In September, no exact day yet

We do this as a day trip, it's only about 1 1/2 hours from us.

PA is a HUGE state!

Would you drive 3 hours for a day trip? seems kinds far....except for Robin, 3 hrs is about normal for her ;)

We might?....But if I was going to enjoy the wine....Id probably want to stay over ...they have some places that seem reasonable.for a night....AND a few with indoor pools....although it closes at 7 ...we could be home by 10...if we made it a day trip.....Please let me know what dates you are thinking about and Ill talk to my DH about it.....Id love to meet you in person...It would be fun!.....But tell your DH to hide all his axes.. :teeth:

Run these two dates by hubby...

Scottish Weekend
September 17 & 18, 2005

Shire lads and lasses don kilts and revel in the Highland festivities led by the majestic sounds of the Scotland’s Reign Bagpipe Band at Bosworth Field at 12:30 and in processions with the Queen throughout the day.

You are invited to join in the Highland Games Competition, including the caber and sheaf tosses, at Bosworth Field at 2:00 and 4:00.

More great prizes await the winners of the Men in Kilts competition at 2:30 upon the Chess Stage.

Special Highland music and dance will be found all weekend long, featuring the Tartan Terrors and special guest appearances by the Sundance Heritage Dancers at 11:00, 12:30 and 2:00 and 3:30 at the Boarshead Inn.

We also welcome Sarah Mullen back with her Celtic Harp.

Finally, what would Scottish weekend be without a little mayhem? Scottish Mayhem returns for their weekend. Catch them while you can, for this is their last appearance of the season. At O’Malley’s at 11:00, The Boarshead Inn at 1:30, and the Globe at 3:30 and 4:30. Don’t miss the ultimate Scottish music jam, as Scottish Mayhem and The Tartan Terrors join forces at the Swashbuckler at 6:00.

Music & Dance Weekend
September 24 & 25, 2005

On this special weekend when the Shire is in perfect harmony, Her Majesty recognizes the scores of musicians who play all season long for Her Faire guests. Both on stage and in the lanes, they create the music that is the soul of the Shire.

Playing for us today, are the Burly Minstrels, Celti-copia, Empty Hats, Faire Enough, The Mirandola Fanfare Trumpets, The Rakish Rogues, The Sultry Sirens of Sin, The Royal Harpists, Scotland’s Reign, and Sybil’s Silly Songs.

We also are fortunate to be able to enjoy the music of harpist Sarah Mullen for one final weekend this season.

The men of the shire always enjoy the guest appearance by the talented and lovely dancers of Troupe Sahara Belly Dancers, performing on the Chess Stage at 11:00, 1:30 and 5:00.

Relax at the new and beautiful Piazza as you are serenaded by the sounds of the Media Chamber Chorale throughout the day.

Finally this glorious weekend, prepare to be astounded by the Hunt Family Fiddlers. Sandy and Clint, with their seven children ages 7 to 15, will get your hands clapping and feet moving as they fiddle and dance traditional reels, jigs more. See this amazing family at The Swashbuckler at 11:00, 12:30, The Globe Theatre at 3:30, and the Boarshead Inn at 5:00.

Whatta ya mean leave the axe home? We always take the axes to the faire :earboy2:

Guess what, I'm going to Disney World!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, again!!!!!!!!

~~~~~~~~~~
Rose called me 30 minutes ago and said Southwest has airfare, round trip for $117...are we going?
I thought for a tenth of a second, asked hubby if he wanted to go...he said no, he has no vacation time to use...but if I wanted to go I should.
So I turned back to Rose on the phone and said book-it-Rosey!
We're all set for the 8th of October, she already had her 3 bedroom (time-share) home booked for that week. We were gonna drive but for $117-it's cheaper to fly.
Of course she had to get it for me cause my :badpc: decided to hiccup when I was booking the flight and I wound up on the next one and had to have Rose book it for me.
Oh Well...
cause :dancer: I'm goin to disney world
I'm goin to disney world...
naner naner naner
Who's comin with us?
We got 3 bedrooms, I got one, Rose got one and we still have two twins and a couch bed open...
Colleen,!
You are one lucky duck! :cool1: ....AND You have a really nice friend!..... :flower:
AND
:cheer2: Your going to Disneyworld...AGAIN! :cheer2:
Rose likes to vacation and happens to have family in Orlando
Her Dad was a retired CM. He passed recently :angel:
~She's a challenge to keep up with sometimes and a very good friend~
oh yeah...and I'mmm goin to Disney world...:dancer:
Ok, I'll stop now...
I have a Disney smile on my face right now :teeth:
We'll relax for this vaca mostly...she has a AP to Busch Gardens and I've never been there so we'll probably do that.
We want to go to IOA for Halloween Horror Nights and I wanna hit at least one day at Disney...Rose really likes Epcot, I have a feeling we'd do that.
Have you done soarin yet?.....I just LOVE that ride...
Nope, not yet, definitely on the list
That and Mission Space, just so I can say I tried it.
The house Rose has is on a resort property called Summer Bay. They have activities all week long and we may actually take advantage of some of that.
