Brought my car in for the leak! Wound up I have a cracked head casket!!!! LUCKILY I am 3, 500 miles away from the end of my Warranty! ITS ALL COVERED! INCLUDING a loaner car!

Cracked head caskets cost a fortune to fix (3-5k)!!!!! I know cause EVERYCAR i ever owned had a cracked headcasket!

Whew!

Do you think it is a sign of some kind DU...Cracked Head Gasket...seems like someone is sending you a sign of some kind...like maybe your a little cracked on top ...Not that you are, just sayin' ..sounds like a sign of some kind...

My mom has me hooked on audio books...she'll be buying the newest HP on audio and then I'll commandeer it from her so I can listen too. That's how I "read" the last one...that's the book we listened to all the way to FL before I cruised with her in Dec '05.

Brittany likes to read the books, I checked amazon for the set and they are up to almost $125...IMHO that's still a good deal~

I always wanted to try an audio book to put in my car when I am riding around town....I still think my children will somehow interrupt me.

Wasn't there is frog in an old cartoon that drove around in a car and with a big cigar...oh it's driving me crazy. Maybe, it's my imagination or I just have a cracked head gasket.

My internet seems to be working a bit better now

Hopefully it will stay that way.

So my report on the weekend.

We had a long drive to get where we were going. We had an hour side trip to make a delivery for work and the traffic in Toronto was just awful mid afternoon. It was hurry up and slow down all the way thru

We got to our destination and met our friends whose camper we were staying in .

The guys took off shortly afterwards for a special tour that was arranged for them. They got to tour some huge military cargo plane and also play on a full sized flight simulator. They had a blast.

You remember that wasp sting I got on Thursday afternoon. It really started to swell badly on Friday. It also was very red and hot. Not a lot of fun. It stayed that way thru till Sunday when it was a bit improved. I still have a huge red area on my ankle.

Saturday the airplane competition starts and on Rick's first flight he decides to try and trim some trees with his airplane wing Not a smart idea

He managed to land the plane intact which was great. His plane is made of fiberglass which saved it to a certain extent. A balsawood plane would have been reduced to matchstick size by an impact like that. The body of the plane is damaged though and will need repair before he can fly it again.

He did have many offers of other planes to finish flying the rounds on Saturday but opted to sit them out. Guess he was too nervous to wreck someone else's plane.

Sunday morning he decided to use the plane of the guy we were staying with. He flew the Sunday rounds but it was too late to even place in the competition so he came in last in his category. He didn't mind, just wanted to fly.

GREAT Crashing plane (regardless of the size) stories 12 days before I get on the 'cylinder of death'!

Lotta Toad tawk yesterday! Cant come up with anything more that was already offered! Me quess is that Disney is more into meeses, dogs and cats...rather than toads!

One with think with all them princesses fluttering about, there would be at least one more toad to turn into a handsome prince!

Anyyyyyyyyyyyyyhoooooooooooo! Lots to do today (as usual) , pay stupid, stupid bills (i just paid them last month ) and driving James home for a few days (till sunday). This will be 'hell' work week for me....6o hours verrrrrrrrry busy! YUK!

Good Morning everyone!

Well it looks like it may clear up today....but the forcast has rain until after this weekend..
Im suppose to take Amber horseback riding on Sat. (her birthday is on Fri, she will be 12)..
We may have to bump it to next weekend....

I cant think of one toad, from Disney...Sorry..I think I remember that toad with the cigar though..I think he had a real deep vioce..right?....Kind of like James Cagney?....Im thinking it may have been from Looney tunes

Im glad you got you book finished befor you had a major work week....I could just see you not getting any work done as you would be sneeking peeks in the book to see whats going to happen...
It would be really bad to get fired because of a HP book

No plans today....If it clears up I may do more weeding( something I will NEVER ever finish), But I am not going anywhere ..so Ill probably be popping in and out to see who's on and whats what....

I'm not even close to finishing the book. My plan was to read a lot last night, but DD(13) wasn't feeling well (just a bad cold..she's ok) and wanted to lie down and snuggle with me. Snuggle moments with a 13 year old are few and far between, so altho I was sad she wasn't feeling well, I was more than happy to give up Harry for a couple hours of snuggling. Got to snuggle with DD(11) too because she wanted a turn!

OH DU...i AM SOOOOO jealous - i am STILL on chapter 27...didn't get nearly as much reading in last night as i had hoped.....have a feeling that it's going to be a long week & little time to read...

We did let Ryan drive himself over the mountain to his school for football AND lo & behold - he even made it back home....i KNOW i've been thru this with Jennifer already - but that was 10 years ago....i guess that fear never leaves you.....

We had rain last night.....ARRRGGHHH on my new car! NOW i know i need to get that garage cleaned out this weekend - definitely HIGH on my priority list!!!

Works been so busy I am alllmost ok with hanging at the girl's store, I get alot of my own work done here cause it's so quiet The skatepark is always jumping and the store we are closing is in the middle of a clearance sale so you know that store is busy.

Hubby took notice of how un-stressed I was when I came home last night. We both agree that the three day weekend we took together was good medicine~

"The Frog" from Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse cartoon. And he was like EDWARD G ROBINSON not Cagney (however I knew precisely what you meant!)

BTW the creator of Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse is Bob Kane who also created Batman. He created the cartoon for TV to 'cash in" and he used many of the Batman stories...just changed The BATPHONE to the CATPHONE..etc!
