I'm only on chapter 15. Didn't get to start it until Saturday night, and I hear you on the interruptions, DU! I think having your parents and James with you is the equivalent of my having my 3 DDs!

I wanna put the quiet spell on them!:thumbsup2 Or at least put the invisible charm around me!:lmao:

Good morning PD and DU and all other fellow TKers......I am hoping to get HP today and start tonight.

I usually get interupted...no wait, I ALWAYS get interupted :headache: when I am on the last two or three pages of a book. My family usually gets a growl and me holding up the book to show them I am at the end. They slink away slowly:tiptoe: :ssst:

OMG - my DH does the SAME thing....just HAS to tell me about this sport or that sport.....AND HE CAN SEEEEEEE:3dglasses i am reading my favorite 'series'!!! uggghhhh - he gets the regulatory 'uh=huh or nod' just so he knows i'm listening:rolleyes1

DU - ENJOY the quiet time at the dealership!!!! I think i'm right about where you are....I really HOPE to finish tonite....but i also have about 6 loads of :laundy: to do - PS - I LOVE your parents!! TV guide & microwave!!!! You always start my day with a smile!!!

Hi guys.

Just wanted to let you know I'm home.

My internet is working like crap, loading things very slowly or not loading them at all.

Will check back in later.

:lmao: That's so cute~

Sometimes it takes more than a hint to get a point across eh? <----noted

My mom has me hooked on audio books...she'll be buying the newest HP on audio and then I'll commandeer it from her so I can listen too. That's how I "read" the last one...that's the book we listened to all the way to FL before I cruised with her in Dec '05.

Brittany likes to read the books, I checked amazon for the set and they are up to almost $125...IMHO that's still a good deal~

Wow!

It's a REALLY good thing you took the car in when you did! Cracked head gaskets are absolutely the worst news you could get from a mechanic.

I am at the girl's shop til 4 today...

It's not too bad cause it's so quiet here I can usually get some work done. I already wrote up all the hours for payroll and have some men's holiday orders to write up. On a personal note, I have to get my son signed up for the fall semester at school and am avidly reading my passporter guide to cruising. We pay off the NC house tomorrow and after all this it'll be time to start buying tickets to what we want to do in FL this december~

OH DU~ thanks for the offer....but trust me - you WOULD MISS them!!!!

What was weird is that it was driving just fine!:confused3

Hi guys.

My internet is still being really weird.

So I'll be lucky to get a post in here.

I have a question for a friend.

She wants to know if anybody knows the name of any Disney or cartoon type toad.:confused3

Apparently her mother names all of her garden decorations and she has a toad that needs a name;)

If you think of something, could you please let me know.

Thanks.

Only disney related thing I can come up with is Brer Frog. DIsney is coming out with a movie "The Princess and the Frog" in 2009, but I can't find a name for the character.

All i can think of is MR. Toad - of Mr Toad's wild ride & the movie Icabod & Mr. Toad....

My internet seems to be working a bit better now:confused3

Hopefully it will stay that way.

So my report on the weekend.

We had a long drive to get where we were going. We had an hour side trip to make a delivery for work and the traffic in Toronto was just awful mid afternoon. It was hurry up and slow down all the way thru:rotfl:

We got to our destination and met our friends whose camper we were staying in .

The guys took off shortly afterwards for a special tour that was arranged for them. They got to tour some huge military cargo plane and also play on a full sized flight simulator. They had a blast.

You remember that wasp sting I got on Thursday afternoon. It really started to swell badly on Friday. It also was very red and hot. Not a lot of fun. It stayed that way thru till Sunday when it was a bit improved. I still have a huge red area on my ankle.

Saturday the airplane competition starts and on Rick's first flight he decides to try and trim some trees with his airplane wing :scared1: Not a smart idea:sad2:

He managed to land the plane intact which was great. His plane is made of fiberglass which saved it to a certain extent. A balsawood plane would have been reduced to matchstick size by an impact like that. The body of the plane is damaged though and will need repair before he can fly it again.

He did have many offers of other planes to finish flying the rounds on Saturday but opted to sit them out. Guess he was too nervous to wreck someone else's plane.

Sunday morning he decided to use the plane of the guy we were staying with. He flew the Sunday rounds but it was too late to even place in the competition so he came in last in his category. He didn't mind, just wanted to fly.

The drive home went much easier. The traffic thru Toronto was better than it was on Friday and we didn't have to slow up too often.

Everything considered it was a good weekend.

I spent most of it just sitting in a chair relaxing (giving my ankle a rest ;) )
