Ooh, I missed you, too! Yes, I'm very glad to be back home. DD said it was just below 70 here.......jeans & turtleneck weather!
My SIL does have one grown child. Unfortunately, he's not much help. We honestly didn't think her husband would step up to the plate, either. They seemed to be more of a habit than anything else. However, he's taking good care of her and it seems they have re-discovered their love for each other. Always, better late than never. I was very happy to see them share memories and look at each other with love.
You're right, Robin, I was very happy that we went. She's lost so much weight that they've been unable to give her chemo for three weeks. If they don't put some weight back on her, she might not get to continue that route. She told me that in Feb/Mar, they recommended Hospice.........she never told us! Ugh! She, like my DMIL, were very secretive about their cancer until it was too late for anyone to help. I don't understand it, but they are adults and I respect their wishes.
