Hi all!!!

Hope everyone had a super day yesterday! I did the four-mile WATP and feel GREAT!

Do you WISHers out there feel a huge difference in your attitude after you exercise? I sure do! Even when I don't really feel like it, once I get done, I feel like I can take on the world!!!

So thanks once again to all of you who help me find that feeling every day - you keep me moving! :Pinkbounc

Post your activity for yesterday here, and congratulate yourself on making a GREAT CHOICE! Every day is another opportunity to get active, and YOU'RE DOING IT! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Have a wonderful day, everyone,

Daisy;)

Yes, there is definitely some empowerment that I feel after I exercise....like you said, I feel like I can take on the world! I also feel taller (and coming from a person with not so great posture, that's an accomplishment!)

My exercise yesterday consisted of:
Curves in the morning
A 2 mile bike ride with the kids in the afternoon
And the 2 mile WATP in the evening (with some modifications because of my uncoordination with the grapevine/arm circle thing) :)

Woo hoo! I feel GOOD! :)

only twice around the gerbil track
But I did mow for 2hrs 20mins

No workout yesterday, I had surgery...:( All went great, and I will begin with a stroll thru the neighborhood w/DH tonite, to help move the excess water out from the IV.
Have a great day everyone!!;)

Happy Thursday, Daisy!

Great question! Yes, my workouts do influence my attitude. Some days I am feeling absolutely crummy and I start working out and I'm just not focused. Then I seem to snap out of it, concentrate on what I am doing and feel much better once it's done. Having my "Kamy workout chart" just makes it even sweeter, I LOVE filling in the blocks on my workout chart!!! It's a real ego booster!

Yesterday I did crunches and worked my back and biceps with hand weights. I also ran 3.5 miles (covered 3.9 total with a quick walk to warm up). Then I power walked 3.5 miles with Jen and Ross last night (thank goodness it was not raining!) Woo-hoo! Also, Jen wanted me to help her mow her lawn, but by some amazing miracle her neighbor had mowed her lawn for her while she was at work, so thankfully I didn't have to do it (but it would have counted as exercise!) ;)

1 3/4 miles on the treadmill. Mostly all uphill again.

Good job everyone!

By the way...can someone tell me what WATP is?
Thanks.

I did the 3 mile WATP yesterday.

Webray, WATP is Walk Away the Pounds tapes/dvds. I bought the dvd that had the 1 mile walk, 2 mile walk, and 3 mile walk and came with the walk away belt. It's a pretty good workout. I like it because I can feel the benefits and it's something I can do unlike pilates!

I did my 1/2 hr at Curves - was planning on doing a WATP tape when I got home, but had to cook tons of chicken before it went bad, so by the time I was done - didn't have the energy to do more exercise - I hope to do a tape tonight.

Way to go to all those you exercised!!

How did you cook it? In a situation like this, I'd stick it all in a baking dish or two and pop it in the oven at 325 or 350. That way it'll cook while I'm doing something else (typically not exercise though) ;)

Actually, I usually pre-bake barbeque chicken too, then stick it on the grill for flavor and to baste with sauce. Otherwise my chicken turns out burnt before it's cooked through and the kids HATE that!!

HTH!

ohiominne - I did some in the oven, and some on my George Forman grill (I have the small one, so I could only do 1 at a time). I stood watch so that I wouldn't over cook the chicken breasts (if not, I could have exercised at the same time).

I did I did, and I'm so proud of myself because I *almost* said skip it, yet again. That's a full week that I've almost skipped it for a day (which of course would turn into two, then three, then ten...) and finally did something before going to bed. :) I was doing well about not wanting to skip the first week, this week is the tough one, next week if I can make it through it, it'll be even better because I've never gotten that far before. Shoot, I've never made 2 weeks before on my own program. :)

And I felt I actually did something worthwhile this time, which was a full hour and ten minutes of a more intense yoga routine -- the one they were doing in class yesterday. I did find the book at half price books so was able to follow it at home. :)

I jumped back into the 2 mile WATP with weights last night. After doing only 1 mile Tuesday night due to feeling yucky with flu, I needed to kick back in gear.

I've been better at exercising than posting lately! :earseek:

I have some catching up to do here. :teeth: I'm not sure how far back I have to go to cover my missed posts, but I'll start with:

Sat - Walked about 3 mi. Went to see MIL in Brooklyn & did our walking in her neighborhood.

Sun - Swam 3/4 mile at the pool.

Mon - planned day off

Tues - bowled 4 games in about 90 min

Wed - Walked 1.5 mi. Too humid to go much farther.

Thurs - Swam 1/2 mi plus before it started to rain & they closed the pool. :(

Phew, I'm all caught up here now! Maybe I'll go out for a walk later with DH if the rain stays stopped.

To answer your question, yes, I feel MUCH better after I exercise! :teeth: I also sleep better.

I am so proud of myself yesterday! I decided that I would work while having my lunch (Slim Fast Shake). During my lunch time, I pop on my headset and went on a brisk walk for 30 minutes. I just thought it would be a better use of my time.

After supper, I convinced the family to go on a 30 minute bike ride. I had my 3 year old (40 pounds) in the pull-a-long so it was an extra workout.

Finally, I took a walk with my neighbor. What a lot of exercising yesterday! I was so happy with myself.

Yes, exercising makes me feel so good. It also puts me in a great mood because I know that I am working towards my goal.

Great job to everyone else who was working hard toward their goal yesterday as well!

Jen

I only worked arms on wed. long story as to why i didn't get to walk - grrrr.

The 2-mile WATP tape for me again! I've only missed one day this week!
