Well, yes & no. He did pick the one I chose, but he informed me it isn't green, it's yellow. Maybe it was the lighting? I don't know, but it's the bird with color nonetheless.

Happy September to you too Brer_Papa and to all you other threadkillers out there! August was the worst month in quite awhile for me so I'm very happy to have it behind me. I love fall and this morning definitely reminds me of that! It's beautiful but nippy!

Hi threadkillers & lurkers alike!

I just wanted to update you on Hurricane Frances. DD & I are going to head up to Tennessee today. We're packing right now. Our hubbys are going to ride the storm out. Since we're taking our pets, they will be able to get to a shelter without worries if it's needed. We decided since we have a welcome mat out with a dear, DEAR friend in Tennessee, we're going to visit! I won't be on-line til probably around Monday or Tuesday if all goes well with the hurricane. Please keep our hubbies in your prayers!

Had some Grandkids stop by....

We changed the batteries on the walkie talkies and played "spy"

I hid out....and they had to find me...I hid in the RV....watching television....sipping some ice tea....and they found me...

I guess they heard the TV in the background when they radioed me....

Memo to self:
I have to let the hems down in my kilts for the fall ....don't want them too short when the wind gets brisk.....

anyway....once they found me...I got them some sodas....and we made their Mom & Dad & PA look for us...they didn't have a radio....took them a while....

Now....for some news....Youngest DS the CM called....he had another interview....for a job in guest relations....he says it went well....he is supposed to get notified next week...

He also says there is a lot of jittery foks there with Frances following so close to Charley....

he says him and his DW are all set...i said they better be....

You should at least learn to turn down the volume on the tv if you are going to talk on the walkie talkie and want to stay "hidden". You should probably keep the curtains all closed and the lights off too.

I hope all in Florida weather the storm safely. I hope there is still some of Florida left in 20 days, cause I am really looking forward to my vacation too.

I shortened the kilts in the spring to show a little leg....

I heard tonight during the Cubs game, that Frances may affect the Cubs - Marlins series this weekend. Trust me, I know this is insignificant, but I just wanted to share how Frances affects me, too, in a small, small way.
