I must have killed a bunch of threads in my day. Sorry to intrude upon this thread but I have to say that KimRaye has to be one of the most coolest posters on the DIS. SSSSHHHSSS. Don't let her know I said that. She is the sweetest person that I had the pleasure to communicate with years ago. I just want you all to know what a special lady you have posting on this thread. Alright ladies. I have to pack up some things. I'm headed to NC tomorrow to help my mom with her recovery. I'll be up there until just before the vacation timer hits zero.

Unfortunately that is the day after we return from our trip to California.

The weather's looking pretty promising for here today.

Sunshine with a small chance of isolated showers temperatures in the upper 60's. I guess I can handle that.

They have been busy harvesting the pumpkin field behind us yesterday and also today. They are taking the whole pumpkins this year. In past years they have just taken the seeds and spit the rest of the pumpkin out and plowed it under. Those pumpkins sure make a loud whack when they hit the bottom of an empty wagon

I had planned on sleeping in this morning but it didn't work. Alex is at school, Liz is at her clinical placement for nursing at the nursing home. Rick is at work. I guess that I will just have breakfast, shower and then decide what to do with the day

Alex is going this weekend to visit his girlfriend at her university. The drive is about 7-8 hours away. He's leaving about noon. It is their 3 year anniversary today and they are going to go to McDonald's when he gets there. That is their anniversary tradition

Oops, kitty wants to go outside.

Did not have time to catch up yet. But they have a computer at our stop in NC mountains. I'm in Little Switzerland!! A cute Inn high in the mountains. Saw a beautiful sunrise . Enjoying the ride, but I think we've had enough of the mountains. Very curvey, and slow....So we are thinking of leaving the Blue Ridge Parkway and spending a day in Winston Salem since it is Oct. and close to Halloween. We may get back on the parkway tomorrow in Virginia. Just wanted to check in and say hello...hope everyone is well!!

Oooops forgot to tell you....Weather has been great we hit a low in the mountains of 57 and had the smell of Christmas trees. Makes for a nice trip to get us Floridians in the fall mood.

Glad to hear the good news on your mom Ophie, will send card on my return.
