannot remember the details :confused3

Nope no moving around for us... he's in the Georgia ANG ...so unless he tranfers to another state we are here for good.

He deploys in Oct but this time only for 45-50 days.. It's still sad though. :guilty:

Not moving is a good thing...

My Mom was career military, I had been in four schools by the time I hit 3rd grade then she finally settled down.

One of my goals was to give my kids the stability I never had. John and I lived in one town but knew in 89 we would be getting his g'moms house in another. That was an additional reason for me to put them in a local private catholic school-no matter what year we got the house (it wound up taking 10) they would not have to change schools.

:(

It's a great career for him and a challenge to live with for you and the boys...you know we're here for you, especially when Roger has to go away.

We are your official patriotic support system ::yes::

How better to support our military than to support their family when our soldiers have to go to work?

Food, tummy wants breakfast :teeth:

Wha'cha have?

I just ordered my lunch-it's payroll day-no chance of getting home for food.

Mmmmm-cheesteak sandwich with fried peppers and onions-guaranteed to taste it all afternoon :burp:

:)

I had tea and toast with peabutter and apricot jam.

Yes peabutter not peaNUTbutter because of Alex and his peanut allergy.

Pea-butter tastes close enough to the real thing for me and is totally safe to have in the house.

I wonder where ophie and tzm are :confused3

They haven't been around in quite some time now :confused3

Sounds like a tasty breakfast

You know I know about allergies...if it's safe for your son and tastes just as good I say why not :confused3

I was assuming Ophie was still unpacking

They're probably planning the next getaway

ZJO!

Lurkin and workin! Hope ya'll are doing well.

Cally - good luck with your appt. Now's the time to nip any potential problems in the bud!

Robin - Peabutter - sounds like some low-carb stuff I eat!

Betsy - enjoy your lunch.

I've gotta run....busy day today!

"D" already has his dadz permission to take me from the moving business to the mountain business...kinda cool! :cool1:

Thanks so much!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I think this time will be more easier. The last time was so hard because I was in a new house...new enivornment...had to get use to the new routine...and with him gone.... it was hectic!

I will still miss him and worry about him though.... I just won't be freaked out in the new house.. :rotfl:

Oh I can understand that!

Roger and I were just talking lastnight that we wish the kids had the same traveling opportunity as we did...

And we got to exeperience a lot of different cultures.....took a Philippine culture class in school when we stayed in PI.. Had a Japanese culture class in Japan... been to a lot of different states.....

I guess there is a good and a bad to both sides..

My "moving around" was a bit different than yours

My three schools were Morrisville PA, Bristol PA and Burlington NJ then Willingboro NJ.

I'm not against the military and the moving

I would have rather had a more varied experience like yours. Alls mine did was disable my ability to have any longtime friends. By the time I got to my last school all the kids had established friendships and I was the "newbie" and unfortunately was treated as such...Life was alot easier once I got to high school. There we were all newbies...I had an advantage in HS cause my sister was there the year before me and I actually walked in the door already having friends.

Thank you :smooth:

Now for my other one, DeVaughn... we just received a note home from school yesterday that he is not following the rules and that the teacher would like us to pick a day next week to meet with her. :confused3 Why does it have to be next week?? :confused3 If he is not following the rules I want to know now what he is doing wrong.

I can not get a straight answer from him so its no use talking to him. Sometimes he remembers sometimes he does not. We have all ready explained to him the importance of following the rules and being good in school. :confused3 He is in Kindergarden and its his first time in a school environment so I wonder if that is the problem :confused3

Well I guess I will find out next week. We scheduled it for Monday at 730 AM the soonest we could.

Any advice out there for me??? :confused3

Don't fret...been there done that. Sometimes our rules (parents) are different then the teachers expectations. So wait and see if it is something serious or just an explanation need to your son as to what is expected while in school. Remember he's new at this :goodvibes . I used to get ALOT of notes on my eldest (because he's always been a physical child, loves to wrestle etc.....), and look at what a wonderful young man he's become....serving our armed forces!! :cheer2: Hope this helps, if not try this :grouphug:

Sorry TN!

Just finished payroll and I'm now trying to catch up on everything else on my desk

It's too funny, when I read your Hello Hello-one of my dispatchers was in the other room singing the same line from a song! :rotfl2:

He sings ALOT!

The Cheesesteak was my splurge for the day

I rarely eat fast food (too high in calories/fat/sodium for my liking) payroll day is the exception.

I must be doing well with my new eating habits

I'm wearing a shirt today that when hubby bought it for me in Orlando last December wasn't comfortable on me at all.

~Got lotsa nice comments too~
