Has anyone checked out the Look-Alikes thread?

I saw you over there DU ;)

There are soooo many pics of dissers and their celebrity look alike... it's a pretty fun thread.

Aisling is there too...she said they said she looks like Dame Judy Densche.

 Hi Cally~

I am all ready for school now. Alls that's left is to register in January. Classes start the next day. I have to buy my own books, pay for the extraneous fees and lab fees, but that's it.

I also picked up some things for Disney today. I am checking a bag this time so I am able to take all our toiletries. I did most of my laundry last night. I have one more load to do before I can finish my packing.

:woohoo: Only three more sleeps :woohoo:

Morning all! I've been lurking, but have bgeen crazy busy with work so haven't had a minute to post. So here's a quick post to comment to everything you folks have been chatting about. Looks like I've been missing lots of fun!
Go get all those 'bads guys" and put them away for the holidays!:thumbsup2

Like GPs wife, I am also twice the woman
With twice the LOVE....and a zillion times the brains!:goodvibes

I was going to make roast beef last SUnday, but saw DU's post about lasagna and said Yum! So we had lasagna instead.
:thumbsup2

Hate meatloaf so refuse to participate in any taste test. When I was a kid Mom would make it one week and Dad would make it the next, then they would ask us to judge whose was better. I always told them they were both horrible!:scared:
Nsalz (wherever she is???) told us about you being the 'difficult' child!:headache:

I cannot stand black licorice..except in good and plenty and I absolutely  good and plenty:confused3 That has always confused me. ALong the same lines I don't like melon and I don't like prociutto, but put them together as an appetizer and I love it!:
You are such a complicated lady!pirate:

We have Nestle's Crunch Bars in the stores here!:thumbsup2 !:
:snooty: Well LA-DEE-DA! We have them too...BUT its the SMOOTH & CREAMY (NON crunch) that we havent seen in YEARS!

SO glad to hear that DISMAMA is going to go ahead with the procedure! That must be a huge relief.
Yes & NO! Mama never had a operation or procedure other than childbirth before (...and that was 19 years ago :rolleyes1 ) Mama can be a 'bit' of a Drama Queen when called for!
Setting up a appointments now while I am on vacation. Gonna get one of those 2nd opinions. Just dont have a good fealling about her Surgeon. He comes HIGHLY Reffered...but going with my gutz here...neither I nor my Mom like him.

Haven't even started my cards yet!:scared1: But I'll get them done and out in time for CHristmas. Of course I gotta figure out what I'm going to make this year! Hey there is plenty of time..
CARDS...are always one of the last things I do:confused3 Shopping 95% done, Now I gotta decorate, then cards, then wrap, then cook, then sleep!
Eithers either a Ham or Italian feast this year...It all depends what my neice is doing on Christmas eve. I will do the opposite.

DU~ Do you have a thing for Barbra? You seem to watch alot of her movies:rotfl2: (Did ya ever date her?;) ) I love Steisand movies too!..
:thumbsup2 Its a REQUIREMENT since she was my neighbor in Brooklyn.:lmao: Mom remembers her working as the cashier in the Chineses Restaurant. I LOVE her sigining & Whats Up Doc is one of my all time favorite movies.

I am now a chaise potato! GOt one last January when we got new living room furniture. Talk about comfy!:cloud9: I never much cared where I sat before, but now everyone in my family knows that the chaise is Mommy's! Kinda like Archie Bunker's chair!:rotfl:
!..
But hopefully not as ratty lookin. We all have "our' chairs 7 couch spots at home.

DU~ Seeing as you do such a good job with Birthday shopping, mark your calendar...my Birthday is January 12th. That only gives you a little over a month to shop, but seeing as you have all that time off, you should be ok!!..
<=== duly noted...hey!

Have I told you about I heard from 3 LONG LOST friends recently!!!!!

1) My friend Bigger Bob, we worked together for years, were very close. I havent seen him since his DD was born...she is a Senior in HS now. and he had 4 more...along with his wife!
We have emailed from time to time, and sent Christmas cards to each other...always stating that "THIS YEAR...We will meet up". I mean he lives all the way in New Rochelle NY!!!!:rolleyes1

On my Birthday I recieved a incredible email, out of the blue. He remembered my Bday. very nice!

2) My friend June, I have know since we were 12. Actually also lives in the Poconos. We have lost touch, mostly do to her DH.

I recieved a Christmas card from her today:eek:

3) One of my best friends ever, who moved to Hawaii. We were very close. Then he had some troubles....and well...lost contact.:sad2: It was his Birthday on Saturday, and me & Bob(his friend too) were talking about him. Sooooooo I decided to google his name!!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Evidently he has been very very successful:thumbsup2 ! So I emailed him with the updates in mine & Bobs life. I got a response back today!:yay: :yay: They last time we talked he was getting married (for the 3rd time:rotfl: )...anyhow he is now divorced, and has a 17 year old DD (i didnt think it was that long :headache: since we spoke). He raised his DD by himself in Hawaii, and she just recently moved to be with her Mother in San Francisco!

Cool huh?

You must be doing :dance3: this and, :woohoo: this too.

hi all...can't stay long...too much talk (again) about food AND NOW candy too....i'm going to gain weight on this thread!!!
;)
never heard of that Parlay's - but i did see my old favorite gum awhile back...Teaberry...anyone remember that....yummmmmm - didn't buy any...but it was at Anthropologie at santana row...so i'll be back there again soon....still trying to figure out how to pair the darn treo to the car...there's a step i'm missing - remember the salesman doing it...but i don't remember so guess they'll have to do it for me on sat. Verizon sent me a 'refurbished' phone - think i'll keep the one i have - it's only 5 mos. old...& i guess if it gets stuck again - hopefully they'll have the 755 out & i can just upgrade....

arrrrghhhh - well after i bought those 'so not great' seats for Bon Jovi & Daughtry.....they announce today a 2nd show will be put on the following week:mad:  so debating to find tix the 2nd show & sell the first set....flippin unbelievable.....

gotta get to bed...have a good one

Morning

I crashed early lastnight! Either I was still tired from staying up late the previous night or it was the meatloaf that did me in :confused3

It turned out very good. The kids thought it looked grossed in the pan :lmao: but once they had some they liked it. :thumbsup2

I'm going to be checking CVS and Walgreens for those candies. They usually have the stuff you can't find in department stores. Hopefully I'll get lucky. :wizard:

DU~ so cool that you heard from your long lost friends! There's a few friends that I keep in touch with from H.S. It wasn't easy for me because I went to H.S. in Japan (military brat) and most of my friends are all over the world.

Brenda, hope you can get your treo synced soon :wizard:

I usually don't go to concerts...:confused3 The one and only concert I did go to was a Madonna concert :lmao: It was at the Tokyo dome on her Girlie Show. I loved Madonna back in the day. shhhh don't tell anyone :teeth:

Well, I'm sorry to hear they came out with a second show! Whatever you decide to do I hope you have fun at the concert! :yay:

Good very early mornin Cal!

Just gonna blow my own horn & beat my own drum & pat myself on the back here.

Out of 312 servers built only 1 was wrong. Guess what....It wasnt MINE!!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

In a staff of 9. I did 99% of all the work with 100% accuracy. Someone else did 1% of the work with 100% mistakes....and 7 did NUTIN!!!!!!!!

Btw, out of them all I am the least experienced with Unix! Just sayin!popcorn::
Do I laugh or cry?:confused3
