I am not looking for people that like the ride...there are plenty of soarin fans. I am looking for the people like me....Anyone???

I haven't ridden it yet so I can't answer--but can you share why you didn't like it? Did it make you uncomfortable/dizzy/etc. or was is too loud or boring or something else?
Just curious! :)

My DH isn't really thrilled by heights, so he wasn't blown away by it and didn't think it was worth a 25 minute wait, but I liked it.

::MickeyMo I will admit, the first time I rode Soarin' I was not that impressed (2nd row where you see the feet dangle in front of you). It was just okay. The second time was amazing, which was because we were in the first row, which made all the difference. Maybe it had something to do with what row you were in? ::MinnieMo

I can't really say I hated it. I wanted to love it but I'm afraid of heights and all that up and down over cliffs etc. kind of did me in. A lot of it (I know it sounds stupid) was the flimsy lift type chair. It's not really comfortable or secure feeling. I kept getting the sensation of falling out. I did it twice and wanted to love it, but..... Sorry!

I wanted to LOVE it. But alas, I was disappointed :(

I am afraid of heights, but tried it anyway....it kind of freaked me out, but I was able to get thru it. I am a skier and don't have a problem with chair lifts, but portions of this ride made me dizzy. That's not why I did not like it.
I thought the beginning part of going thru the clouds reminded me of death. You know, when you die, your soul travels thru time and space....in movies this is usually the metaphore they use for death, flying thru clouds...

The low flying was ok, but the high flying...yikes...

It is a "gentle" ride, but I can't exactly put my finger on it...just don't see the big deal in it. Enough people love it so it really does not matter if I like it or not...just curious if I was the only one.

Then you definately would NOT have liked the end of DreamFlight/If You Had Wings!

I went expecting to love it and was .... a bit disappointed. Not bad, just not the wow I had imagined. It was better in the front row, but still not what I had hoped.

I wasnt really impressed either. seing other peoples feet infront of me really spoilt it...no not really impressed after all the hype...
Claire.

First time we rode it we got center front row seats - while I was awed by the effects, I was very nervous about the height. So, I didn't really enjoy it 100%.

Second ride, we got bottom row - not so nervous about the height, but then the feet, edge of screen stuff wasn't that great.

If I could get over my height issues, I'd say the top row gives the best experience.

It's OK, but is completely overrated. I've ridden in all 3 rows - Makes no difference to me.

I'll fastpass it one time every trip, but would never wait in line for it.

Oh my.....our trip is next week and I've been anxiously awaiting riding Soarin' for the first time. I know my expectations are high. I l-o-v-e IMAX films, so I hope I'm in the majority and that I'm not as disappointed as all of you seem to be.

Well now, I take a plane down to Orlando.

I thought the beginning part of going thru the clouds reminded me of flying. You know, when you fly, your plane travels thru height and space....in movies this is usually the method they use for showing spectacular traveling, flying thru clouds...

I also have an issue with heights. The first time we rode Soarin' I really wanted to put that kiddie loop on....but rather than have everyone laugh at me, I quietly grabbed hold of it. So, there I sat, with my hands grasped in fron of me, between my thighs. I don't think anyone suspected anything. And holding onto that little middle loop did make a difference. I didn't feel as though I was going to slip out. Might make a difference for some of you also.

I haven't rode it yet, so i have to know...is there any way to choose to go in the front row, or is it all luck of the draw? What can I do to improve my chances of getting the front row?

We went on it as a family and really enjoyed it, it seemed to have a great balance of not to scary but still enjoyable.
