Awww, see, I just have to threaten to sing and it brings you guys out :lmao:

I'm having a quiet weekend, or in theory I am.

Rick is going to an airplane competition and I'm not going this time.

So I'm home alone this weekend.

I think I've been recruited to drive my mom, my uncle (her brother) and my aunt to visit my grandmother's last surviving relative.

That's okay I don't mind so much.

Other than that :confused3

Laundry's done, house is in not too bad of shape (always something that could use doing though).

So maybe I'll just laze around and relax as much as I can :woohoo:

Good Morning!!! Happy Friday everyone! Should be a great weekend - I have a Creative Memories '12-hour crop' tomorrow - so that's always a good day - hopefully i get a lot done! It's a small crowd this month so i should be able to....the clients coming have been at this for years so they never need much assistance.

Supposed to go shopping Sunday with DD & a coworker...but i've kind of neglected my house with all these long hours at the office...so thinking i should stay home and CLEAN (Ann - I need you AND your schedule)!!!

My DH & his DS share the same birthday so we'll be hosting that celebration next weekend....it was originally going to be Aug 25th but have tix to see my Giants again - so had to move the BD celebration up a week...ugggghhhh - need to figure out what to make - and do all the shopping & cleaning before the 19th.

Betsy - I SO love living in Cali~ it was a great move. As much as i complain about the cool overcast days on the coast where my office is, it still beats the heck out of hot humid summers & freezing wet cold days in winter back in Iowa....i could never move back. But i've been out here now for 23 years.....so longer here than in iowa....but i do MISS my Mom & sisters & their families....

Have a terrific Friday everyone!!!!

PS - Mary - nice to see you again....

A 12 hour crop sounds great!!!!

I have a stamp camp to go to on Monday night for a couple of hours. I'm kinda dedicated to Stampin' up products but do by others once in a while.

I know y'all might not remember me, but HI! :goodvibes
I have been so busy and have neglected you - hope you don't mind me just poppin' in every now and then. :confused3
Ann, love & prayers for Tom! :wizard: When you going to WDW?
I will check in again soon and share news and updates and catch up, etc, etc...:rolleyes1
Take care.

Hi Mary! I'm planning on meeting DalPal & DH (Betsy & Mike) and PC & DH (Cally & Roger) at Beaches & Cream on the 29th of September....wanna go? With luck Cruisin & DH (Robin & Rick) will be there, too!

Tom is doing a little better today - I suspect the progress will be a little better every day and is resting comfortably right now.

Still battling this cold, but I'm also improving today. I have high hopes to get some laundry done!

Hey, hi there Janet.

Good to see you around again.

So, what have you been doing for the past year or so:confused3

i offer a 12-hour crop every month, except 3 mos a year and we have "WEEKEND" crops - those are REALLY fun!!! I think people really have the opportunity to get something completed in 12 hours. Used to do your typical 4-5 hour events, but by the time you get set up - do a few pages, it's almost time to wrap it up & go home....so these work well!!!

I love Stampin Up too - have a huge rubbermaid tote of sets & supplies. Use it mostly for tags, cards etc.

RD version

Along with the 4 kids that already reside in my house - we took on 2 dogs and my grandparents are now living with us as well. Dale (my grandfather) is on Oxygen 24/7 and Mary (my Nana) needs a walker to get around - so Sept. we will be celebrating 1 year of being a family of 8....+ 2 dogs...that is a lot of :laundy: but we are managing - they are not completly invalid (is that spelled right) but they do need constant care.....and it's been good for the kids

I am currently on a quest to get back out in the working world I have submitted my resume all over No. VA :surfweb: so I sit waiting:rolleyes1 .......patiently I may add -

And what's going on in the TKer's world.....

My mom is coming by soon to have dinner with me though:thumbsup2

Have a good Friday night everyone.

:goodvibes  To everyone who needs one and the ones who don't.

The week started terrible but ended great. Waited for the carpet guys on Mon. and they didn't show up. Got a call from the salesman and said they could be there the next day first thing, They didn't show up again! After many phone calls and not so nice words, we had to cancel and get it from someone else, but it will cost us less.:goodvibes :cool1: :thumbsup2 That's why no pics yet.
Then on Weds. we got a call from my daughters school (1st year kindergaden) and they said they would be doing a full day instead of half. She was so excited. Now she can take a lunch box, and as she says "take a nap".
Then Thurs. we got the High School Musical movie and watched it twice. The guy who confesses to bake makes me laugh.

Friday. :cool1: Amy called me at work and told me that after 5 years at the same place she finally got a raise at work!:cool1: :thumbsup2. She's not a full timer, she is regestry, so she doesn't get the benefits and what-not cause she gets them through my union.

