The three sisters & families pitched in and we're sending the folks to see David Copperfield (dad LOVES magic) and dinner at Mortons of Chicago. They are of the age where they don't need or want anything, so usually entertainment and/or food works.

I hope your parents live in Chicago?????? :lmao:

Did I tell ya all my SCATHINGLY BRILLIANT IDEA (imho) for my parents present????

If I did I will repeat. I thought this was GRRRRRRRREAT!

I bought one of those Digital frames (8 inch one for 50.00 on Black Friday in WalMart) I (mostly james) am gonna scan ALL their special pictures of EVERYBODY, and put them on the digi card for the frame.

I have pics as far back as My grandfather when he was a baby, with all his brother & sisters & parents (who BTW his Mom murdered his father :scared1: ), wedding pics, baby pics, friends, family up to Mackies Bday! I salvaged all the family pics, and kept them in great shape!:thumbsup2

I am very proud of myself for thinkin of this (pat, pat)

;)
I have too many of those darn happy meal toys :lmao: At first they wouldn't let me throw them away... but I got sneaky on them and when they weren't looking in the trash they went!!!:3dglasses

Dante surprised me today.... he said he didn't want a Happy Meal.. he wanted an adult meal

I almost told him there was NO WAY I'd get him a regular meal:snooty: ...but being the push over that I am..... I got him what he wanted :upsidedow

:sad1: My boy is growing up ...
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: James STILL has a chest of them!

Mom Update.

Saw specialist today. She can have a procedure where they go through the groinn with a balloon, and open the arteries in her legs. It is a local anthestic, and requires no hospital stay. It is done right in his office. BUT because of her Emphesema, she would have to have a battery of test first.
Dr says she would have a 50/50 chance of being able to have the procedure.

OR, she can just live with it and wear warm socks.

She chose to live with it. I am like :confused3 !

Sunday one of my Best friends from birth is coming up with her Mom who is my Moms BF for like 50 years now. My friend is a RN, who could offer more advice than I can.

So we will see.

Just ordered her a pair of the Croc Momouths! They are the Crocs with the Lambwool lining!

BRIGHT RED ones along with Christmas Jibbitz!

From your fingers to Gods ears! Ya think He/She lurks here?

YUP at work.....I still have 2 more weeks to go. Off from the late teens to 2nd week in January!

DU~ hugs for your mom and fam

I'm having such a time thinking of things I can get the in-laws. I wish I could do something like that

BUT :headache:

Roger took the external hard drive and guess what?!?!?!?!?!??!

All of our pics are on it!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh What was I thinking letting him take it!?!?!!?!

Oh well... next idea..

It really is a great idea...

Have fun!! We don't have anything like that around here. I think it'd be pretty cool to cut down your own tree...

Thats a HUGE thing to do where I live! As kids we always had artificial, me Mom has a HUGE fear of fire. So I always had one too, also my ornaments are to heavy for real trees.

When I moved to the poconos, my friend shamed me into cutting down a real tree. So i went & cut down a BEEEEEEEEEEEEEautiful Blue Spruce. I loaded on top of my car, got it home....BUT no one told me that the sap from a Blue Spruce is very DANGEROUS. So when I pulled the tree of the car & dragged it to the hosue (with no gloves) the sap got all over my hands....and I got 2nd degree burns!!!:scared1:

So I went back to the safety & conformity of artifical trees!

People from the city drive up here to cut trees down at the farm we go to and, I kid you not, they actually tailgate! WHole extended families come up! They bring out their grills and make breakfast, then cut down their tree and then cook lunch. They play Christmas music the whole time. I guess it probably is a really fun day, but it makes us country people laugh.

Not that I need to eat any more cookies, but you know I'm always there for you Cally. No matter what it is that you need help with. :upsidedow

That is a flippin brilliant idea!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I bought my brother in law a little keychain digital picture frame for Christmas. I got one for myself too. It is kinda neat. Holds up to 60 pictures, the quality is pretty good too.

It's so hard to know what to get sometimes. I hated to get him yet another sweater and he just had his first two grandchildren this year. I thought it was a perfect thing for a grandpa to have. :3dglasses

I just did up all of my Christmas cards. I signed up for some card exchanges here on the DISboards so I did all of them at the same time.

Now to go out and get the stamps to mail them all:eek:

That is a flippin brilliant idea!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 !
Thanks I thought so too!:snooty: I dont get many of them ...BUT when I do :woohoo:

As for your Great Grandparents' marital difficulties...sometimes husbands just don't know when to give it a rest!
The story goes that EVERYONE knew she did him in...but since she was OLD (in her 60's) and he was a such a #$%^&* nobody did anything!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
