Both of my kids rooms are ankle deep with clothes and stuff on the floor. You can't even tell if they have carpet in their rooms.

I try not to go in there too often, because I am always stepping on something under the clothes that cracks or snaps

Much too scary for me. I tell them, if you want clean clothes, you better hunt out the ones you want washed, because I am not going looking for them.

Kim, you went to WDW with a bunch of DISer's??? How cool that would be. Being there with someone who actually appreciates it to the extent that they should ::yes::

prescriptions, over the counter drugs you might need, autograph books and big pens for the kids if they want to collect autographs.....

Kim, sounds like fun.

Did you go if someone you knew or just went and met people while you were there.

I don't know if I could talk my husband into approving a trip like that. He would whine and say that he wanted to go away too. ;) and why would I want to go away without him

Oh yea, thanks so much for reminding me. I would of never thought to bring the meds...

Where is Dalpal this weekend???? Did she say she was going some where and I forgot????

I hope Wendy and Luckymommy are having fun in Florida this weekend ::yes::

It would be nice to meet some Diser's.....my DH would be the same way Cruisin'Kroezes

Wear some lime green and keep your eyes open for the lime green stuff and maybe you will meet some Diser's while you are there.

I have worn my DIS pin and Home Depot Mickey heads and haven't met a single DISer while I was at WDW yet!!

Maybe you will have better luck

The last time we went to Disney I spotted someone w/ a lime green ribbon on their stroller....they were too far away & the crowds were pretty bad (june) so I could not say Hi..that was the only time I've ever seen someone w/ lime green....hopefully I'll have luck this time around...

So are you driving or flying to Florida then PrincessaC???

And where are you going to stay while you are there????

We like to know allllll of the details :teeth:

LOL... We are driving to Fl.. should take about 6 hours. We plan on leaving around 8am and stopping at Moody AFB on the way for Lunch....

We're staying at SOG (our first time there) :hyper:

When we drive to Florida it takes 19 hours of non-stop driving to get there!!! We don't do it non stop of course. We usually stop one night on the road and therefore do it in 2 days.

The first day we leave very early 4 - 6 am and drive until supper usually. It is a 12 - 14 hour day of travel. Then we usually stop for the night somewhere just north of Atlanta. The next day we finish the trip.

6 hours drive is a piece of cake ;)

To fly to Orlando, we drive to Detroit (1 1/2 hours to the airport), and it is a 2 1/2 hour approx flight. So from leaving home to arriving in Orlando it is about 6 hours, allowing for driving and security checks, crossing borders etc.

Driving makes packing easier ::yes:: You don't have to worry so much about what you bring. You have plenty more space to put it in!!!!

You will have to tell us about SOG!

Wow..that's a really long drive... Do you have young ones?? I have 2 boys..7 and 4 yrs of age....

Our first trip they were 5 and 2 , 2nd trip 6 and 3, and now
They usually do very good on the road trip....they sleep most of the way and watch a movie or two..sometimes play a game..dh hooks up the ps2, so they have plenty to keep them busy....

I agree w/ you..6hrs is not so bad...

Gee, I just went to fold laundry, and there's a new page.

Let's see: Robin, I roomed with a local DISer, December99 n/k/a Cruise04. It worked out fine. I/we met most of the other DISers at various events that were scheduled. Even tho most of CON got cancelled, we all still went on with the plans. I scheduled some 'me' time, seriously, and I broke off and did what I wanted, no adults, and NO kids! It was great! And, other times when I had events planned, and my roomie didn't, she went along, and vice versa I think. And, since dh had met quite a few of the other locals, he was ok with it (or so it seemed, at the time:( ). I had talked about that trip for over a year, I was determined to go. ::yes::

PC, did you go in June, 2001? That might have been our stroller!!! Also, re: packing, don't forget the last minute stuff, it's the stuff you've just used last minute, before you leave....toothbrushes & paste, mouthwash, deodorant, hair brushes & combs, hair spray/mousse/gel whatever, and for me, my curling iron. Lots of these come in travel sizes, but sometimes there's just one product you HAVE to have. ;)

KimRaye....it was last year June and the year before that was April ....

Thanks for the reminders...I'm starting to write everything down as you give it to me.. LOL...

I'm back and forth to the pc..folding clothes and dis'ing :teeth:

jeez i can't type tonight..
