Long story short the Boardwalk Villas lost my camcorder and the response I got from their lost and found was "no camcorder". He never asked for details and when I offered them he barely listened. No apology. I need to send an e-mail to someone but not sure who. The e-mail addy I have isn't working. Anyone know.

Did you talk to a manager when you were there?

Long story but no. The item was on the cart when bell services took our stuff out of our room. When we boarded the Magical Express to leave for the airport we were told to just get on the bus and our luggage would be loaded. We didn't know it didn't make it on the bus until after we were at the airport. We have received a very poor response from the man in charge of Boarwalk lost and found. Didn't even care to hear details of when and where. Just "no camera".
 
I'm sorry you lost your camera. I lost mine last October, and had the same problem. Disney Lost and Found stinks! After being on hold for 15 minutes the woman at L&F looked for about 15 seconds before telling me that they didn't have my camera. :sad2: I hope you have better luck! :wizard:
 

you actually need to talk to guest claims.

Someone sent you the link. Actually this year Lost and Found did have my daughter's cell phone that fell out of her pocket on Space Mountain. And..It still worked! I was very grateful and surprised. :banana:

It is for that very reason that hubby and I NEVER let anyone handle our valuables (cameras etc.) Those things seem to mysteriously get legs. Sorry to hear about your loss.
 
Oh that just stinks! I agree, I have a hard time letting camera's, purses, things like that in the hands of strangers, they do tend to grow legs! I would definitely contact guest service's claims department and do not give up. If you allow them to just drop it they will.

I hope you find your camera, because I am sure more than just the camera itself, there are memories from your trip on there.

I would definitely pursue this ... they should reimburse you something.....

A few years ago my winter coat was checked into the bell check area as we had only a few hours left before our cab came to take us to the airport....when we went to get our stuff my coat was not there. Bell services gave me the number of the Old Key West Bell Services to check and see if it turned up. When it didnt they asked how much the coat cost and REIMBURSED ME FOR THE ENTIRE COST OF REPLACEMENT.

Keep calling.
 
Well thanks everyone. Guest services at the e-mail I was given hasn't responded and it is going on over 48 hours now. Not sure how long they take. Is there a special number for claims?
 
I am so sorry that happened. My camera fell out of my backpack when I was at the Magic Kingdom. I did not realize it was gone until we got back to the hotel. I was bummed and figured it was gone forever. Not to be the case. It was found and turned into Lost and Found. I was a lucky pup!! I hope you get this resolved.

We were staying at the Wl and then to the AKL when we swithched rooms I realised I forgot a necklace on the nightstand (a silver Tiffany heart necklace)
I called as soon as I realised what I had done and it was never "found" but I do know it really was my fault for not remebering it.
Im sorry for you since you didnt "leave" it anywhere you gave it to the bellman like you are suppose to. Hope it gets found. I wonder if another guest on the bus recieved it instead??!!
 
Thank you so much. The lost tape is the most valuable thing. That is my fault for leaving it in the camera and I have kicked myself 1,000 a day for it. I did just call claims. I tried to stay composed but the poor woman had to listen to me sob as I talked about the tape. SHe probably doesn't get paid enough for that!

Anyway, thanks for all the well wishes. I really needed them!

I thought of that too except we were the first drop off. There were other people getting off with us but we were right there. I really have a hard time believing someone could have walked off with it without us seeing. I really think it never got on the bus at all.
 
Bell services found it in long term storage! It is on it's way home with the TAPE!!!! So happy I could cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for suggesting claims!
