Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 5

Happy Sunday everyone! It's a new week!! Big plans? Anyone?

No big plans here either.... just another week..

Robin, you know you love doing laundry and housework.. I know it will be great to have Alex back.


Well we found out this morning that Roger's father (grandpa) had to be admitted into the hospital lastnight. We are not sure what is going on yet but they are in Savannah. We were all suppose to go to Savannah for a get together this weekend but Roger and I and the kids decided not to go because we had a lot of catching up to do with the kids because of school. So Roger's parents went up to Savannah to celebrate Roger's youngest and oldest sister's birthdays and it was also Roger's oldest sisters husbands birthday.

But anyhoo, for a little background.. Roger's father is a heavy heavy smoker and he had a stroke once before a few years back. He became paralized on one side of his body because of the stroke. And he has not stopped smoking...

Well lastnight we were told that he all of sudden had a mini seizure....he came out of it and his eyes were glazed over and he had no idea where he was or what had happened... They called 911 and he was admitted into the hospital in Savannah. So they are doing tests on him and have ruled out another stroke They are not going to release him until tomorrow. He seems to be doing better now. He is talking and wants to go home...

So sorry to hear about Roger's father Cally.

I hope that he will be home soon and that they figure out what happened so they can possibly treat it for him.

It is very hard for smokers to stop isn't it. I think they start out thinking that nothing will happen to them and then when it does they figure they might just as well keep smoking because it is too late by then.

Im sorry to hear about your FIL....I hope he recovers soon...

...We didnt get as much done as we would have liked today, but It has been sooo HOT here....I went food shopping with the DGGs in the morning after church, While Mike dug post holes..but after lunch ..instead of doing the rest of the holes we went to the lake and went swimming ...Man that water felt sooo nice...and it was way too hot for DH to be digging post holes...and like they say "Put off for tomorrow, what could have been done today" OK ....OK I know it didnt go quite THAT way....But I like it!

Oh and the kids saw two movies ......"MulanII", and "Because of winn- dixie"...They liked them.....I really liked Winn-dixie, but I didnt see enough of Mulan to say...(I was cooking)....Ill have to watch it befor we send it back.....

It has been quite cool here today. Our heat has all gone away for a bit. By cool, I don't really mean cold but cooler - mid 70's as opposed to 90 +

No Cally its about a dog and a little girl...Its very cute....She names the dog Winn-dixie because she finds him in that food store.....The boys would probably like it.....I think the guy who plays the father...is Jeff Daniels..

Not my birthday yet but celebrated this weeekend. Cake was GGRREAAT Ann even had a taste

OMG! That cake was SO good! I had a sliver and I swear clouds of glory opened overhead and I could hear the angels singing!

Wait.....maybe that was the karaoke we did after the cake! Tinknutt, I don't know about you - but my voice is G-O-N-E! How many WW points do I get for all the dancing!

DalPal - I bet the lake was awesome! I'd rather do that than dig post holes anyday!

Well, Tinknutt's birthday is officially Tuesday, but we decided to celebrate early. We had an awesome time! It's always fun when the sister's get together. I also go to go shopping with Tink when she went looking for shoes...only we didn't look at shoes most of the time. I'm not much of a clothes shopper and we sorta struck while the iron was hot.

Here's the kicker - I didn't get anything either! She's just too nice and spent half the time looking at what I wanted to look at. Next time, Susan - it'll be shoes all the way with a very teeny-tiny side track to the book store.....but only for 5 minutes...I promise!

Anyway, I had a great night last night with ya sis! Today, DH and I went to b'fast, Wal-Mart and then got a few things done around the house...took a nap (yep, Tinknutt - they all know how much I love to take naps!) and did a few more things around the house!

MY SOUL MATE!!!!
When the sister's get together for our sister's weekends, they'll shop, shop, shop! Then about 4 hours (or half way through) into it, they'll drop me off at a book store or coffee shop with a good book and give me a break. It's a wonderful time and I really enjoy it, but I don't have the shopping stamina they do! I am getting better, tho!

Betsy, Win-dixie sounds like a good movie! I think I will have to show it to the boys. After the boys went to sleep lastnight we watched Ray. It was good. I had some tears in certain parts. Me singing: Georgia....Georgiaaaaaaa.....the whole day through.....Just an old sweet song...Keeps Georgia on my mindddddddd!!!!!

Ok ok ok... too early for singin!

Ann thank you for the well wishes and speedy recovery.. They are suppose to come home today and today is sil birthday. She's 23. Ahhh..to be young again!
