We just returned from a stay at BLT and am less than happy with the condition of our villa and the response to my repeated complaints.
What is the most effective way to complain?

I'm wondering what you mean by "is it worth it" to complain? What are you expecting to get? Just curious- what was wrong with the villa and what were you expecting as a response during your stay? Were the issues resolved at all? You can go to the MS website and visit the "contact us" page and send an email if you like.---Kathy

If it was damaged, complain to your fellow members and their guests that they rent to, plus the people Disney rents to. That place is only a year old and it is getting treated poorly by guests. When people try to move the sleeper chair into the bedroom, use duct tape to "baby-proof the room", etc, the place is going to look like hell very quickly.

WHAT?!? :sad2: Who thinks of this stuff?

If people mis-treat the Villas... I hope it can be detected by Mousekeeping & charged back to them! We always treat the resorts as we do our home.
My family owns a condo on St. Augustine Beach and only rents out to family and friends. Years ago, they rented it out through the Complex rental agent & there weren't damages that we're being detected and charged to renters. This was supposed to be done by the cleaning crew, but never was.

I had some of the same issues with our 2BR at VGC - quite a few nicks and dings on the lovely wood and furniture, and it was only 5 months old when I was there! Oh, and we discovered the last morning when we went to use the large plates that someone before us had used them and just put them back - french fries and ketchup and all - not even rinsed off. It was SOOOO gross.

That is disappointing to hear.

I believe it's always best to adress issues while you are there & if you are still not happy with the outcome, as PP said, Member Satisfaction is who you should direct your email to.

Out of curiosity, does anybody know if the CR Managers oversee BLT as well or if there is a seperate mangement team?

Complain right away and hope Disney charges the people before you...when slobs have to start paying they will use more care

That is gross. That's why the first thing we do when we arrive is wash all of hte dishes and silverware in the dishwasher. You never know if people put them back dirty, washed them by hand or just rinsed them off and put them back in the cabinet.

If they did that in the kitchen, I wonder what "care" they took in the bathroom.

1.Broken Shade on Door to Balcony-Never Fixed

2.Hour and a Half wait for luggage from valet.Despite being told 15 minutes.

3.Hole in bathroom wall where toilet paper holder was ripped off wall and
nailed back into place above the hole.-repaired after three days and numerous complaints.

4.Carpet is worn looks like it is ten years old not one.

This happened to us during our BWV stay. Every pot and pan in the cabinet was dirty with food still in them. We did complain and were treated rather rudely about it. We were told that housekeeping does not go through the cabinets to check for dirty items. It is not part of their job to do that and would it be that difficult to wash the pans ourselves? They made me feel like I was the one that had done something wrong. That incident made me a bit cautious about complaining ever again. :confused3

You can't just autmatically assume it was the people who checked out last that caused damage or put away dirty dishes. Can you inagine getting a bill for damaging something you know you did not cause.

not wanting to be too intrusive, but what type of room was

it?...[ studio, 1 bedroom , & / or view?

while i don't have any sure facts, but i feel these type of damages

are from renters not the owners, [ based on the same feelings
posted where owners treat the rooms like their homes, which i
think is the general feeling of most owners. ]

as for the food on the plates, i be howling @ disney. while i don't
think none of this is because of disney but they are ignoring a
a serious hazard...exposing your family to micros that could
resulted into real health issues. accountabilty back to disney.
why? because they know who were in the room before you.

true...i wouldn't want to blame. however, isn't that what housekeepers
are supposed to do? room checks. how hard can that be?

and this another reason.. i hope we don't have "renters" in the room
before us.
