Problem was on my end, lost my sound for some reason and had to restart the computer.

Now I can hear it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, reminds me of 70's night on the Disney Wonder

Hi everyone! Well, it looks like we dodged a bullet here in Jacksonville. Orlando was hit hard. The southwestern part of Florida was really hit, too. I feel so lucky tonight. We're expecting some winds tonight, but nothing like it was going to be. It may reach 50-60 between 2 & 4, but we were expecting around 90 for about 6 hours. We were very lucky!

BrerPapa, how is your DS & DDIL doing? They've been in my thoughts & prayers all evening as were so many Floridians.

It looks like Charley is going to intensify and then head up the eastern seaboard. They're even talking about it still being a Category 1 hurricane when it reaches Cape Cod! Imagine that!

Well, since I know how to do smilies, I have to jump and dance.....thanks for the music!

Oops now the page has turned and I have to repost the song:teeth:

Hi Cruisin! Glad to see you! How are ya doin? I'm just dandy! SO glad this is almost over!

Hey !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ann!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad that you have survived the ordeal, glad to see you back DISing.

Do you know if you suffered any damages to your house or will you have to wait till morning to find out?

Thank you Ann, for checking in, and letting us know you're ok! Relieved too, I'm sure!

I'll wait til morning to find out, but it's highly unlikely. It really wimped out here in Orange Park. Since our winds are going to start soon, it's best not to go outside......just in case!

Really what can you tell in the dark. It is better to wait until morning and then go out and investigate if the weather is agreeable.

Hi again! I'm going to beddy bye! I'm still going to sleep in my "safe" room incase the winds come along with a funnel cloud. Can't be too safe!

I was up til 5am last night - couldn't sleep and hubby called at 9am and I've been up ever since. So, I'm sleepy! I missed my nap and I missed night sleep. That's not like me! I tried to nap, but it didn't last too long!

Ya'll take care and I'll "chat" with you tomorrow! I hope BrerPapa checks in soon with good news from his family.

Ya'll be in my prayers - thanks for your love & support! Annnie

Okay Ann, you deserve a good rest. I am glad that you are going to stay in your safe spot though, just in case.

Talk to you in the morning::yes::

Gosh I am watching CNN and see some of the damage in Port Charlotte. Awful.

We have gone down to Port Charlotte area for the last 2 years at Christmas time. The place we stay is quite a bit inland so I hope it has survived all right. It is a house that belongs to a friend.

What a mess:(

They are reporting casualities but no numbers have been given.

How do how do, everyone!

Ann, I'm very glad to hear that you are okay!!!

I'm turning a keen eye to good 'ol Charley.....they say he's travelling up the eastern seaboard. Just grand. I'm a block and a half from teh Atlantic Ocean here in NJ. We'll see what happens. :umbrella:

Hi :wave2: Kevin! Looks like we'll have to try that transfer another time. :( Sorry to be using your server. I've gotten a couple PM compliments, and a posted reply about my new, pretty, siggie! Thank you again!!!! :cloud9:

:wave2: Kevin

OH, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You mean now we are going to have to worry about you :earseek:

I hope this storm gets out of here really quick. It is much too hard on the nerves

Yes Kevin, I'm sorry. I was going to edit my post, but a separate one is good, too! STAY SAFE, take all the good advice and planning from Ann! ::yes::

I WILL SURVIVE!!!

OMG.. I smell OJ and Vodka...screwdrivers........ and Harvey Wallbangers.... I see ghosts of Disco Dancers..... I see Quiana Shirts ... and lots of bodysuits and Danskin outfits...

I see glittering disco lights... and I see people doing the Hustle...

and I see mamajoan and grampastrawbarry dancing the night away..

ah.... to be young in the 70"s:crazy:     :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Kim, don't worry about the clippie...I'm in no rush..I'm glad you and other like it! LOL

Right now they're saying that Charley will either be a tropical depression or a Tropical Storm when it reaches us.....for that matter, they also said Charley would be a category 2 and hit Tampa....so...I guess we'll just see what happens.

I think mamajoan is either having a stroke or a nervous breakdown...LOL!

:wave2: Robin!!

I guess I'll take the proverbial "Olympic torch" from Ann and keep you all posted about what is going to happen or not happen around here. :umbrella:

Just thinking out loud....I'm so glad I don't work on the beach crew where I work.....boy will they have their work cut out for them if Charley imposes on us.....gazebos, potted palms, cabanas, hammocks.....sucks for them...LOL

I see Kevin that you stayed at the POP Century in 2003. We stayed there at the end of January of 2004. It was our first time actually staying on-site and we enjoyed it very much even though we only stayed for 2 nights before our cruise.

Hopefully they will have a good code sale before we go on our next cruise in January 2005. Then we will probably stay there again for a night or 2 before we leave.

We stayed in the 70's. Our room was at the corner of the mood ring and the platform shoe :p

What era did you stay in?
