Well we copied quite a few home videos....Now I am feeling very old....
After looking at my kids and grandkids ...sooooo young...Not to mention how young I was......One good thing, Im smaller then I was back then...
What's everyone up to??????

Hiya Cally, Betsy & PD112! I hope ya'll are having a good night. Tom and I had a dinner date with friends Friday night, breakfast date this morning, lunch date with other friends today and another dinner date tonight with my sister & family. Whew! We've eaten out a LOT this weekend!

Hey Betsy - how fun to watch all those old movies.....we should do that sometime too....one more justification to get a DVD writer...
baseball game was a little boring last night....no 762th HR from Barry & once he was done for the night, we left too....but still didn't get home till 10ish - WAAAAAYYYYY past my bedtime, so actually slept in till 7 am -
have a great sunday all - we have the sports foundation BBQ this afternoon - so another fun day....

Awfullly quiet here this am! Did everybody else get a MAJOR storm last night!
Whooooooooooooooooooooooooow a BIGGY here! As I looked out to the deck I saw the Patio Table Umbrella lift up from its concrete base and fly over the rooftops (like Mary Poppins)!
I did retrieve it up the block! Nutin like walkin around with a metal umbrella with the ligtning all over the place!
BTW I lost the Powerball!
But so did everyone else! Its up to 314M this Wednesday!
Mackenzie is coming today!

How has everyones day been going?....
The girls have been here and now gone home...
They are all very excited about going back to school tomorrow...
Amber is the most excited I think, because this will be her first year in the Jr/Sr.highschool.....So she will be going to the same school as Julia and Brittany now...

Visit was fine. I BarBq A great piece of London Broil, made a salad, and boild Red Potatoes (all verrrrrrrrryyyyyyyy ez)
Makenzie wasnt not interested in any of her toys today...All she wanted was the Mickey Golden Ears postcard that PD112 sent some time ago!
She is this close || to walking!I am watching 60 minutes.......WHOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...Its hot tonight!

Hi DU - sorry we left you alone! Tonight's dinner was grilled pork loin (marinated in this asian dip I make for pot-stickers...it works well....then grilled til it's slightly pink in the middle - it stays tender that way). A salad with my "house" dressing and asparagus roasted with olive oil and fresh parmesan.
Hi DalPal & PD112! I hope ya'll had a great evening. I exercised tonight and then I'll mall walk with my girlfriend tomorrow. We're not walking hard enough and I'm having trouble getting her to go faster/harder, so I decided that will be my "social" walk and I'll do "exercise" at night! With luck some of this weight I've gained in the last 2 years will come off!

We got nailed with rain last week. Everyday. It just kept coming down. It was depressing. My neighborhood suffered little damage, but alot of people lost their cars and houses! Our trees out in front were almost at a right angle to the ground with the wind we had last Thurs! 70- 80 mph winds. Got very scary.
Well I bought something that I'd never consider buying in my life. Green Bay Packer Tickets. I may not be a Bears fan, but I still hate the Packers. 
My mother however is a Pack fan, Brett Farve more or less. She has never been to a game in Lambeau, and seeing that he may not be playing for much longer, I had to get them for her for her birthday on Fri. It was something that I wanted to do for a long time.Talk about a markup tho! I'd consider buying season tix's just to sell them
Went furniture shopping for the basement. Looking for sectionals. They make alot! What I'd like to get is one that gives you options to move them around in stead of beeing "married" to there way, and still be functional. It's so expensive! And actually Value City Furniture had what we wanted. So we may wait till the Labor Day weekend sales. Have to check the paper.
Last week of freedom for my little girl. She is so excited She has a walkthrough on Friday. Store her stuff in her locker, and start on Tues next week. I think I'm more worried than she is.

Hiya Rory! It sounds like ya'll had a mini hurricane going through! It is scary when the weather won't give up...isn't it? I'm glad you and yours are well. I like the idea of what you want in the basement. I've never bought a sectional for the exact reason you gave - you only get one placement in the room! Good luck with the sales. It was SO sweet of you to buy your mother the tickets - I'm sure she'll be thrilled!
Well, I was up an at 'em early this morning! Tom is off to work for his first full day since his surgery. Breakfast is made and the dishes are done. I've got to make the bed before I exercise - then I've got the floor mopping and bathrooms today, plus laundry! I'm also buying a new pair of exercise sneakers and making a chicken & broccoli casserole for dinner.
I've decided to change my dishes to restaurant white and am currently picking which ones I want. I found some reasonable ones at Fresh Market, but the Williams-Sonoma dishes are really beautiful...but pricey! I've also decided NOT to get rid of the (two) patterns I have, but pack them up and will probably drag them out in about 5 years or so....I bought them both in Sicily, so I really didn't want to give them up. Boring - I know - but had to verbalize!

Soooo NOT boring!
I am in the mkt. for new dishes....I just bought new cheepies, that match my Green/blue kitchen motif, but as I said they were CHEEP...and already starting to chip
....You could always mix and match with the white ones...Id love to get some chargers, but cant justify paying for something that just makes your plates look nicer on the table...The table setting does look really good with them tho...and I LOVE a beautifully set table
I am also interested in your Broccolli/chicken cassarole...
I am having my long lost relitives over on wed. for lunch(from out of town) This is the first time they will be coming.....I have NO idea what to serve.
...I dont even know what they like or dislike...They are in there 60s Id say...and in town for a Drs. appt.I was thinking a roast chicken, but we dont know how long the appt. will take, so the cassarole sounds more forgiving if they run late....
Is it easy?......What do you think...should I stick with the roasted chicken...
Im also thinking of a make ahead kind of thing I could do the night before...

It looks kind of gloomy out there today...but its early...so You just never know.....
BUT The lawn is mowed...and thats a big chore, I DONT have to worry about now....THANKS to my DH.....
We took the girls to a BIG flea mkt. yesterday...gave them all 5 bucks.....BOY did they do well....
Amber got new sandels, Julia got some very nice jewelry, Britt did too...some very nice rings....
and the twins...got ALOT of things LOL......beads, a Cinderella barbie, a cute purse, with a change purse to match....sunglasses....a Princess, calculator...
They all had a blast, bickering down the sellers......and The twins were SOoooooo very cute to watch....They thought it was the greatest thing to not have to pay what was asked for....It was like magic to them...LOL..
AND Im proud to say they were all very polite, about it all....
There was a BIG amozon parrot, there and the owner was just sooo nice and let the girls hold him...( Herbie)...They were sooo thrilled....Mike took pics on his phone...Ill have to get him to upload them so I can post them....(I hope they came out alright)....
Well I have a dentist appt tomorrow
... I will have to do most of my cleaning today...So Im off to do the dirty duties....
LOL...Id throw a GI party, but my kids all know NOT to come to those...LOL
Maybe Ill start ending my Sundays with one..

Happy Monday!!!! Sounds like everyone had a busy wkend!!! The Sports Foundation BBQ went really well....had a great dinner of tri-tip, chicken, lamb, ribs, & shrimp with all the 'fixins'...and a really yummy berry cobbler with "Sharks" shortbread - VERY CUTE!!!! and the auctions were great too...i got outbid on everything i was bidding on.... and didn't stick around long enough to find out how much we took in on the silent auction (the only place i could bid)...but our 9 live auction items brought in.....are you ready????
