Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 2

I agree that Dick Clark never seemed to age, ever.

I didn't watch any of the New Years Eve celebrations.

At the stroke of midnight I was taking down the Christmas tree.

The cat was chewing on tinsel and that is not good for kitty insides.

I didn't think I wanted to start the year out with an emergency vet visit so I took all the tinsel and ornaments off the tree.

I never put any of it away permanently yet but at least she can't eat the tinsel now.

You wanna try something difficult, try taking down quadruple stapled-to-the-wall Christmas garlands. There's garland shrapnel everywhere! One of the respiratory therapists told us it was bad luck to have the Christmas decorations up past New Years... we night shifters are a superstitious lot! :)

Of couse, my tree is still up at home! :O

You need a flat screwdriver or something to get under the staples and pop them off.

That would make your job a lot easier.

Got a scalpel around :rotfl:

My tree is still up too but now it's naked:scared1:

I wound up prying them off with some forceps. It was tough to reach the very tip-top ones since the only chair I have to stand on has wheels. Didn't wanna try THAT at 01:30 in the morning! Ha! :)

Well at least you are in the right place when you fall off that chair and hurt yourself :rotfl:

Hey, great idea! That might get me out of work the next two nights... Hmmm. ;)

I'm not sure that is a good way to get some time off of work.

Well, I'm so sorry to run off after I've just gotten to meet you, mannasn, but it's 2:38 am here and I should try and get some sleep. :cat:

I'll be looking forward to talking to you again real soon.

Don't be a stranger.

We love to have new people pop in and end up sticking around for years :teeth:

Later

Wow Robin you are UP LATE!!!! Dick Clark just made his appearance...they'll bounce back & forth between him, Ryan & Fergie (in Hollywood CA) for this last half hour...then it'll be midnite AND i can go to bed!!!;) Right now i'm planning out my new "swim" workouts that i'm starting this next week....especially now that i just saw Carson's new show "How to look good Naked" :scared1:

i have to say that Dick LOOKS AND SOUNDS really good!!!! Better than last year - so i think he's been working really hard this year!!!

That's nice to hear.

I don't think there any hope of me "looking good naked".

No matter how hard I try :scared:

Yes I am up late and I should NOT be up late but whatcha gonna do. :confused3

Too late now to change it.

Haha, I'm going to bed now.......... I mean it......... really I do :lmao:

Good night Robin...i'm going to bed now too!!! it's 12:15 01/01/08 so it's time...tomorrow i have to take down our tree too :sad2: AND hopefully go see national treasure or sweeney todd....

Good Morning Threadkillers....Happy 2008!!! Robin...you up yet????;)

Hello and Goodmorning!

We had a good dinner last night...for what we paid, we've had better  It was absolutely more about the company than the food last night :)

Never made it to the theatre...we wound up at my house watching Eastern Promises. That movie wasn't anywhere near what we expected...I was looking for lots of action, it was all story, just short of a chick flick :upsidedow

Can you believe it's 48 degrees here and sunshine is forcast for when the mummer's parade starts later today :cool2:

Morning Brenda and Colleen and all of you TKers!

It's snowing here. Started about 8:30ish ans we have about 3 inches so far. The forecast was for an inch. It's really pretty outside and the snow gives us a good excuse to stay home and have a relaxing day!:thumbsup2

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Yes I was up but I didn't post yet.

I was catching up and then went to get some breakfast first.

Seems like neither one of us slept too much last night;)

The snow we were supposed to get overnight didn't amount to much.

It is extremely windy out though and it is kinda snowing still.

I hope it stays away.

Colleen what is a mummers parade:confused3

Oh yeah, the temperature HERE is 32, I'd much rather have yours.

Although our forecast is calling for 51 on Monday.

Good 2008 Mornin!:goodvibes

Packin all of James stuff up & shipping him home! He konked out last night within 10 mins of the Twilight Zone marathon!

My Neice set up her phone too call my sister (her Aunt) at the stroke of Midnight (not her son...who was here...but her aunt:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 )...so she told her DH to just push "THAT" button too call Aunt Nancy at Midnight.
