Well, tinknutt rode her own lurker mobile and is here at the house having turkey BLT's. Yummmy....but the company is the best part!

Ever have one of those "weird" days? Not a bad day, just weird....I feel like it's Friday - if I don't show up for work tomorrow, I told my boss to call....'cuz I'm thinkin' it's Saturday!

Just had to let you guys know got into my size 12 capri pants today, although, I had to lay down on the bed to zip them up Well to finish the story...You ever seen an ironing board sit? Well thats what it felt like. The breathings been rough too!! Picture this???!!!

Kool and the Gang will be there if we wanna go see them. I wanna wait and see which park Rose would do.

I also have an invite to meet a DIS friend for breakfast before they come home. We overlap by one day. This is the same person that organized the DIS meet I went to in July. It'll be really nice if we could see each other in our "second home."

we just received a note home from school yesterday that he is not following the rules and that the teacher would like us to pick a day next week to meet with her. Why does it have to be next week?? If he is not following the rules I want to know now what he is doing wrong.

My thoughts exactly! It'd be bugging the crud outta me to have to wait.

My other thought was that this teacher might be slightly inadequate/weak/timid? I mean, if after what, 1-1/2 - 2 weeks they've been in school, and he/she hasn't gained control of the classroom yet (and DeVaughn for that matter), and laid down specific rules and consequences, and follow thru with them then, just a thought/chance, it's partly the teacher's fault. AND, since it doesn't seem to be URGENT to the teacher, makes me wonder even more.

Don't (well, TRY not to ) drive yourself crazy this weekend.

Don't fret...been there done that. Sometimes our rules (parents) are different then the teachers expectations. So wait and see if it is something serious or just an explanation need to your son as to what is expected while in school. Remember he's new at this . I used to get ALOT of notes on my eldest (because he's always been a physical child, loves to wrestle etc.....), and look at what a wonderful young man he's become....serving our armed forces!! Hope this helps, if not try this

Thanks Kim... That makes perfect sense to me... I was kind of thinking the same thing too but I didn't want to say anything about the teacher. He is only in Kindergarden so what could he possibly be doing wrong. I know he is not hitting other kids...He is not a physical person...more like a run away person...

I don't know but I will keep everyone updated.....I'm trying to put it on the back burner for now!

He came home yesterday afternoon and before I could say anything to him he goes "Mama, I was a good boy today" ... so I guess he does understand and was paying attention when we had our talk.

Well we ordered our spa..last night.....Not a real big one....Just the basics..only 16 jets ..which is not very many compared to most other spas......Wow some of those models are just crazy...waterfalls rainbow lighting ...underwater music ...So silly.....Over the last few months I have looked at spas that would cost a person....10.000 or more ....We got the bottom of the line I think...but it will be just fine for us...

Ive got so many things to do today.....(I probably wont get them all done..).
I have to mow..with the rain we have been getting... the grass is growing again...and I will have a hayfield if I dont....I have to go food shopping....Im suppose to go help a friend unpack stuff into a new craft room she is starting.....There is more ...but I havent had enough coffee yet.....Ill remember what they are after a few more cups.. ....Right now Im lucky to be finding the right keys to type this....

I know its early but, Seeing you have been befor ....How are the prices at the fair.....like the average lunch cost....and how much are the drinks they offer....I just want to make sure we bring enough cash....I cant imagine they will take cards at the venders...Can you pay with a card at the gate or should I plan cash for that also?...

Your job change, Is it within your company?.....will you be doing payroll in the new job too?...Sound like a cool place to work!

Hi Betsy! Nah, it's not too early to ask!

I emailed them to make sure the ticket window takes plastic, I'm pretty sure they do. (I have a coupon which'll make it $20.95 for each of us to get in.)

I think most of the food is cash-they got Turkey Legs and sandwiches and popcorn and soda and beer and nuts and funnel cake...Faire Food! BP would burst of food if he came to this faire. John and I have done the Oktoberfest weekends for the food and beer they sell.

I attached the pdf schedule and map of the fairgrounds for you - it's the link at the bottom.

From the front gate, alot of the food is to the left and shopping is in that front left corner. The shops take plastic...the prices are reasonable for the food, jewelry and knick knacks - it's the clothes that are expensive.

~They even sell herbs and garden decor~ Not to mention the wine at the winery - that's at the front gate.

Your welcome. I'm sure your son will be fine and so will you. I gave myself and my DH kudos when ours graduated. It really is a parents goal. Our eldest, DS is in the Navy, only been in about 3years now and is going up for E-5, he has an Assoc. degree in criminal justice, but decided he wasn't sure if he wanted to be a police officer. So he works with and F-18 squadron loading bombs and ammo and sending them off the flight deck. He has done very well for himself and is still very active!!!

Your job change, Is it within your company?.....will you be doing payroll in the new job too?...Sound like a cool place to work!

It's actually office manager. I'll be taking over alot of the backroom stuff. Accounting, payroll & whatever else (beside buying) DH needs me to do.

The only reason I hesitate is because I would have to drive to work, my days off would most likely be Sunday and Monday (same as the boss) and John doesn't like the hours---too late for his liking. The store would be open from 10 to 8 but I think I could finagle earlier hours if I could get my an butt outta bed in the AM.
