nothing much going on here....YET.....going to try to get out of here early today...want to do some things around the house today & tomorrow before DS' football game....and have TONS of work to do for the Art/Wine auction for the high school trip to Italy.....

We are up and getting in our last few moments of vacation. Rose wants to hit the beach one last time and John wants to go get a tshirt from his favorite fishing spot and one for his Dad. We are almost all packed and probably outta here by 4.

I've finally gotten John comfortable with using the camera. He is funny with it, once he has it he just snaps randomly until he says he's done and hands it back. There are alotta pictures of me from the last few days, there are even some I like, I tend to hate pics of myself but he done good.

I know that you work in the strawberry industry in California.

This morning I was at the grocery store, looking at strawberries from California and wondering if they were from the company that you work for

Can you tell us what company that is, or if you want maybe you could just PM the name.

I'd be real interested in knowing if the ones I bought are from your business.

Can you tell us what company that is, or if you want maybe you could just PM the name.

I'd be real interested in knowing if the ones I bought are from your business.

Hi Robin...if you bought 'fresh' berries...they aren't from us...we only do frozen....so you would get our berries in the Del Monte "Chillers", Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, Breyer's ice cream...Odwalla drinks, Weight Watchers strawberry shortcake, Dannon and/or Yoplait yogurts or at McDonald's in the fruit parfaits....just to name a few....
whose strawberries did you purchase? they most likely are from this area...if they are Driscoll's...one of my very good friends is Bridget Driscoll....the heir to that company~

We definitely are...

Rose and me took a walk on the beach, I gathered some sand and seashells and we sat and read for awhile.

John is packing up the truck, I just got done my last shower, we have some food to empty out of the fridge and that last trip out for souvenirs yet.

I am watching a hurricane form out off the coast, as usual we dodged this one. We have had a few hurricanes to deal with around vacations but have always lucked out by getting in just before or just after them.

I have tons of pictures to share so it'll probably be a day or two before I start posting them.

We have an 8 hour drive at the most, I pray we have a traffic free uneventful ride home.

Only three weeks and I get to meet me a slew of threadkillers!

There was another "brand" there too but I forget what it was called.

Next time I will pay more attention and let you know if they are from your friend or even what company they are from.

There was another "brand" there too but I forget what it was called.

hummm - Green Giant is a huge frozen veggie company...bought out by General Mills some time ago...i did not realize they were into fresh at all. Monterey is 17 miles south of my office, and Watsonville is 2 miles north...Watsonville is where my son's school is located....and where we lived for 17 years before moving to Gilroy....Driscolls are a local HUGE HUGE fruit company...straws, raspbs, blues, blacks...you name it..they probably have it! Hope the berries are GOOD!!!! i just had some from our production, and they were REALLY GOOD!!!

I haven't tasted the strawberries but the raspberries are very yummy!

The name brand on the raspberries is WELL-PICT Berries.

I've not really noticed fresh Green Giant produce before either. Kind of surprised me to see the name on the package.

Yes it definitely is a small world!!! so where exactly are you located? I've been to British Columbia (victoria) & whistler and to Toronto...we used to supply Sobeys & another big grocery store up there...but can't think of their name......

Well Roger's pinning was cancelled today. He's running a fever. We are both sick actually. I missed class today and we both went to the doctor to get checked out. I was thinking maybe I had strep throat because one of my classmates had it last week. But I don't. I just have the funk!
