We had two skateboarding pros come to the park last night, it was busy but awesome! I didn't get home til 10pm~Hubby wasn't too happy with me coming home so late but today I actually get to come home early I have to go preview the spring lines with all the shoe companies I deal with and should actually be done by 5...

Its my Thursday.....So Im off to town today, for my normal lunch day....although it will be my DSISs birthday tomorrow...so we will probably have a cake for her at lunch....

Oh and Im excited to get my ring back....I had to drop it off to get reset...and have had to go without it , after wearing it for 10 years(at least)...So I have been feeling naked...Cant wait to get it back on my finger!

I *hated* the snow when i was forced to live with it AND in it....now that i'm here - when i need a 'snow fix' - just drive on up to Tahoe - do a day or 2 of skiing and just drive right back....i now control how much snow i have to deal with - it no longer controls me~

Colleen - HOW FUN!!!! show us the 'new line' when you can!!!! i love being in the strawberry business but it may not be quite as 'fun' and exciting!!

Morning everyone.

We are in the "chunks of metal" business

That's excitiing for sure.

But you'd be surprised what things of beauty can come out of an ugly chunk of metal

I've got no definite plans again for today but something is sure to take up my time.

On a sadder note, I found out that my cousin has a tumour in his bowels and that it is definitely cancer. He is only 39. I hope they can take care of it all and that he gets well again. I don't know what his chances are.

There's just way to much cancer floating around lately. Such a terrible, terrible disease.

I like snow so much that the first time we get an inch I make my kids come outside and play with me, even if it's the middle of the night. I wake them up and we play....whether they want to or not! This year we only had snow twice, on Valentine's day and on St. Patty's day, but at least we got over a foot each time. 2006 was the saddest year. We got lots of snow in Dec 2005 and then nothing unitl Feb. 2007. NO snow at all in 2006!!!! Very very unusual!

Robin - P&PD to your cousin. I hope they caught it early.

To the baseball fans - I don't follow the game, but I appreciate your love of it. Way cool for Barry Bonds. I remember watching Hank Aaron breaking the record for homeruns..watching on TV. I'm glad everyone is well from the storm and hope ya'll are having a good day.

Robin - Susan is doing well - she's still in an area with no internet capabilities but having a great time. She'll be down here from Oct-Dec31 and then off to travel some more.

DalPal - if you would PM me with the information on the meet in WDW...I plan on being there - can't wait! I hope you're going, Robin!

Well, Tom's surgery was successful. The hernia was much larger than expected and his recovery will be a bit longer as well. I finally got him home a little after midnight and he's been battling pain & nausea ever since (as to be expected). This cold is giving me fits and I can't wait to get rid of it. The coughing (ugh) and my hands are starting to chap from washing them so much (trying not to infect tom).

Well, ya'll take care and I'll try to keep up this week.

Ann - so good to hear Tom is doing well!

A little too late for this...but just a little info for anyone having surgery in the future...last time i went under...my doc gave me the motion sickness patch (the same exact thing one might get for a cruise) to put on the night before....they worked GREAT...i get EXTREMELY nauseas with any kind of anesthesia so that was a LIFE saver!!!

I like your snow option too!.....We always talk of moving to Fla., although I DO think I would miss the snow if I didnt have it ...but in the tail end of the winter when it just wont go away

Ok I'm here... I'm posting....don't sing!!!! Just kiddin you can sing if it makes you happy. You cannot be a worse singer than DH!

Rainy day here, and cool. HIgh of 63! A couple of days ago it was almost 100 and humid! Yesterday was an absolutely picture perfect day. Low 80s and no humidity. Beautiful.

WE're going to see the Mets tonight. The rain is supposed to be over before the game so we should be ok!

Good Morning!!! Happy Friday everyone! Should be a great weekend - I have a Creative Memories '12-hour crop' tomorrow - so that's always a good day - hopefully i get a lot done! It's a small crowd this month so i should be able to....the clients coming have been at this for years so they never need much assistance.

Supposed to go shopping Sunday with DD & a coworker...but i've kind of neglected my house with all these long hours at the office...so thinking i should stay home and CLEAN (Ann - I need you AND your schedule)!!!

My DH & his DS share the same birthday so we'll be hosting that celebration next weekend....it was originally going to be Aug 25th but have tix to see my Giants again - so had to move the BD celebration up a week...ugggghhhh - need to figure out what to make - and do all the shopping & cleaning before the 19th.

Betsy - I SO love living in Cali~ it was a great move. As much as i complain about the cool overcast days on the coast where my office is, it still beats the heck out of hot humid summers & freezing wet cold days in winter back in Iowa....i could never move back. But i've been out here now for 23 years.....so longer here than in iowa....but i do MISS my Mom & sisters & their families....
