Brenda...it is def time to have one!

Good Luck to your son tomorrow!

Yes Cally, it's lotsa fun...

Fred does a great job of putting the meet together, he even does surveys afterwards to find out what people liked and what they don't so he can fix it for the next year.

The people there totally make the meet what it is~

We paid $48 pp. Not a bad deal actually.

This year's hall is a seperate building from the hotel on Radisson's property.

Most of us are staying at the Radisson, some found hotels nearby, Rose and Me and Aisling and Betsy are staying at the Radisson.

That's a great deal. It's affordable. Are kids the same price? Maybe one year the fam and I will get to go. This years family picnic in PA was the 2nd week of July. Of course we couldn't make it because of school.

It's been around the same time each year...

I would LOVE for you guys to come up for the next one!

I will most likely be helping again for the next one and will keep all the TKers informed of when this is going to happen. That's how Betsy, Aisling and DU got in this time...Robin and Kiminy and anyone else who can come up really should...I see the perfect opportunity for a threadkiller meet :scratchin.

and YES! Kids are cheaper! I'd have to chekc if you want to know how much tho since I'm not bringing any.

I spoke to my niece today, she's in Orlando with my Mom. She told me she wants me to bring her next year. She went to the first one and had a fabulous time. My daughter has been to one and my Mom has been to two of the meets.

Colleen, you are right about the threadkiller meet.

The big DISmeet just might be a good time for that.

Maybe we will have to see what we can arrange for next year. :thumbsup2

Nah, you don't have to find out the price for kids. I was just curious. The price will probably change by next year anyways, right? I guess it would depend on where it's held etc.

It does sound like a good idea but the family picnic is usually held around the 4th of July. That would be a really long stay for us in Pa. We stop and visit my cousin who moved to PA so we usually spend a few days with her as well. But you never know....

It's worth a try~

The meet, most likely, will be held the same place next year. Fred likes consistency...we only moved the venue because the meet got so big!

Evening Robin :wave2:

Well I think I'm going to go lay down now... :cloud9: I'm getting very sleepy

It is worth a try ;)

Morning ALL!!!! Happy Friday the 13th!!!

Only working till noon today (so Ryan can get his DL) so catch you all later...MUCH FUN to all of you heading out (or gone) to the Magic meet!!!!!:grouphug: to everyone there!

Good Morning TK'ers:goodvibes

DisUnc coming LIVE from my Deck again! (which is 20ft x 12ft)

Good Morning Threadkillers!

Hollyann coming to you live from the study...no deck, just a patio (10x20).

Have fun all you going to the meet!

I don't have a deck either...

but I do have an enclosed porch and a pretty comfy yard...got lotsa trees and shade and a brand new hammock chair! (I bought it for hubby about a month ago.)

We've always liked the hammock chairs, can't do a real hammock cause all our trees in my yard 'cept one are "thin branched." backstory: There's a place in the outerbanx (where we vacation at the beach in NC) called Nags Head Hammocks. They have a website if you'd like to see their product. Anyway, they are expensive! Hence us never having bought one. I found this one in Target on a clearance rack :woohoo: So instead of spending $150 in Nags Head, I spent $30 at Target~

I am putting the last of my kayrap together...

and will be leaving early this afternoon for the Magicmeet. This'll probably be the last time I have to check the DIS before I go so...ta ta Threadkillers  see some of you real soon...miss the rest~ :grouphug:

---of course the last thing I am taking care of is myself, haven't packed any clothes yet, just put together my necessities this am, had to get batteries for my walkie talkies and a pair of cheap sunglasses since I broke my good ones. (The replacement part is on its way but I called too late to have them for today  )---

I'll be lurking til I leave.

LY all MI!
