Music & Dance Weekend
September 24 & 25, 2005
On this special weekend when the Shire is in perfect harmony, Her Majesty recognizes the scores of musicians who play all season long for Her Faire guests. Both on stage and in the lanes, they create the music that is the soul of the Shire.
Playing for us today, are the Burly Minstrels, Celti-copia, Empty Hats, Faire Enough, The Mirandola Fanfare Trumpets, The Rakish Rogues, The Sultry Sirens of Sin, The Royal Harpists, Scotlands Reign, and Sybils Silly Songs.
We also are fortunate to be able to enjoy the music of harpist Sarah Mullen for one final weekend this season.
The men of the shire always enjoy the guest appearance by the talented and lovely dancers of Troupe Sahara Belly Dancers, performing on the Chess Stage at 11:00, 1:30 and 5:00.
Relax at the new and beautiful Piazza as you are serenaded by the sounds of the Media Chamber Chorale throughout the day.
Finally this glorious weekend, prepare to be astounded by the Hunt Family Fiddlers. Sandy and Clint, with their seven children ages 7 to 15, will get your hands clapping and feet moving as they fiddle and dance traditional reels, jigs more. See this amazing family at The Swashbuckler at 11:00, 12:30, The Globe Theatre at 3:30, and the Boarshead Inn at 5:00.
Whatta ya mean leave the axe home? We always take the axes to the faire
