How's everyone this Friday morning? So does anyone have any exciting plans for this weekend? We were suppose to go to Savannah this weekend but does not look like it is going to happen. We still have some stuff we need to do with the kids for school.

Sorry I've been away, those night shifts get me all out of wack!! In fact I need to catch a couple of ZZZ today. Think I've only had about 4-5 hours sleep in 2 days!!!!

Cally, I plan to see family this weekend and celebrate a birthday. Also may have an out of town guest.

BP - I like the Male Sundae!! Yummy Yummy!! Oh, the ride would be on my motorcycle (VTX 1800).

Robin - I'll shop around and if I find any cool fabric will pick it up. Are you wanting Mickey Mouse in particular?

Ann - Can't wait to see you this weekend.

Good Morning!

Happy friday TN! ..Sounds like you need to find a quiet place in the back yard and snooze in a hammock or something.....

We are going to start the landing of our deck this weekend......The deck is going to wrap around three sides of our house(not all at once...a little now ...a little next year)when its done.. ..We do everything ourselves..So our house MIGHT be done by the time we are ready to go in a nursing home ... ..Maybe if we make the house nice enough...one of the DGKs will want to come and take care of us in our old age! ...

Well I found a few nice cabins up in the Adirondacks, but if you want the ones that let you have your dog...they can get pretty steep in cost....So Im not sure what we are going to do.... ...Maybe leave the dog in the kennels....I would really like to take him though ...all we plan on doing is hike and enjoy the countryside.....Oh well Im not giving up yet...I still have some time...Ill keep looking....

How are the boys liking being back to school?.......Most of my DGDs are looking forward to it.....My DGSs are home schooled....So My DDIL has started them on there classes for this coming year already...

The boys are loving school. I'm surprised how eager DeVaughn (the baby) is to go to school. He's the shy loner type so I figured he would not like school so much. He is also a night owl and usually drags in the morning but he is getting use to the routine.

Dante is an all around good boy/good student!! I'm so proud of them both!!

How are the DGK's liking school so far?

Wow Betsy your deck sounds like it's going to be nice!! Don't forget to post some pictures.

Let me know if you find a good cabin! I want to make sure my bags are packed and ready to go with you.

The boys love to learn....every week they tell or show me the stuff that lori(my DDIL)has had them learning.....She is very good at it ...very structured...I have to tell you I could not home school.......Im not that organized...

Oh and you are always welcome to meet us there...and hike with us......the views are amazing....I use to live up north when I was a kid....Its just beautiful....I just would not like to live up there in the winter....

I had thought I would prefer Mickey Mouse or Minnie, or a combination of Mickey, Minnie and friends. I like Tinkerbell too. I don't really have a colour preference either.

No big plans for me this weekend.

I have some stethoscope covers to sew but nothing else planned as of yet.

Thanks Cally! I think so too. We took a lot of good pictures on our date. TZM had some of them printed off and was sweet enough to have doubles made for me. I love having them around my apartment. They make me smile every time I see them.

Nope, NO plans whatsoever for the weekend for Kelly & I! Thank Goodness!! And, if it keeps raining, maybe I won't even change out of my jammies, otherwise I'd have to get dressed to turn the sprinkler on. Neighbors have an uncanny knack of spotting me at my least favorable moments.

Kelly's friend spent the day with us today, and we went to see Sky High! I enjoyed it, I really did! It was cute, funny, comic-book kinda funny, just really entertaining for 1-1/2 hrs. Oh, the girls liked it too. Of course, Linda Carter, the HS principal makes a Wonder Woman remark , no spoiler there, you just KNOW it's gonna happen sooner or later! (PG-13 rating must only be for the 'violence' of the main villian, which quickly turns funny actually, but DDs friend got scared for a brief second, until she saw what happened.)

Tonight we also watched Because of Winn Dixie, and DD was bawling even when the girl in the movie wasn't! I kept telling her, the movie isn't over yet, just wait. Thankfully, tears were replaced quickly with a smile! (BTW, this one deserves it's PG-13 rating, as DD quickly pointed out several 'bad' words - not curse - just rude, and not nice)
