I use Deb's Sienna for groceries from Publix. This is the location I use:

Regency Village Shopping Center (Store #00812)
8145 Vineland Ave
Orlando, FL 32821-6847

Main: (407) 238-9924
Fax: (407) 238-4650

And with my birthday in June and me being there, that means I get a Decadent Dessert - Chocolate Ganache Supreme.

Here is what it looks like: http://www.publix.com/food/catalog/ProductDetail.do?id=10057

Looks yummy! can we borrow the Sienna too? ;) ;) J/K

that new target is really close. what about 2 miles from akl? from saratoga you'd be better off going to the walmart on 535.

I've used WeGoShop.com several times.

You can pick the grocery store. (We like Publix.) You can even check the ad online.

You submit a free-form list to Marge by e-mail ahead of time. You can be specific, specifying the exact brand, description, and size (such as "Yoplait Original Yogurt, Mixed Berry, 6 oz."). Or you can be general (such as "small berry yogurt"). Or you can mix the two.

You pay actual grocery store prices, plus a reasonable service charge (and a tip if you're happy with the service).

I agree whole heartedly, Marge (of WeGoShop.com) offers wonderful service and is a sweet, sweet lady. I do apologize to her and her helper for that one rainy day she lugged all our cases of water & sodas up the stairs to us at OKW & I had told her the wrong room :rolleyes1 She took the challenge with such grace. :thumbsup2

Unfortunately I do not have anything nice to say about Garden Grocer both from my experience with him directly and from listening to him checking on someone at the front desk (I don't have the habit of eavesdropping, we were waiting for ME and he was very loud) so I'll stop right there and just say I will never use his service again.

We rent a car and go to Publix. I like picking my own food. We eat a lot of produce and I am very picky about it. Publix is the closest thing to what we have in California, and we've shopped all the markets in that area. There's a Whole Foods not too far away now, so we will probably also include that in our plans from now on.

Anyone just take a cab to Publix if you were not renting?

Why not just do a one day rental? You can rent at the airport and return on site. You can also rent and return on site. There's an Alamo at the Car Care Center, and they will send a van to your resort to pick you up. You can also rent from the Dolphin and from the Buena Vista Palace (take the bus to the DD Marketplace and walk across the street). Avis is also at the Hilton across the street and Dollar is at the Regal Sun.

We avoid W-Mart so we go to the SuperTarget, which is just another few blocks down the road on US192.

I love wegoshop. I have used them and recommended them for years.

Since I am too cheap to pay those outrageous prices for the groceries that that Disney offers for their in room delivery:scared1:, what we do when we fly down is to rent a car for the 1st 24 hours. Alamo will pick you up at your resort and deliver you to their Car Care Center at the entrance to the MK. To rent a mid-sized car with a AAA or Sam's Club discount was $32 + my DF chipped in to pay the $12 rental on a GPS... :goodvibes We hit the Publix, a liquor store  and did some off property souvenier hunting since we usually arrive in the World around 4. Too tired to do EMH so we stock up for the week and then take the car back the next day. To me, the cost is worth it.. THEN if we run out of an item, we just slip over to the grocery at Artist Pallette and pick up enough to get us through check out.
This year we are driving down and plan on bringing most of our food with us because even at a Publix, food is more expensive in Orlando than in Fort Wayne. The only exceptions will be frozen foods such as ice cream... I realize it is a vacation but it doesn't have to break the bank!!
Have fun!!

We always rent cars at WDW.

Our last trip at BWV we treated ourselves to an order from Garden Grocer to save the "schlepage" as we call it. (We do this all the time at the Grand Cali with Albertson's).

Garden Grocer was right on time - our room was not. We did not get a room until after 6 pm but they put our cold things in a fridge for us at BWV.

What we noticed were the fruits and vegetables were in perfect condiditon and the bakery items were very fresh. It was just like we picked them ourselves.

I would recommend them from our experience.

We used WeGoShop and they were great. We were at OKW for 14 nights over Christmas and New Year and wanted a Christmas Tree with lights and a huge Turkey. The lady shopped and shopped for us and found a 7ft great, pre-lit tree for $60 and delivered our turkey on Christmas eve. She contacted me before we left and I asked her to get loads that were not on the list and she got everything and saved us lots of wasted time treking around a supermarket.

I would recommend WeGoShop to anybody.

Another vote for Garden Grocer! We used them when we stayed at SSR in January and will definitely be using them again. Personally, I prefer picking items from the selection that they offer. I admit it, I am too lazy to go through my entire grocery list in a detailed manner - 1 lb Boar's Head Oven Gold Turkey breast, sliced thin for sandwiches, etc. I would much rather just pick from their list. I also liked that you could pay via Paypal and not have to charge the items. Our groceries did arrive before we did, so Bell Services stored them for us. We had them delivered to our room with our luggage. Everything was perfect, even the ice cream. :thumbsup2
