Good morning, everyone!

Holy cow! A week of August is already over. What happened to July - or June for that matter? I realized it's been a month since I've been posting on this board, and I feel GREAT! I've never known such an inspirational, supportive bunch of folks in my life. WISHers totally rule!!!:smooth:

So, because of the strength I find in all of you, I did my four-mile WATP yesterday, and - the strangest thing - I think it felt a little easier! Could this be that strange thing they call endurance? Wow! How exciting! I'm SHOUTIN' ABOUT IT!!!

Now tell me what you did to get active yesterday - and SHOUT ABOUT IT! You've done a wonderful thing for yourself, and you should be proud! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc Thank you, all of you, for your motivation and support. You're the best!

Daisy;)

I did 2 1/4 miles on the treadmill yesterday and weights.

Feeling better everyday.

Keep up the good work everyone!

YIPPEE, DAISY!!!!!:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

So glad to hear that your 4 mile WATP tape is getting easier for you! Yup, I think you are building endurance.

Yesterday was my off day for lifting/crunches, so I ran! I ran so far away. I just ran, I ran all night and day. I couldn't get away.... ;) Oh, sorry, I just channeled the group A Flock of Seagulls. I jogged for about 4 miles and I felt great! Started out kind of too fast and ended up finishing very slowly, but I never let myself quit and walk any part of it, so I am happy, happy, happy! ;)

ME ME ME - 20plus times around the gerbil track before the rain started - it was drizzling during those 20x's but then it started coming down heavier.

TigH-Wow!! You have got determination!!! Congratulations!!!
Bliss4us-Isn't that wonderful when you can do a workout with "gusto" and not poop out???!!! Awesome!!:Pinkbounc
Webray-great job on the treadmill and weights-I'll bet you carried that feeling around with you all day!! Wow!!
My story is a little boring-me and DH strolled 1.5 miles in about 40 minutes!!:( My incision is still so sore. Good news-I did it without pain pills! I'm too hard on myself, surgery was just Wednesday. But I did it!!!:p

Wow, Beastlover!

You ARE too hard on yourself! I would have wanted to take the week off if I had just had surgery. And you're out there getting active, what, one day later? I'm nominating you for Trooper of the Week, my dear!!!

Way to go!

I second this nomination! :) WOW! I would have used that as an excuse to stay in bed, myself! GREAT for you for having such a wonderful attitude and such strong determination!!!

2 mile WATP for me. :)

Awesome job, Beastlover!! I third the nomination! (as if third matters, I think you've already snagged it!)

Thanks for the support-you guys are the BEST:p Its because of you that I have come this far, and feel like I can do better!!
You are the only ones that understand how it feels to finally DO IT!! Once you can, you don't want to stop!!!
Thanks again--Have a great day everyone!!!
Michelle

I did the 2 mile WATP tape last night (after eating crab legs at Red Lobster....should have done 10miles :D )

I'm aiming for the 3 mile tape tonight, and if the weather holds, maybe some walking outside.

Michelle - you are an inspiration to us all - I can't say that I would be doing anything after having surgery...way to go!

I did the 1mile watp tape and then 10 mins on treadmill. I tried to get in 15 but no matter what i do i always end up having to go potty after i start and i just couldn't wait any longer.

question for everyone. i will get the 3 week exercise clippie at the end of this week but i will be on vacation next week so i won't be keeping track of my walking. does that mean i have to start over with the clippie or can i just pick up on starting my 4th week when i get back? thanks

I'm still looking for that endurance mark with just the yoga, tai chi, and exercise bike, Daisy! Glad you found yours! :D

25 minutes of Tai Chi last night. That's all my legs would handle, but then I was left feeling like I hadn't done enough with my arms, even though the arms are half the work in Tai Chi. Any suggestions? I won't do weight machines, I know that.

Beastlover -- great that you're still doing exercise, but don't hurt yourself, okay? You did just have surgery, and that's an acceptable excuse to take it easy for a bit. :) *hugs*

Honey -- Good question, I was wondering that myself, though more for what happens when you lose a week for any reason. What do people do with the weight-loss clippies when they gain it back?

Another question is where are you going for vacation? If it's somewhere that you'll be doing some exercise anyway (like WDW, if you walk around the parks, that counts!!) then count it for the week. :) You don't have to do x minutes on the elliptical or your WATP tapes for it to count. :) Just exercise.

Rajah - I'll be in WDW for 7 days. You're right, I'll probably end up doing a lot more walking than I do when I'm at home and exercising. I'm pretty sure I'll cover more than 2 miles a day in the World. You've made me very happy knowing that I'll still be getting my exercise in on vacation but without really thinking that its exercise (my favorite kind).

I haven't had a chance to be on the boards for a couple of days. I have done my usual 50 min on the treadmill each day. With us getting ready to start back our schooling and getting on more of a routine, I'm going to be gradually adding in some weight training soon. Will keep you posted.

Keep up the great work everyone and have a wonderful weekend!
Tammy

I went to Curves yesterday. (did not have time today tho :( )
Planning on going tomorrow too.

Yea for everyone!!:Pinkbounc

I did!! Here me shouting? ;)

I did my usual 20 minutes on the elliptical and then my abs and lower back for another 20 minutes.

Keep up the great work everyone!

:D

I ran short on time so I did the 1 mile WATP and then we went to the State Fair and I walked around for about 3 1/2 hours. Not brisk walking, but I am sure it counts for something.

On the bright side, I only ate a taco salad (no shell or chips) which is just fine on Atkins!

I said no to mini donuts, french fries, taffy, elephant ears, funnel cakes, cajun fried shrimp, onion blossom, corn on the cob, a corn dog, a milk shake, and every other wonderful thing they serve.

Felt so proud that I stayed on program.

I went back to 2 mile WATP this a.m.

My daughter went out and bought me a WATP 4 miles tape so of course I just had to do it! I also did my usual 200 crunches. I am trying new workouts this week to see if I can shake things up so wish me luck! Great job to all that worked out!

I did I Did! I did my 2 mile WATP DVD and half of my pilates for dummies DVD :-) Going strong with the exercising over here:-) but have not lost any weight yet :-(
