You're to be congratulated m'dear! That's a long time. :goodvibes

I wish I could say you jogged my memory or something, but I clearly do not remember my 17th BD! :rotfl:

Yes that IS a long time. We met in November of 1974 and started going out together officially in March of 1975, so OUCH that IS an awfully long time :earboy2:

I don't remember my 17th but I sure wish that I hadn't pitched my diary in the trash, because then I would be able to jog my memory about all those teenage years birthdays. Stupidest thing I ever did, the day I threw that diary away :guilty:

Maybe, maybe not. The day my mother read my diary, I never wrote another word. :rolleyes2

I don't think I ever wrote anything incriminating in my diary ;)

I was a pretty boring teenager anyway.

My diary was basically a summary of what I did that day, who I saw etc.

I don't know if my mom ever read my diary or not. :confused3

Several funnies in this.......

What's the point of a diary if it doesn't contain ALL the truths? ;)

Trust me, if your Mom read it, and it HAD been truthful ;) , she'd have grounded you like mine did! :rotfl2:

j/k Robin, I know you were an

I was never grounded in my whole life.

I certainly was no angel. I went to parties every weekend. I wasn't one of the one who drank alcohol or used drugs though.

I always got my kicks out of watching the other kids get "stupid" ;)

My parents were pretty lenient ::yes::

I had one of those 5 year diaries. Ya know, the ones with the miniscule spot for each day that you could write about 2 sentences if you wrote really really tiny :rotfl: Not much room for truths there. :smooth: I do know that sometimes I wrote things in code :rolleyes1

I'm having fun with you tonight! :rotfl:

WELL, YOUNG LADY, YOU'RE GROUNDED! FOR A WEEK..........BECAUSE I SAID SO!

Ok Raymond. :rotfl2: (Have you ever watched Everybody Loves Raymond? The tie-in is from an episode of that series. :rotfl: )

:rotfl2: Yes I saw that episode.

Raymond does not write very good code :rotfl:

I think my code was better and I can only remember one instance for sure that I used it.

ooooo, grounded for a week :scratchin

Might not be such a crazy idea :smooth:

As long as I get off my grounding before my cruise leaves

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KIM

ONE WEEK YOUNG LADY!!!! Plenty of time before your Cruise! ;)

Smilies aren't working for me. :( (I had to type them in, Manually!)

Got any plans made to celebrate your special day Kim?
Aww, thanks Robin, I know it's my BD where YOU are. ;)

Kids & I are probably going to Lone Star restaurant. A steak house, where I hope I can get shrimp :confused3 ....Matt says I can.

I told my Mom yesterday, my plans are to go to work, (get car fixed - that came up today  ), and NOT cook. She said that sounded ok. ;) My parents gave me a gift certificate to the local Mall. :teeth: :goodvibes :cheer2: Heck, even the MALL gave me a $5 GC for my BD! Not bad! ;)

I know it's not your birthday yet where you are but I can't stay up that late

You mean your wonderful boss makes you WORK on your birthday :earseek:

Maybe he should take you out to lunch ::yes::

Hey, any excuse to eat out is a good one, right ::yes::

Enjoy your meal out with the kids.

Goodnight Kim.

I'm off to try and get some sleep.

Have a great day, buy yourself something nice with all those mall gift certificates (whatcha going to get??)

I scheduled closings so he COULDN'T take me out. ;) 2 restaurant meals in ONE day?!?! Not good. I'm sure I'll get a 'nice' card tho. :goodvibes

What to buy, what to buy???? :confused3 There's a Disney Store AND a Hallmark and a Kohl's and a Target, plus...... - trust me, I'll spend it. ;)

Nitey nite, sweet DREAMS, please! :cloud9: And thanks, again! :grouphug: :goodvibes

:cake: Happy Birthday Kim!! :cake:

I hope you're all well TKers. Today I took Mom to get her hair cut and I went to the Post Office so I could mail a package to my cousin who had the twins recently. Tomorrow we're cleaning house and writing Thank You cards.

Thanks ophie!

So glad to hear that your Mom is feeling more 'up' for activity. {{HUGS}} for you ophie :grouphug: ! I'm sure she LOVES having all your help! :goodvibes Speedy recovery :wizard: for Mom!

ophie, IF any of those thank you cards are for sending cards (which is all I did), don't trouble your Mom. I know she got it, and I've been thanked. ;) She has other issues right now that are more important.

In my book, GIFTS get a thank-you card/call, cards don't get thank-you cards. ;) JMHO

Morning TKers and a sunny and chilly morning it is here.

Had to scrape those car windows again and the roofs are painted white this morning. The flowers seem to have escaped any damage though.

Everybody needs to pop in here and say hello:

Have a great day everyone.

I'm off to shower and eat, or eat and shower (can't make up my mind which way to do it, ;) )
