I am deeply touched by the quoted comment...but it is not rightly my credit to take....I have said on this thread a couple times that he is a good man....these are the types of things he taught me over the years...

add-ons or added influencing to the fine job Pop and Ma did while I was growing up....I was only 18 when I first met him after all....

If it was credit due to only me...I would have gone into deep blush mode....BUT....I will thank him , as I am Thanking you Cruisin' , for the sweet reminders of life's lessons....and that a good deed is good indeed....

I've had some people e-mail me snippets of comedy songs - if they are anything like what I've been sent, your stomach will hurt from laughing so hard.

Thank you....it's been a hectic last 4 and half hours....

DFIL was in bad shape....but kept rallying....it was still a shock....

Princess Ariel is with her Mom tonight....and we have an appointment i the AM for the arrangements...

The people at the care center were aboslutely fantastic too...I/we are grateful....

I worked the phones...DD - Wishing Star got phone numbers so Icold call oldest DS....who is on a well deserved vacation in North Carolina...he's on his way home..

I also called youngest DS in Florida....he is making arrangements to fly home... I told him book pittsburgh/cleveand/buffalo if he has to...i'll go get him if he can't fly direct into erie or they say he has a long layover in any of those towns..
...

WishingStar .....quite the "GrandPa's girl"....went above and beyond the call of duty to console her Mom and Grandma....I am so proud of her...

Her DH and oldest boys DW both have a birthday friday....dang....

whew...my typing can't keep up with my thoughts....so many memories of him....all good....a great guy...a good man....we will all miss him very much....

you know....we have a lot of fun here....we've shared some real good times....and now a not-so-good time...

it feels good to talk this out with you, my friends....thanks....

I was going to add that if I/we can do anything, just let me/us know....I'm/we're here for you. So, ramble on dear friend. I'm feeling this loss with you...sorta....you know what I mean, I hope.

Your DFIL was obviously loved and admired very much. He must have been proud to have such a wonderful family as well. More {{HUGS}}.

Bill, I am so very, very sorry to hear about your father in law. From the things you have said he was a very good man and meant an awful lot to you and your family. Please Know that I am crying with you tonight. There is nothing anyone can say or do to lessen your pain tonight. Always remember we are here for you if you need us.

Please pass along my sympathies to your wife and family. Hug those grandchildren a little closer tomorrow and look to the future.
