Ok...Who does not dress up for MNSSHP? We will have our DD in a costume, but I know DH will not dress up and I don't really want to. Will we look out of place not dressed up in costumes?? We will be going Oct 30,the day before Halloween, I have read more people dress up on halloween. How about the day before?

Sorry, I have never been to MNSSHP, but I REALLY want to go!!!!! ::yes::
I am a 22 y.o. female and I would definitely dress up. I love Halloween! But, my 24 y.o. boyfriend would not be caught dead dressing up. He doesn't like the attention like I do.

I say dress up if you want and if not, don't. Whatever makes you feel the most comfortable. There will be so many people there that if you choose NOT to dress up, I'm sure there will be others who didn't either and vice-versa. You won't be alone in whatever you choose!

HAVE FUN! :cool1:

I will not be dressed up. I might wear a silly hat but that is about it for me. My DD will be dressed up as a princess but she is the only one in our family that will dress up. When I was there a few years ago, there was alot of people that were not dressed up, and alot of people that just wore hats. So I stopped into the little hat shop behind the candy store on Main St. and bought myself a hat. So, that is what I will be wearing again. And I did not feel out of place. Don't worry!

I'm planning on going to the party on the 23rd and won't be dressing up. I think I will just wear one of my Halloween t-shirts from Old Navy. You can usually get those for $5 and they are pretty cute. This way I will be a little festive without having to pack a lot of extra stuff that I would take up precious luggage space.

The more I think about it, the more I think I'm going to the party as a tourist at WDW :goodvibes .

DS will be in a pirate costume, but if it is really hot he will just be wearing the accessories. DH and I aren't planning to wear costumes. I have a Jack Skellington T-shirt, a long sleeved Jack T-shirt, and a Disney Halloween sweatshirt so I'll be wearing one of those based on weather. :)

No one in my family dressed up when we went to the party a couple of years ago and we didn't feel out of place at all. Actually, there were many people not dressed up. Everyone is enjoying themselves and not paying any attention anyway, so don't fret. We had a blast and are looking forward to doing the party again this year. No plans to dress up --- except my 3 year old nephew.

DD4 will be dressed up, DH and I will not. No one cares either way, everyone is there to have a good time :)

We dressed up we we went in 2000, but this year we are just going to wear T-shirts :sunny:

I'll probably just wear a Halloween t-shirt. DD5 is still having a hard time deciding. We can't seem to think of a costume that will be cool and comfortable enough for WDW. She may end up in a Halloween t-shirt as well.

:wave2: hey we will be there on oct 30 with you. We have been going back and forth about dressing up, and right now I think we are going to do old navy or target halloween tshirts. DH wanted to go as a jedi, but his costume, for it to meet "his approval" would cost some major $$$. So it might be tshirts for us.

You won't be out of place. The closer to Halloween I do think more people dress up. At least thats been our expierence w/ the parties. However, even when we went on Halloween there were still a lot of people not in costume.

My youngest will be the only one wearing a costume in our family. The rest of us will wear Halloween t-shirts, or black & orange, but no costumes.

I am hoping to attend the first party in September and DH and I won't be dressed up.
Perhaps we will get one of the T-Shirts from Target or Old Navy. I have always wanted one anyway - so this would be a good time to get one and it would give me another month to wear it before Halloween.

:)

When we went last October, most people were not dressed up. This was not ON Halloween though, it was in the beginning of October.

After reading this thread, my boyfriend and I are going to feel so out of place! We're not going to dress up at all.

My wife, who wanted to be Mary Poppins, tried to convice me to dress up as a penguin a few years ago. :scared: Needless to say, it did NOT happen.

We'll be there on the 30th as well and we're not dressing up. Only our baby grandson who will be almost ten months then will be in costume.
Hey, can you still trick or treat without a costume? LoL

We are not. I just know that we'll go w/ costumes (the kids are 5 and almost 3) and it will be great fun for a while, then they'll want them off. So, I'm makign them Halloween t-shirts (probably for all of us) instead.

I won't be dressed up and neither will my dbf. There are lots of people that aren't.
