Hiya Colleen,

Guess what....My DSis is going to come with us to the faire...She just happened to have the day off...But dont worry she isnt an axe murderer either.....She has abused a few pair of Scissors in the past though.... Truth be told I got really mad at her for one thing or another and went after her with an icepick
once ..when I was 8 or 9 or so....She had to lock herself in the family car
....Im sure I wouldnt have done anything even if I did get to her......but being four years younger then her it WAS one of my shinning moments....I didnt get the best of her very often....and in spite of that we really are and have been the best of friends...Ahhhh childhood

Now I abuse her thru her children

ya know, sugar em up and send em home kinda torture

Hubby will have to get over his aversion to axe murderers----really----

I'll be off from work all day tomorrow,
preparin for my BBQ.

I'm sure I'll be lurking quite a bit in between---unless of course I have to deal with

then I will simply say, I can't wait for Saturday! I can't wait to meet you and hubby AND your sis!

Good Evening Thread Killers & Lurkers Alike!

Are newbies welcome?

Well...fair season is winding down.....mere days to go...Friday & Saturday....

PA has been kicking an butt.....

at this least fair...she entered 18 items...got 18 ribbons.....inluding a huge red rosette for second place in the whole department.....

sigh......I haven't had time to catch up...and don't think I'll be able to for a bit.....

so...if I missed something important...forgive me....

here's what's happening....

PA has been havin pains....agter mucho Doctor visits and tests...she was sent to a specialist....out of town....

I took her the week we were on vacation...8/24 to be exact....

some treatments...and more tests....and we met the specialist....

and now...I take her back on Monday...she has surgery Tuesday...and will be in the hospital 4 to 6 days afterwards.........

in the meanwhie.....she's had some pain free days...and others not pain free....

so...while we had fun at fairs....some of the times were not up to our usual.....

she wanted to schedule the surgery for after the fairs...and did....

so....between work...fairs....and my impersonation of a Home-Ec Diva.... I haven't been here much....

I think all I've done here is pick my race drivers....

anyway....thought I'd pop in and let you know eh? <~~~ note the "eh"

otherwise....another week would be gone by before you saw hide or hair

speaking of which........do you guys know what a "Round-Up" ride is?

well...if you do...and decide to ride it....here's a little hint....

don't slide up the cage so the centrifigal force pins you suspended aa it twirls while wearing a kilt.....

when the ride stops and you slide down...the kilt has a tendency to bunch up.....

the lady across from me gave me a look...that is best described as:

she googled me

see? I told you about that google stuff...

it all makes sense to me now.....

So glad to have you posting here again (we KNOW about the 'car' thing ), so happy to hear how well PA did with her entries! So SORRY to hear of another TK having surgery this week. Both PA & Ann, and all your families, are in my thoughts and prayers this week!

Googled me? I swear, some parents were discussing googling themselves today, and I couldn't HELP but LOL, thinking of you BP, and how you're 'uncomfortable' with googling/being googled!
