MMF, I'm not entirely sure I understand your last post - not enough caffeine today - did you mean that you've been on the Threadkillers since page 3? If so, that's not horrifying - that's wonderful!

Hello Thread-Killers and Lurkers...one and all!

well, well ,well....

I started to catch up...and see words like "ole"..."old"....incorrigible" <~~ that's 4 this month...and I know I must be being missed....

Hey! It's fair season! There are sausages...BBQ Chicken...fries...candy appples...all with my name on them...

PLUS! It's a time to renew old friendships...Nick from Bradenton FL...a sausage vendor....a HUGE Italian fellow (he lost about 100 pounds since last year..)...who is as nice as he is large...

he makes THE BEST sausages of anybody...he cooks and spces with a happiness that is hard to describe...AND...he sings the oldies as he does...

I had the pleasure of being with all 5 Grandkids at the same time so Nick could see them all...and meet the ones he hadn't....all at the same time......

he and his wife and their family all work during this fair (and the next...in Stoneboro)...so...it is only a 2 week visit...it's cool...


The kids and PA and I have had a ball...Sammy LOVES the critters...

she is fascninated with the cow milking...and the cows...and the horses...lol...even the sheeps, pigs and goats...

heaven forbid I try to go by the bunny building or the poultry barn with her in tow...it ain't gonna happen...

"PAPA! BUNNIES!"....every time...every single time...

at any given time...fair season r not...I can say to Sammy...'what's a cow say?"

"MOO" she says....

"what's a kitty say?"

"meow" she says...

"what's the sheeps say?"

"baaa" says she....

OK! Got it?

so....we go into the sheep barn...me...PA...WS...Kara...Corey...& Sammy...

I say.."Sammy...whats the sheeps say?"

she says..."Baaa"...

I says..."no Honey..they say...Saa-a-aa---aa-mmmmy"

she says "Papa...sheep don't say Sammy"...

"oh No?"

and here I am thinking she going to say they say..."Paaaaa-aaa-aaa-Paa-aaaa"

I contine.."what do they say then?"

she goes....

PA tries ...unsuccessfully...to keep a straight face...

WS has her eyes bugged out in surprise...then she starts howling...

Kara & Corey are already doubled over....

i think people thought we are nuts...but...Oh Boy..what great times...what a memory...all fom a 2 year old...

Brad Paisley played Sunday night...we were geeking around the fair....but...we heard him...and heard him real good...

I should have got a ticket...he is a class act...great voice...super performer....

I saw a ton of people out n the fairgrounds singing along...one great thing about Crawford Couty...you can hear the acts everywhere...it's an awesome fair...

well...going back to catch up...I'll be bopping around here...and there...

nice to know I was missed....and truth to tell..I missed you galoots too...

PSSST! Hey Lurkers...isn't tonight "Strawerry ice cream" night on the Lurker_Sweeper?

and...as EVERYBODY knows...that's the aliens favorite earthfood...SO..if you're headed to Area 51 with a few gallons of strawberry ice cream....stop by and get me...

BrerPapa - I just knew you were at the fair! I love sausage sandwiches myself, except I can't eat the bread anymore! So, if you're offering bites of your sausage sandwich - BEWARE!!! I take my bites right out of the middle!

Sounds like you had a wonderful time. I always loved the agricultural fairs. We have a fair here at our county in the spring. For some reason or another, I've not been able to make it since I moved here. I always intend to, but life seems to get in the way! Next year!

Grandkids sure have a way of making life worth living, don't they? Our GS is just now learning how to give hugs - he's not a touchy-feely kinda guy - he's much more rough & tumble! Anyway, he's taken to his Papa and decided that he's worth hugging. That's something we definitely agree on! Heck, he even gave me a hug today. But then, after swinging him around for 30 minutes playing Superman - I needed that hug!

I'm watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play right now. My hubby isn't a Steelers fan, but I've been one since Terry Bradshaw. His family (since he's from Pittsburgh) LOVES me! He's a Jacksonville Jaguars fan.

smell something (something good )...like the one place that has about 50 chickens spinnng over open flames....

sharing things....something funny....something fun...laughing as one...

being at the bake sale...and i thought..."I could see us crazy nuts start bidding against each other....
for the fun of it..and because the money is for a good cause....

watching the fair at night....with all the lights...twinkling here and there...flashing everywhere....spinning and twirlig by the rides....the sky clear...the wind warm....i thought of all of us just enjoying those sights...with the din and bustle of the fair in our ears...the smells and aroma's of the various foods inhaled deeply.... almost as if we breathed as one....

all this and more....yes...i did miss each of you...all of you....

you are a part of my life...

you are my friends....

hmm...that s now 5 incorrigibles this month!

Just got done watching some TV. Honey Bunny has a bit of a headache, so we're going to cuddle and sleep. I hate when that happens to him....he's such a fun guy and when he doesn't feel well, even a little bit, I hurt for him.

Sister's are coming a day early and are due here tomorrow morning! Can't wait!
