DS got a few "defective" gifts:
1)the spongebob tv was missing the remote and instruction book - called the company that made it and they are sending them out - but he can't even watch the tv because it is preset with a parental lock, that can't be taken off till we get the remote. I am really PO'd about this one. I bought it at wal-mart and they don't have anymore. - plus I got it on sale so I don't want to return it and then try to find another one for more money. So, he will have to wait another week before the remote comes. Also tried a universal remote, it would not take the codes.
2)he got a matchbox ice mountain playset thing, and after an hour of putting the stupid thing together and then putting in the batteries, we figure out it is faulty and the crane won't work on it (the batteries were good, we tried them in another toy) So.... have to bring that back and get another one to spend an hour putting together again.
3)Also got a toy truck that releases dominoes into a line - except it pushes over the dominoes after laying down about only 10 of them. A big waste of money.
But.. DS said it was the "best Christmas ever", so I guess that makes up for it!!
ETA: we got DS the "zero gravity" by Air Hogs car that climbs up walls - I can't believe we spent $60 on that!! It needs to charge for 4-5 hours for 10-15 minutes of play, and it hardly works and makes a ton of noise!! After using it once, DS isn't interested anymore.
