No, we aren't putting up one this year. My cats would just knock it over and break the bulbs
Do you know how to tie it off with fishing line (which is basically invisible) so they can't knock it over? Lots and lots of people with kittens/cats do that.. Then maybe you could put some plastic ornaments around the lower branches.. Been there, done that too!

We'd be out looking at trees today and getting the lights up already. But if i have saturday off then it absolutely, positively, MUST be raining. Which means since I'm stuck till after Christmas working every Sunday, then looks like we'll have to find another time to go tree hunting
Unfortunately, dd...who has never had a sick day from school ever...was sick Thursday and Friday and had to reschedule her party. I went and bought a tree last night..it's sitting naked under my carport..and we'll decorate it tonight or tomorrow. I'm going to have to take my chances with the girls next Friday night....wish me luck!
Nope, not yet...I SHOULD be doing it now...but.....![]()

NOPE, not yet. We'll cut it down and put it up on Dec 13. My kids do the 12 day's of Christmas.![]()
Thanks for starting this thread - good to know I am not alone....Today is the day I am supposed to be putting up the tree - DH is going to play poker tonight and I want the house transformed when he gets home....but I just got up (11:30am) and I'm not feeling particularly motivated....

The tradition in our family from when I was a kid was that trees and decorations go up two weeks before Christmas. That will make my HOA happy.
HOA says no outside decorations until 2 weeks prior, and they must be down 1 week after.
I really need to move!
