Who else is not booking CRT because of the recent changes?

Me too! I won't be eating there again with the new changes. I'm so glad though that I got to try dinner before they changed it. I had done breakfast many times and finally got to enjoy dinner there for my 40th birthday last November. It was very good.

I can understand the excitement of wanting to try it once but it would only be once cause then I'd realize it's just not worth the price. I absolutely wouldn't use 2 TS credits for it.

I used to enjoy getting up at 7:00a and trying to book it but no more.

I'm glad for those of you who have never eaten there finally being able to get in.

After seeing the changes that were made I cancelled our ADR and went for a nice dinner we'd enjoy...

We went for dinner to the castle for our 10th anniversary last year during free dining. I am so glad we were able to eat there before the price hike. The food was ok, but it was really special eating in the castle. At least we get to say we did it once and we got a Magical Moments certificate and champagne glasses with the castle etched on them when we ate there. But it's not worth the new price or 2 TS credits IMHO.

We made reservations at Cindy's for our late August trip, but may cancel. When we enjoyed the free dining plan last October, lunch at the Castle was the best meal I had all week! Our group of 14 all agreed.

I had the salmon with crab risotto and asparagus - awesome! The dessert was great, too! And the ambience was also wonderful. I am torn.

Does anyone know if I can use the DDE card there? 20% off may make it more palatable. :)

We've done it three times but wont be doing it again. I think that people who are going now are ones who have never had the chance to eat in the castle. DD6 got to pick where she wanted to eat when we went for her birthday in December and she picked 1900 Park Fare. That was before the changes but I think she made a wise decision. I was really surprised she didn't ask for the castle.

I will not be booking CRT this time around. Hopefully, as they did with Coral Reef (which was 2TS and now 1TS) they will bring CRT back to 1TS.... I guess I'm "cheap" with my TS's because with all the wonderful 1TS restaurants, I can't see spending 2TS on any restaurant...

I was just discussing this with DH last night. We've been for breakfast a couple of times with our DD's, but we won't be going anymore. I don't like being forced into purchasing photos that I may not want!

I agree with everyone here. Yes, it is a beautiful location, but no, I don't want the photos, :sad2: and no the food isn't worth the $$ or the 2 TS dinning credits :sad2: . We are eating dinner at 1900 Park Fare :lovestruc and breakfast at Norway :goodvibes so we'll see plenty of Princesses. I would have loved to take my kids there on our trip so they could experience it once (I ate there many years ago), but not at its current price. I think if there were no other princess meals (Norway and Park Fare) then the premium might be worth it, but as it is I'll get the two princess meals for the price of 1 meal at CRT. princess:

I have to agree with everyone. We have done CRT for the past 7 years but I don't think we will be back. I loved making the ADR for 8:10 before the MK opened and walking through the park with no one else around. It was like we had the park to ourselves. The food was not that good and the pricnesses were always rushed. Sadly, it is not worth the money.

We too are not eating in the castle because of the changes. We LOVED the atmosphere, son is 3 so not into Cinderella, but we enjoyed the castle. No longer though as it is not worth the price! if out of pocket or two ts credits to me either. I don't care for a picture, especially that I'll have to carry around all day (if it is like CM where they give it to you on the spot).

I did actually book 1900 Park Fare, but more or less because I wanted another character meal or atleast something outside the park and was running out of choices. My son could care less if Cindy is there, maybe he'll like one of her friends, as I am not familiar with who else is there. I am just hoping for some good food!

I had dinner at CRT, one TS credit, and I won't go back BUT CRT had almost become a "cult" reservation. A number of guests would get up at the crack of dawn and make reservations for every vacation. "Regular" guests never had a chance. Under the new changes CRT is probably becoming more like a few times in our lifetime meal as opposed to an every trip meal. The new changes makes more $$$ for Disney and opens up reservations to a greater number of guests. Makes a lot of sense.

We are going to CRT this trip but with the price changes this will be it for a while. DD 6 really wants to go, so for her we are going. We are paying out of pocket $127.93 for 2 adults one child for breakfast. It's ridiculous! Dh also wants to go. Ds will be just turning 2 on our trio so he is free. 1900 park fare has better food IMO.

Who ia at 1900 park fare for breakfast now? The dinner is the same as las ttrip in 2003. Thanks.

I didn't do it last year I thought my DD was too young and my neice didn't care where she saw the princessess...we did Epcot one morning.

I think I would do it next year when we go back with my neice and maybe make it a "girls" thing to save a few dollars, but still have that once in a lifetime experience... princess:

I don't think it will change anytime soon...but I do think lots more people will get a chance to go if they are willing to pay , because those of you who have done it won't feel the need.

We cancelled for June. I actually held onto the reservation for about 2 months before I cancelled. It just wasn't worth it for us. We doing 1900 Park Fare for dinner and Akershus for lunch (one at the beginning, one at the end of our trip) so we will see the princesses. I always wanted to try the Norwegian food anyways.
