Who do I contact concerning seating at dinner?

Not the OP, but last month on the Magic we requested a private table for 2 online (late dining). Checked our table onboard with one of the restaurant hosts after embarking, and found out our request had not been granted. I was directed to the promenade lounge to speak with the restaurant manager, and he switched us to a private table.

If it's not granted ahead of time, don't panic. The sooner you can find out your table situation once onboard, the more flexibility they might have.

Thank you, that is reassuring I hope it we will be able to get that!

@Clarkson U thank you for your reply - it’s not the end of the world if we don’t get it but it would really help my child not to have to deal with her anxiety at dinner time!

@Dailymeel you are more than welcome.

I will say that if someone has medically diagnosed anxiety disorder and is under treatment of the health care provider sometimes a letter from that treating provider outlining what is needed for medical purposes for that person to enjoy the cruise would probably be very helpful.

That could become part of the email for special requests!

Good luck to you all!

at the very least so you dont end up with buffet food she can order and have it sent to the room for her to eat later in private.
my son was always way to distracted to eat at the table so he would order and they would sent it to the room

An inch or 2? There were not ables that close together on the Fantasy in December. A foot or 2, yes in some cases, although we had no one that close to us.
I agree that an inch or two might be a bit of an exaggeration, but on the Wish in the Marvel, MDR, our table was literally 6 inches from the tables next to us on either side.

On the Classics and Dream class it may be slightly larger than an inch or two, but there are a lot of tables that were 4-tops or 8-tops but because of the demand for "private" tables (honestly, you're essentially in public...even before they had to start pulling them apart none were what I'd call "private" just like I'd never call tables in restaurants "private" in that there are always going to be people in ear shot unless you rent out the whole restaurant) they are doing their best and pulling them apart. BUT there is only so much room in the dining rooms so they simply cannot pull them that far apart. In some cases they are literally like 81A and 81B - both would have been simply Table 81 if they were together, but they are separated by just a few inches and ergo not a shared table.

Just be aware that as many have said, private is NOT truly private. There are still going to be people at tables very close together. If she's truly afraid of eating in front of people, the only way to not do that is to do room service.
