All he...heck broke loose!

The audience went into a panic...screaming...yelling....crying....

some were trying to run for the exits...others were transfixed and couldn't move...scared to the core....

the TK-ers were horrified! They never expected this kind of reaction to their show....

they stopped in mid act...each and everyone...

standing still in the spotlight...unsure of what to do...

they were certain their show was a dud...

but they were unknowing...and could not see what was happening behind them...

Ghosts and Goblins were flying in the stage background....

witches hovered above on their brooms...

a banshee was swinging on a chandolier...

bats were suspended upside down on another....

hobgoblins wre running between the aisles...

a mummy was walking unsteadily in the lobby....

the DIS-ers were surrunded by spooks and nightmares anywhere they looked...thus causing their fright....

when BP saw why the show had come to a stop...and tracked the ghouls with his eyes...and after making a mental note of where each was located...

he put on his Lurker-Vision....

spotting lurkers in the balcony...the peanut gallery...and hiding behind posts...

he Lurker-Vision messaged them to cll out the troops...

soon...the whole fleet of Lurker_Sweepers arrived at the theater...

:space: :space:

:space: :space:

:space: :space:

:space: :space:

Under BP's and the Lurkers....the Venerable Old Theatr was swept clean...

every nasty and smelly bad dream was swept up and away into the Lurker-Sweepers...

THE SHOW MUST GO ON!

was chanted by the DIS-ers after they returned to their seats....

...and the show did go on....

it ended to thunderous applause...a huge success!!

MMF & ZEN introduced each performer one by one...

each performer was showered with applause...and with bouquets of flowers from the happy audience....

and each performer was presented a :rose:
from ZEN...courtesy of BP.....

Very cute Halloween story, BP! You always make me smile, if not LOL!!! I especially liked this part:

We went to Pizza Hut tonight :crazy2: for Kelly's Book It award. She likes it anyway, and it's only once a month for 6 months.

I just finished packing up about 40 'special' Halloween treat bags, for Kelly's classmates (their FALL party is Wed), her Brownie troop, the neighbor friends, and my niece & nephew. I was beginning to think I'd run out of candy with all those bags, but alas, I always buy too much. And if I start to run out in the evening for the trick-or-treaters, I'll just grab the uneatables from the kid's buckets. :p

DS is still coughing, I am too, now, but he went to see a movie tonight. I feel sorry for those in the theater. :(

Robin, how are your kiddos doing?

 Kim:

Halloween is a good time to get rid of all of those things in the cupboards that the kids didn't like too ;)

My son is coughing today but he is watching tv with his girlfriend and they went to the Y to "workout" earlier so I guess he is not doing too bad.

My daughter said she didn't feel good this morning but I was a mean mother and told her she had to go to school anyways. It is funny but she made it through just fine ;)

I like Pizza Hut, I don't go there very often though. I like to go when the lunch buffet is on so I can try different kinds of pizza.

Tomorrow Liz starts her driver training classes (the in classroom part). She has had her beginners permit since August but has not driven once yet. She likes mom to drive her around I think. She is going for the next 2 weekends, all day classes Saturday and Sunday and then she will be done (except for the 25 hours in car part). She has to be there from 9 to 4:10 each day, so long days.

Anybody want to see my new fridge???? Here is the link to one like it I think (I looked at so many, I am not sure anymore :p )

http://www.maytag.com/mths/products...52HEW&show_features=1&cs=0&BV_UseBVCookie=Yes

Nice frig Robin! I like the bottom freezer idea, too. It just makes more sense, and that's how they used to make them. ;) I haven't bought a frig in maybe 5 years, and I only buy low-end models since I have 2, so they each cost about $400 US, no frills, no icemakers, no bins, etc. Basic refrigerators, that's it. They're about 18cu also.

Prayers for Liz and her driving. I'm right there with ya! DS has had his permit, and I've even driven with him, but Good Lord, it takes patience! He could go and get his license anyday now, but neither the ex nor I wish to start paying for insurance for him just yet! :earseek:

Thanks for the reminder too! Time to clear the cabinets of all those 'treats' they didn't eat - even the granola bars if I have to! :p

That insurance is a real killer isn't it.

We don't have to pay anything extra until they have a full license, not the beginners one. How about you? Is it that same there?

Our last fridge we had for 20 years, but it had glass shelves in it and now I don't like the ones with wire rack shelves ;) Got spoiled I guess.

I went out to pick Liz up about 8:30 tonight and the signs I saw along the way said the temperature was 68º. Very damp but warm.

