Well, only 6 days since I last posted, this time. ;) I'm getting better, but still busy! :rolleyes1

Miss you ALL!!!!!!!!! :grouphug:
Robin - Tom has a hernia. It's not as bad as some, but not as light as others. At this point, he can't even open jars and is MORE than ready to have the surgery. He's looking at 10 days at home and 6-8 weeks of NO lifting at all.
{{HUGS}} Ann & Tom! Marty had double hernia surgery back in April. The WORST the surgeon had ever done in his 27 years of practice! (4 plugs [screens] on EACH side!) Marty was home for 9 weeks. During those 9 weeks, his lifting went from NONE, to a gallon of milk, to 25 lbs. It was a huge operation for him. I wish Tom the easiest of surgeries and the fastest of recoveries! :goodvibes

Liz had a hernia repaired when she was 11 months old. She was up and running the next day. Hardly even slowed her down at all.
And, Thanks to Robin's experience with Liz's hernia, it alerted me ASAP, same night, when Kelly's hernia 'popped out'. I will NEVER forget your help that night, Robin! You hit the nail on the head!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 Kelly had surgery on a Thursday and went to school on Monday!!!!! Amazing! (Girl's hernias ARE different tho...fyi)

Like I said - Miss you all!!!!!!

I actually need to visit the Disability board. A family friend is looking for a WDW resort that has 'roll-in' showers, as in wheelchair bound, needing to roll-in, I guess. I have no clue, and she's gotten ZERO help from resort castmembers! They are going in the spring with their kids and grandkids, like MY parents did! Cool!! I want to help them! :goodvibes

AND, BTW..........CUBS ARE IN FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: :thumbsup2 :cool1: :cheer2: We're going to Sunday night's game!!!! American Girl Doll outfit giveaway! Just got our Build A Bear in the mail today, from the 7/19 game we went to. Crazy story there!

:grouphug: for All!!!!!!

Forget to ask for P&PD for my dearest and closest cousin, Cathy. She was hospitalized Tuesday for an expected 3-5 days, to receive IV steroids for an optic nerve inflammation. :3dglasses She has also been living with an "MS scare" for almost 4 years now. She's 38 and has 3 kids, aged 6-10. This is a scary time for her and all of us right now. Please wish her well, keep her in your thoughts, say a prayer, spread some pixie dust, etc. I would greatly appreciate it! :goodvibes Thanks!

Good nite!!

Kim....OMG - wishing the very very best to Cathy:wizard: pixiedust: and lots of prayers too....i have two step sisters with MS...they both are doing fairly well...one better than the other - but she was only recently diagnosed...the other one has had it for 10 yrs or so....

Congrats on your CUBS!!! I saw that on ESPN yesterday a.m. - and thought of you then~

GOOD MORNIN TK'ERS!

Yeah WORK is done! (for now)!

And I got a story for ya...falls under "its a small world"...I will try to make it short.

I had gotten my job because i 'knew" the big boss. We have worked at the same companies over the years, only not at the same time...and know many of the same people. Not only that but he married my Moms BF daughter, whom I grew up with. My Mom & his MIL were BF for over 40 years, these are the people we spent Christmas eves with , etc during my childhood...etc....(the key here is we were very close). I remaind very good friends with his SIL.

Now I meet him last night @ work (he is usually out of there by 5;00 sharp) and he is telling me that his family is going to WDW next week too. His DD is dancing in Tommorrowland on Saturday 8/11....yadda yadda yadda! We make arraingments and I will meet them there...yadda yadda. I havent seen his wife in a few years (her Moms funeral:guilty: ).

So as we were talking he said..."I cant wait for you to meet my wife":scared1: :scared1: :scared1: ..."did you ever meet her?"
My reply was "I Knew her since the day she was born!!!!":lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
I even got her the job @ one company that I worked, and then I left & he started too work there & they met! (so its sorta like I played a hand in his life:laughing: ) Not to mention I and my family were at his wedding!

Did I tell you that he is a very very nice guy...but DITSY as allllllll heck!!!!:3dglasses The Distsiest man I ever met. And he is runnin the joint where I work!

Gonna finish Packing after some laundry! YUK
Do a massive Food Shopping for the gang, while I am gone. Even though Mom says they dont need nutin!
Run over to my friends to use their printer to print LIMEGREEN MICKEY HEAD window decals (I have a laser printer...cant print them here) For the Windows at the POP.
Do a quick clean up here......And HOPEFULLY get my car back this afternoon!

:woohoo: &:crazy2:

:grouphug: Its a horrible disease! My cousin was diagnosed when she was in her early 20's. She is a nurse....and just went blind at work one night.:sad2: It comes outta of the blue. Thankfully the blindness was temporary. She has good days & Bad. Very Sad.

And this girl is the FUNNIEST person you could ever meet.:rotfl2: The movie the Wizard of Oz always terrified her...not because of the Witch...but the Muchkins just freak her out....even to this day!:happytv:

That's one of the reasons that I live in a small city now...professional firefighters, led by NSalz's DH of course! I give the volunteers lots of credit, but without 24 hours of manned coverage at the firehouses, the goal has to be to "save the surrounding structures"!

Not even that!

Once the building right behind the fire house a business went on fire. The whole building burnt to the ground. Then 10 hours later the rest of the block went up in flames!!!!!

They are all 18 -19 years old!!!!!

In fact certain sections (up in the mountains) dont even have ANY fire department or Police coverage!

Ok this link brings you to a story about a fire even closer to the volunteer firehouse. It was a volunteer firehouse in our area!
