This is usually the first meal I book for each of our trips. I love the whole getting up early, using two phones to call and the excitement of actually getting the ADR. When DH and I went alone, we skipped it, but in the years we took any of 3 DDs with us, it was a "must do". This year, I really wanted to book this for DD3 for our Sept trip...till I got the details on the changes. I just can't see paying that much (or using 2 dining credits), only seeing Cindy at the door, and missing all the other Princesses, just to get a professional photo and a litho. The cm I booked my ADRs with today mentioned that there will still be 3 other Princesses upstairs for Bkfast and lunch, but not dinner. Regardless of the meal, Cindy remains downstairs. I made ADRs at the Cindy dinner at the GF, and the Princess dinner in Epcot. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets changed back eventually, if enough people are unhappy with it. I just don't think it will happen in time for our trip.

I think that most people agree that the changes are not great, but the place is still booking up...not quite as fast as before...but people are still eating there...I wouldn't expect any changes anytime soon!

We stopped booking CRT when they went to the lunch character meal. We're 2 adults, and aren't so much interested in the character interaction/pictures and all. Plus, it's just gotten so darn pricey! If someone else wants to pay it, fine, but not us. We probably won't be going back unless we had a kid with us who insisted on eating there. Most of the kids I know really don't care.

We liked the ambiance and the menu. Sadly, both have changed.

I'm with ya. I couldn't see using 2 TS credits or paying OOP so we are skipping it this year and we too are doing the Epcot and GF princess meals.
I did enjoy the challenge :bounce: of getting the ADR but it wasn't going to happen this year at that price. :guilty: We'll see em them twice now.

YO

I have booked us at CRT for dinner our 2nd night ....now I'm wondering if it's a mistake. Does this mean there won't be any princess' there at dinner? I really didn't know where else to book and figured it "might" be worth the 2 credits...hmmm. We are 1st timers with an 11dd and 8ds....any suggestions.

I cancelled my 4/27 CRT ressie because of the changes. I will be taking DD to see Cinderella at 1900 Park Faire instead.

We have done CRT dinner on all three of our previous trips, but we won't be going back the way it is now. It was a special meal to DH and I, we ate there on our honeymoon.

Is lunch the same , photos & no princesses? :confused3 :guilty:

1) Good observation.
2) It definitely is not a good use of 2-coupons.
3) For that matter, neither is Luau or Hoop-Dee-Do.

I had been really excited about doing CRT the older my youngest got(she'l be 3 our next trip). With all the changes, I just don't care anymore. We did breakfast at 1900 Park Fare in March and loved it so we'll do dinner there and I'm sure be very satisfied....as long as DD gets to see Cinderella, we're happy(and I honestly think we'll like the food better)!

Not I. $250 for diner is too much. We went last Nov. and thought it was well worth the money. Not now. I will book Crystal Palace for our Nov. trip this year. And maybe 1900.

We are two adults, and this was a "must do" for us. With the changes, I do feel that we were priced out of this restaurant. I would be surprised if it changed back, though. It seems that enough people are willing to pay those prices for the changes to be permanent.

I understand all your points, but I hope to get an ADR for our upcoming trip. I have never eaten in the Castle and I want to do- at least once. :teeth: My DD4 LOVES Cinderella. I mean she LOVES Cinderella. (And we'r doing the other princess meals, too).

I'm in the minority here but I'm glad they hiked the price! It's the only way we could finally, after trying many times, get a breakfast reservation. Sorry folks, but I'm happy about the change!

I completely agree with you! :thumbsup2

From what I understand, mollyseven and poohluvrs, there are princesses at breakfast and lunch but not dinner. Each is 2 credits and includes a photo. I don't think it's worth it but my 2 DD do. Has anyone been lately that can tell us which characters are there?? Three doesn't sound like very many!

We ate there as a once in a lifetime shot before the change. The food at 1900 is better and you can see Cinderella over there. Still eating in the castle is a once in a lifetime experience and I'm glad I ate lunch there under the old pricing. I won't do it again under the new structure and I'd think twice before even doing it a first time. If I had a girl that really wanted to, I think I'd send her in with Mom and the boys would go elsewhere to be honest.
It just doesn't seem all that conducive to parties of 4. You're paying $15 more a head for a picture they sell for about $30. So if you're a party of two, you break about even assuming you wanted the picture in the first place. If you're a party of four, you just got rooked. And it really really isn't conducive to dining plan folks. You're $10 down just on the price of the product from getting the menu price out of your credits.
I really don't mind them raising the prices though. I really wasn't going to return anyway. We have our memories. And the food wasn't bad, just not up to par with other offerings for the same price or even for a slightly lower price at the time. Now that situation is even worse.
I wouldn't even think about doing the dinner under the new structure. Breakfast or lunch.

ME! :wave2: I'm not booking it this time. Not wasting two TS credits on it.

I can just see a Kindergarten quiz.

Which one of these doesn't belong.

"Signiture" dining.

Victoria and Alberts
Citricos
Narcoosee's
Ca Grill
Yachtsman's Steakhouse
Cinderella's Royal Table.
Flying Fish.
Artist Point.

We did it before "the change" and it was ok, not great. Can't imagine using 2 ts for it now. Won't be booking this again. Had better food, service and interaction with Cindy and the Prince at the Grand Floridian. Will be returning to that one.