Yes Robin, same thing here, the State/gov't, someone else, insures them under their permit, but once they get that license.....:earseek:

Nothing spoiled about glass shelves, they're just nicer. Both my cheapies have wire racks, they're a pain sometimes, and things just drip right down to all the 'shelves' below. :(

Temps & humidity are about the same here, too. We reached 76º today, 2º below the record high for today's date, but it's been sooooo humid that the rain from last night has not even dried on the concrete all day! It's supposed to drop 10+º for Sunday. :( Not ALL bad, but still cool. MUCH better than the year I could only take DS trick or treating by car! It was SOOO cold, and a driving rain, it was IMPOSSIBLE to go door-to-door, so we just drove to a few family & friend's houses. This year, being on a Sunday, will be a loooonngggg day! ::yes:: DDs school/church is having a Trunk & Treat for 2 hours, in the afternoon, where families have signed up to open their car trunks, filled with treats, to pass out to the school & neighborhood kids. Sounds like fun! And, very generous of them. ::yes::

So, are we the ONLY 2 around tonight? ;) :wave2:

Seems like we are the only ones here tonight. It has been quite quiet around here most of the time lately.

I remember the year we started out trick or treating and had to turn around and go home and get the winter boots out because it started snowing  , quite heavily too

Lots of other years though the weather has been absolutely wonderful.

Liz has her drivers training tomorrow and Sunday til 4:10. Tomorrow she has to go, as soon as she can get there, to the Halloween party that her competitive dance team is holding for other kids in the dance studio. They are trying to raise money for costumes or competitions or something????

Rick and I have theater tickets for tomorrow night too. We buy a series of tickets every year for anywhere from 3 -6 plays, depending on the year. We call it our "culture" :p

Alex is starting a job on Sunday night. He will be doing warehouse work at a place that fills drug orders for pharmacies. It is overnight work, Sunday and Monday 7pm to 4:30 am and then Friday nights 8 - 10, I think. He can fit this in right now because he only has classes from 10 - 12 on Mondays and no classes on Tuesdays at all.

He has an interview on Monday with a local retirement home. It is not really a nursing home but for more mobile people. He would be using his nursing skills there. He heard that it would maybe be just call in work on weekends? He will see on Monday. He did some of his nursing training at this place and really enjoyed it there.

Oh boy Robin, I remember those 'chilly' Halloweens also! Making sure to buy a costume big enough to fit a winter coat underneath, and pinning it if the weather was nice! LOL DDs costume still has last year's pin in it! :p

What are Liz and her classmates doing to raise money? Performing?

"Culture"! LOL, you crack me up! Enjoy! ;)

Wow those are late hours for Alex! The retirement community sounds like a good deal, if it's more than just call-in work. My SIL, and many nurses here, don't have a fixed job, so to speak, but rather 'registry duty'. They get paid higher, but have no benefits, and the hospital gets basically a full-time nurse. It's weird, but insurance is SUCH an issue here, it's almost expected for the nurses to be hired this way. It's sad for the ones that NEED insurance though, they're treated much differently, and expected to do so much more than the registry nurses. Thankfully, my brother is a union plumber, so his insurance covers the whole family. Same situation for me, I have no benefits, but dh is a union member, so he covers us all. ::yes::

Hmmmmmmmm, DS isn't home yet.....

They are having games for 25 cents with prizes, simple stuff like pass the orange, pin the ??? on something ;), apple bobbing maybe.... I don't remember them all but there will probably be a lot of smaller kids there.

They are also having a pumpking carving competition and a dance competition too I think.

They are also setting up a haunted house type thing in the basement of the church with all of the competitive dance team members taking parts in the haunted house. Liz is supposed to be some sort of psycho person (the other kids said they could picture her in the role :p ), she is supposed to be in a strait jacket (white shirt with arms pinned back), have black makeup and weird hairdo and make scary noises.

I think they are charging 50 cents to go through that. I don't think they will make tons of money but they should have some fun doing it.

Yes those are late hours for Alex, but with his school schedule right now he should be able to manage them. After Christmas his classes will change so he doesn't know what he will do then.

He heard that the retirement home thing would be so many weekend hours a month but that was from someone who worked there so he doesn't know for sure what they are looking for. He would just like a job where he can use the nursing skills he learned.

Nurses here are pretty much the same. There are not too many full time nursing jobs, mainly part time. They get paid higher but no benefits. The crazy thing is that most of them end up working tons and tons of hours a week.

Has your son come home yet????? Is he working or just out?

Mine is not home yet either. He went to drive his girlfriend home and that takes at least an hour. He took my car because he got stopped by the police the other night because his license plate light was not working. He better fix that tomorrow.

Kim, I hope your son made it home safely last night.

I took my daughter to Driver training class and then I went to the grocery store  .

Very warm and muggy here today. It is very cloudy and dark and threatening rain though, temp about 71 º. Went out and raked a few leaves but it is too wet to do much.

What is everyone doing this fine day????

:bored: :bored: :bored:

We did not get to go to the theater tonight. We were all ready to leave, getting our coats on and I looked at the tickets .......... it said the show started at 7pm................ it was 10 to 8 at the time

Most of the shows start at 8 so I guess we never really thought much of it and didn't check the tickets close enough. So we decided to just stay home instead of going in halfway through.
