Who else is offering free dining for 2010 ?

me and dh are ready for booking, but does anybody know when schools and colleges are likely to return after the 2010 summer holidays my ds will be leaving school next year and wants to go to college, and what happens if he has to enrol whilst we are on holiday.

Wooohooo think we are going to book 2 weeks from 29th Aug I think I'm going to book for POFQ and then maybe upgrade at a later date! We already have a booking with disney which I need to cancel (decided not to go in Nov) so hopefully I can just pay £25 and move it

we are looking at 1st sept 2 weeks at pofq!!!!!! we shall see you there??

let us know if they do move it as I would be interested incase something pops up and we cant go next year

It should be fine they let me move it before have you been to Port Orleans before - not sure between FQ and Riverside? Any thoughts?

we are staying there for the first time this year but from walking round it looks so nice, alot smaller than the rest but we liked that about it and you can use all the riverside features.

Also from what I dont think they share buses which is a plus, we spent our wedding trip at CSR and this was way too big and just didnt feel like a disney resort

Now if they back early sept, it means they will only have had 5 weeks off, but I don't know if 06/09 is too late.

My guess is that some schools will go back around Thursday 02/09. Do we have any teachers on these boards who may be able to help.

I have the dilema that my DS starts secondary school and they usually start a day earlier than the rest, so I daren't book anything yet.

Do you come under Wakefield LEA? can't believe they have not sorted next summers dates yet. Not good for parents wanting to book hols. Kirklees dates have been out months, break up Weds 21st Jul, go back Weds 1st Sept, exactly 6 weeks off.

No Wayne, I come under Bradford LEA. The school that I hope my DS will get a place at comes under North Yorks. Both are bad at telling us dates for school hols. All we know and are likely to know until Oct 09, are the dates that they break up for the school year 2009/2010.

In Oct 09, I should be able to find out dates for 2010/2011 school year. It's a disgrace. They don't want parents to take their kids out of school, but can't get their acts together to give us the dates. Maybe it's only us Dissers that plan so far in advance.

I know Kirkless are good at dates, as sometimes I look on their website to see what they have planned and ours are usually very similar. Leeds also publish their dates 3 years in advance.

VH have usually offered the free dining from around 23/08 for the last 2 years.

There is talk over on the dibb, that VH will be offering the free dining in the summer for next year, but we don't know for sure. My advice would be to book it now. Vh are usually more expensive.

I'm a secondary school teacher and we go back on Wed 1st Sept in 2010. Some schools might have a couple of days earmarked as training days, so it might be worth checking with your DS's school.

Just priced WL for first 2 weeks in Aug 10, comes out with park tickets at £2900 approx, which i think is not to bad ,considering over £700 is for tickets, making hotel is costing under £2200 for 2 weeks with dining, anyone else think this is good , or do you think its expensive

I'm going to give them a ring when they go back to school, I'm hoping that he won't start until Friday 03/09/10, as they don't break up until Friday 23/07/10, otherwise, we will have to pay another 500.00 and go early. VH prices fall on the 16/08 I think, but that its only while the preview book is out, I'll put money on it, that the prices go up a lot.

I think that's a great price. I've priced all of the resorts up and can't decide what to do, as you can see we are going to Cal this year. Do I wait until we've been and book when we get back, in case califlronia is better than Florida, or do I book Florida now.

Just booked mine today. Two weeks Port Orleans Riverside 27th August to the 10th September first time on sight I can't wait It may be over a year but I think I'm going to be singing and dancing everyday.

i've boked from VH preview going out on 3rd Aug 2010 first 7 nts are at CSR & we bought park tickets.
is free dining on then?
if it is do you think if VH offer this later i could add the free dining to my booking??

you cant add the free dining with virgin as we tried to do this last eyar and they would not let us

with disney uk free dining is on for next year already