And tommorow is our 1st block party!!:cool1: I am renting a moonwalk, setting up the grill out in front, and a canopy. Cause it's going to be 90! I ran a new outlet for the outside for all our stuff. Going to put a fan out there.

Hope UNC is having fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since the basement is almost done we are looking for furniture and a flat screen. Need to do some decifering between them all. But when the carpet is set, I'l have some before and after pic's. Later.

 Rory, sounds like you've had a busy week.

I'm sure you will all be glad to have the basement finished.

We have an annual block party that we have been having for about 15 years or so now. We usually have a lot of fun.:cool1:

So, where is Kim hanging out these days. She hardly ever stops in anymore to see us:guilty:

Enjoy your weekend, Rory. Take lots of pictures and share them us all of us:thumbsup2

Awww Robin, I was hoping you'd sing!

I wanna go to disney in september :(

Alls I'd need is airfare, rose already offered me a place to stay.

There is a trip reporter meet that same weekend. The same day even...

I'm dising via blackberry tonight.

Wonder how disunc's trip is? He must be busy, haven't heard from him since the plane landed.

Hugs and pixie dust to all!

Good Morning TKer's.....Happy Saturday & :woohoo: i'm not at the office....even got to "sleep in" today - didn't get up till 5:30!!!:cool1:

have everything ready for my "crop" so just enjoying one last :surfweb: & Dising before clients arrive!!! Put chicken in the marinade early this a.m. - DH will BBQ for all of us tonite....just having "mexican" for lunch - fairly light - mexican salad & taquitos - and of course chips/salsa.

This starts at 9 - but typically the first one arrives between 9:15 & 9:30....
hope you all enjoy your Saturday~TAFN

Teleportation would be a magical thing :scratchin

I could go scrap with brenda and meet tkers at food and wine fest :)

Lazy day, got laundry to do of course. The weather is gorgeous :sunny:

How is everybody today?

Teleportation would be a magical thing :scratchin

Yes it certainly would, wouldn't it.

Just think of all of the wonderful things we could enjoy if we could take the time and annoyance of travel out of the equation.

ZJO Threadkillers!

I hope ya'll are having a nice evening. CADZNY - the chicken sounds great! I'm making meat sauce for dinner on Monday (that scratch tomato sauce is SO good!). Robin, are you enjoying your quiet time? Rory - can't wait to see the pics of the basement. TW - I'd LOVE to be able to transport like StarTrek! I'd go all kinds of places! Welcome back TKB! DU & Kim? Where are you? Hiya DalPal - SO excited for September!

DH is improving, but it'll take a while. He finally got to shower and dressed (we were going out to breakfast) and the shower took it all out of him, so he had b'fast at home in his chair. However, each day he gets better and better. His fever is under control (had a fever yesterday and last night - enough that the doc and I were on the phone several times up until 11pm :scared1: )

I'm starting to improve as well. It's a good thing I didn't cantor mass this weekend (they asked) as I have NO voice! Cough is getting somewhat better!

Well, my glasses are ready, so I think I'll pick them up on Monday!

Chat with ya'll later!

 Hi y'all! I'm back. Hope everyone is having a great weekend! :thumbsup2
I have done a lot of back-to-school shopping this week and plan to take my place in the poorhouse soon. :lmao:
Seriously tho, this year promises to be very busy and expensive since DD is a senior. Also, I am taking my final classes this semester and will graduate (finally) w/ my BA in Business Admin. I am doubling up on my class load in order to graduate this semester, since the Spring will be busy w/DD's graduation. :woohoo:
I just found out that I probably will not make the Disney meet :guilty: since DD has a scheduled college visit that day (Sept 29). She is considering going to Flagler College in St Augustine and Sept 29 is senior day where they visit the campus. I'll keep you posted if there are any changes. Colleen, I guess you and I will have a pity party while everyone else goes to WDW next month :sad1:
Well, I will try to check in again real soon. Y'all take care! Goodnight

Colleen - would LOVE for you to magically teleport yours.elf to Cali to crop with us..... it was a good day!! DD ended up coming for most of the day....that's always good...first time she saw DBro without his braces...she even let him 'move' her car...they do love each other - it's fun to watch them - that 10 yr age diff works for them....

Ann the chicken was REALLY good - i need to get some more of that marinade - it was an italian garlic...

Having DH's (& his sister's) BD celebration here next Sunday - they were both born the 20th - 3 yrs apart....so need to think of something 'good' for that night.....uggghh - can you all tell how much i really hate to cook.

I need to go school shopping today or this week.....i did get all of his books from Amazon - so that was a little over 200....the best think is that i sold his books from last year and made 300 - so i'm 100 ahead i guess....but the 2nd mos tuition is due next week.....ugghhhh - it just never ends....i hope college is 'cheaper'....:rotfl:

time for another load of :laundy:
