Who else can't wait for school to start?

We've got about 6 more weeks of summer vacation left and it can't go by fast enough for me. Not only will it mean less time before our WDW vacation in Nov but it'll mean less time that DD has to play with our neighbor. They have a love/hate relationship and it's really getting on my nerves. My child isn't an angel by any stretch but she at least knows to keep her hands to herself which is something our neighbor hasn't quite mastered. This child can be sweet and polite until she doesn't get her own way. She actually had the nerve to go off on me yesterday and I sent her packing so fast she was twirling. I need chocolate or a drink - hey, I think a chocolate martini would work!!!

So, how is everyone else's summer going?

Oh I can't wait! DS starts Kindergarten in about 3 weeks. He's very excited too. Ack! I still need to buy school supplies!

I am soooooooooooooo sooooooooooooooo soooooooooooooo ready. I love my kids but dang they are getting bored and getting on my nerves!!!!!

I'm with you on the neighbor kid thing!! My kids are homeschooled so it's not going to make too much difference as far as the location of my own kids, but the neighbor starts K in Sept and I can't wait!!! The kid has issues and I try to be nice but he is soooo aggressive and always causes trouble. My boys can play outside for more than an hour just happy as clams but as soon as he shows up, the fireworks start. I cannot wait until he goes to school and I am hoping they wil tell the parents that something is wrong with the little guy. I am convinced he needs some services.

Unfortunately mine are now too old for school. AUGHHHHH Me thinks the empty nest sounds very appealing right now. LOL

I feel ho hum...because my oldest dd and I have been in summer school all this time - since late May for me and since late June for her.

I get done August 3rd and she gets done August 9th. Then we go on vacation and then it starts all over.

2 weeks left here and really, I'll miss my daughter being around.

I still have about 4 weeks left with my boys but I wish I had more! The summer just seemed to fly by. I hate that! Summer vacation is never long enough.

Me too!!! Not to mention that my boys, whom I love very dearly, are driving me crazy!!!

They start back to school on August 1st!!!!

I want school to start then again I do not. This is my last summer in High School and it is kind of scary. lol i will graduate in june 2007.. only if i start on my graduation project.. which i need to do..

School starts here on August 3rd. Too early in my opinion, I'd love a few more weeks of vacation for DD before she starts the middle school adventure!

Not yet! Swim team just ended and DD13's volleyball camp is this week, and then we only have two weeks of real break before DS15's football stuff starts hot and heavy. He's anxious to get back because of football, but I still feel like we need more BREAK!

I'm ready. I love my kids, but it's been entirely to loud around here. I need some peace and quiet. Maybe I can get in a nap sometime and watch some I will miss them and being on 2 PTA boards, I will be at the school helping out, but a little me time will be welcomed

YES even DS who is always " do I have to go to school" is dying to go!!

He starts Middle School this year so its another chapter in our lives.

The girls are always excited to go to school so theyre looking forward to it.

I love the routine of Fall. Which surprises anyone who knew me before. I really do love it though.

#1, I'm just not ready for my kids to go back. DS is so much nicer and happier in the summer when he doesn't have to deal with school. And I just love being with DD.

#2, I start student teaching and I'm scared spitless. I'm really not looking forward to it.

NO! I HATE school!!!! (not for me, but for them)
I hate the schedules, the homework, permission slips, lunch money, packing lunches, making sure everyone's school uniform is clean, fighting with DD about her hair every morning..........
The list is endless.
I LOVE SUMMER VACATION!!!!! I feel like we haven't had any. We've been to the pool exactly one time this whole summer. That's a $200 membership down the tubes. We still have 5 more weeks to go, hopefully we can relax before school starts.

YES!!!! My kids have been at each other which is driving me insane They used to play together so well--maybe they are outgrowing each other I can also relate to the whole neighbor thing--yikes!!! We are ready here and still have about 6 weeks

No. Summer is always to short for me. I like having the kids home with me.
So many changes this year:
Oldest ds starts college (I dread him moving out of the house)
Our high school decided to changed their hours so this year instead of starting at 8:20 my 16 yr old will be starting at 7:15 (and he doesnt have a drivers license yet)
My 6 yr old is starting Kindergarten
My baby is going to preschool.
