It scares the bejesus oot me.

So does The Haunted Mansion......and dont get me started on Monsters inc.

Yes I know its just a film but i PROVES there are closet monsters !!!

:scared1:

My feardyness is legendary.

Me? Afraid of a little itty bitty ride? Nah!

BTW, I'm the scaredy-cat in the pink shirt, holding onto my DD13 for dear life!!:lmao:

Keep screaming. We love laughing at you.:rotfl2: Dinosaur has always been one of my favorite rides and didn't scare me even the first time, and I don't like scary things. Maybe if you didn't close your eyes, you would see that there is nothing to be scared of. If you listen to Dr. Seeker, he tells you everything that is going on. I really like the story. And it IS all fake. Even the bumpyness of the ride if fake. It's just the car going up and down and rocking, not the track. It's on flat ground. The backseat is the BEST!!! Next time you ride it, just enjoy the story line and remember you're trying to bring back the cute Iguanodon.

But you almost get EATEN by dinos!!!! Especially that one in the end where you have to duck to get out of reach of him!! And if you're in the back, he has a btter chance of getting you ;) HA :goodvibes

.................................BOO!

I refuse to ride this ride. I was scared as a baby the whole time and I'm almost 20 years old. When we looked at the picture after the ride you couldnt see my whole body I had my whole upper body in the bottom of the ride. My cousins havnt let me live it down. I love rides but not this one.

My kids and sister road it for the first (and only) time yesterday. As a note, they all rode EE twice and LOVED it. Their verdicts:

DS17: That was AWESOME!! It made me jump a LOT!! :thumbsup2

Sister: That was a good one; scarier than I thought it would be. :thumbsup2

DD8: Didn't talk for 20 minutes afterwards; according to DS and sister she had her head down in her lap. It's the ONLY thing that's scared her and that she hasn't loved at WDW so far (including TOT and Rockin' Roller Coaster). :scared1:

*I'm a big chicken and am perfectly content to be the holder of stuff while they go on things too wild for me.
:)

My DD 5 laughed the whole time. She absolutely loved it. Wanted to ride it agian straight away. We ended up riding it 3 times in a row with zero wait!

For comparison she was:
EE: Bored
ToT: Loved it. Rode it 8 times over our 6 day visit
RnRC: Too short, but would have loved it!

Basically nothing scares her. I think its hilarious!

On the other hand, after riding Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges at Islands of Adventure she said (very seriously) "I don't like that ride. I don't want to do it again." When her brother and I rode it again while she waited with her mother she said to her "Why do they want to do THAT again?" She wasn't scared, but she hates getting wet, and boy oh boy do you get wet on that ride!

I rode it once in 2000 (shortly after the renaming to Dinosaur)... and have never ridden it again. I swear it was the scariest ride I've ever been on. About half way through, I just closed my eyes and held on and sang songs in my head until the end. I'll ride anything else. But not Dinosaur. :rotfl:

DD16 rode it when she was 14 and the look on her face in the picture was one of pure terror. Last year I tried to get her to ride it but she wouldn't budge. I'm working on trying to geto herto ride it this year, but it's not looking good. She absolutely refuses to ever go on it again.:sad2:

Dinosaur terrifies me everytime but, my father has to at least ride it 4 times while we're there (he states that it's the best ride in Animal Kingdom). It's bad how I can even scared when my head is down and all I can see if darkness. But, it's okay everyone from the ages of 16 like myself to 40 like my parents are terrified. That's the whole purpose of it. :goodvibes

I haven't ridden it but dh rode with our then 5yr old ds and he loved it so much he wanted to ride again! Sorry, I had to put this in. LOL :)

I'm 25 years old, I've been on every ride in Disney without a problem...EXCEPT dinosaur! IT SCARES THE :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: OUT OF ME EVERY TIME! I know when it happens, where it happens and I even get myself looking in the direction ready for when it does, but however much I prepare myself I still scream like a little child every single time lol and yes, I'm very ashamed lol

Please tell me other people have this too (people over 10 if at all possible)

Oooo Haunted Mansion is another EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!

I have only been on Dinosaur one time and will never go on it again. I was scared the whole time ...at that time I wasn't shure where the "bad" part was so I was on age the whole time and most of it my head was buried in my husbands arm. For the picture you can't even see my face! He wants to do it again on our trip in May but I refuse! No way! :scared1:

I'm 28 and am scared of Dinosaur too! Some of the other rides make me nervous, but this one petrifies me! OMG! I always look away when that part comes. My kids on the other hand love the ride adn always laugh at me.

I have been "you-tubing" all of the questionable rides for my littles... Dinosaur seems INCREDIBLY short! I guess that is a very good thing for those who may REALLY want to get out-- and fast! :)

I have been to WDW only once, in 1990, at age 19. I remember being somewhat spooked by the dinosaurs in Exxon's Energy deal (I guess what is now Ellen's joint).

In any case, while I may leave the kidlets outside with one of the THREE grandparents that will be with us, I will have to try Dinosaur out with DH. Glutton for punishment? :rotfl:

LOL! I love reading all of these posts. I love this ride, although one time I did get a bit scared because the ride broke down and car was on one of the tilting table. I thought we were gonna be shaken to death! Plus it was scarier because we were in the dark and all I could hear was the dino sounds lol!
:rotfl:
