Happy Friday Tker's!!!! the cowboys won & St Francis won!!! DS even got to play last night! (he's 2nd string) so usually only plays when the score is high...but they are 3-0 with another game tonite....

Got my 1st Xmas Card yesterday...thanks Ann!!! Loved the photos....so great to put faces to names....finished my calendars last night...so just need to review it all today & check a couple of dates then get them ordered...my other 2 sisters decided they want one too....so guess i'm getting 6 now....

Hello TKers,

Got an early start to a busy morning....But...Im done for the day,,,,

AND....
DMs all ready to go to my DSis's for the weekend...

Mike and I have a date tonight....

We are going to open a bottle of wine, sit by the nice cozy fire, and in the glow of the Christmas tree lights........

THEN.......

We are going to wrap presents!( there is a mountain of them!) ,...Romantic Huh?.... ..
Maybe watch an old Christmas movie....Like "The gathering", or "White Christmas"....while we wrap....
Hey, We will just be happy to be alone for a while...

Then Sunday afternoon, we're having all the kids and Gkids over for Christmas carols, and Hot cocoa....
I'll order pizza, and be cooking up a big batch of B. Hotwings, ...It should be alot of fun!

Anybody else have Any weekend plans?....

Hiya Threadkillers!

I hope ya'll are doing well. SWHNN's DH is on his way over to hide a drum set for one of her son's Christmas presents.

Tinknutt, her Aunt by Marriage and I went shopping for our parents gift and did a little shopping on the side. The three sisters & families pitched in and we're sending the folks to see David Copperfield (dad LOVES magic) and dinner at Mortons of Chicago. They are of the age where they don't need or want anything, so usually entertainment and/or food works.

I forgot that DH and I are attending a retirement party tomorrow evening, so I believe we'll get our tree tonight and I'll decorate this weekend...I've started with the mantle today.

Cally - I'm glad everyone is safe, those near-misses can be scary!

Hey everyone

Just got home from Christmas tree shopping. I told myself only a small tree this year but I STILL ended up getting a tall tree!!!

Ahh, but the kids picked it out and really wanted it so I couldn't say no.

They are enjoying their happy meals right now and I need to do some re-arranging of furniture seeing how the spot I picked for the "small" tree won't work anymore.

AND....

THEN.......

We are going to wrap presents!( there is a mountain of them!) ,...Romantic Huh?.... ..
Maybe watch an old Christmas movie....Like "The gathering", or "White Christmas"....while we wrap....
Hey, We will just be happy to be alone for a while...

Then Sunday afternoon, we're having all the kids and Gkids over for Christmas carols, and Hot cocoa....
I'll order pizza, and be cooking up a big batch of B. Hotwings, ...It should be alot of fun!

Anybody else have Any weekend plans?....

I always watch White Christmas while I wrap.

I'm glad you got a tall tree. I know Christmas won't seem right without Roger, but ya gotta make it as good as possible for those wonderful adorable boys of yours!

I can;t believe you wrote that. When I answered that poll my familoy told me I had to go change my favorite song to David and Bing singing Little Drummer Boy and then I just forgot to do it. I remember watching that Bing Crosby Christmas Special when I was a teenager. My Monm wanted to know who David Bowie was. I thought the two of them singing together would be sooo bad! And then WOW!I was totally stunned and ever since that special it has been my absolute favorite Christmas song. I cry when I hear it. It is just soooo beautiful! Two of my all time favorite performers. I missed mt 10 year HS reunion (many years ago) because I had tickets to a David Bowie concert the same night.

Thank goodness for Disney respite! You are a much better person than I! I wouldn't even want my MIL in the house for a night let alone a few months!!!! And as much as she drives me crazy, she's nothing compared to your MIL and all that she has done. Good news is that you have a guaranteed spot in Heaven so you can really misbehave here on Earth now!

Colleen!! All I can say is WOW! Those pics are amazing! The colors are so vibrant and you know how to take them just right! I like the different parts of the trees and the clouds with the sun... just so pretty!

The children and the pups are adorable too

I have too many of those darn happy meal toys At first they wouldn't let me throw them away... but I got sneaky on them and when they weren't looking in the trash they went!!!

Dante surprised me today.... he said he didn't want a Happy Meal.. he wanted an adult meal

I almost told him there was NO WAY I'd get him a regular meal ...but being the push over that I am..... I got him what he wanted

My boy is growing up

I still have about a couple more years of Happy Meals with DeV

And after looking at the tree all decorated....I'm glad I didn't go with the small tree I'd take pics but my camera decided to die on me...so it's charging right now...

Mom Update.

Saw specialist today. She can have a procedure where they go through the groinn with a balloon, and open the arteries in her legs. It is a local anthestic, and requires no hospital stay. It is done right in his office. BUT because of her Emphesema, she would have to have a battery of test first.
Dr says she would have a 50/50 chance of being able to have the procedure.

OR, she can just live with it and wear warm socks.

She chose to live with it. I am like !

Sunday one of my Best friends from birth is coming up with her Mom who is my Moms BF for like 50 years now. My friend is a RN, who could offer more advice than I can.

So we will see.

Just ordered her a pair of the Croc Momouths! They are the Crocs with the Lambwool lining!

BRIGHT RED ones along with Christmas Jibbitz!

Maybe work tommorrow, maybe not! We have a Government Org here...and they spend the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ BIG TIME. So they book a block of time & resources for a week (to the tune of MILLIONS ) when they really only need a day.

Anyhooooooooo they are suppose to be here till Tuesday am. If so I have to cover Sat night. BUT they are freakin out about a snowstorm coming and all want to be out of here by tommorrow am. As far as I can see they are done...just havent made it official!
