DH and I are doing a VR for our 25th anniversary in Feb. We are staying at the Beach Club. I know Periwig's is at the Yacht and Beach Club. Has anyone used them? Mandara Spa at the Swan and Dolphin is with walking distance...so was thinking of going there. My mom who is 75 is also going to need to have her hair done so I need something convenient for her. I know some of the stylists will come to your room and do hair and makeup. I'm struggling with this detail for some reason....any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!:)

I used Beaute Speciale and was very, very happy with their service!!! I printed out a few pics from their FB page and the stylist totally got the look I was going for. It was very nice having them come to my room and they were willing to come out just for one person.

I second that for Beaute Speciale. I had Rosie, Laine, and Jackie. I would have them all again. They were perfect and I coudn't have asked for a better team of ladies to do our hair and make up.

I used Janet Mednick from Onsite Beauty. She was absolutely wonderful! She arrived at my hotel room promptly at 4:30am and did my hair and makeup along with my bridesmaids. She was very helpful throughout the entire "getting ready" process. I would absolutely recommend her!!!:goodvibes

I used Periwig's for my wedding for my hair and makeup. I didn't need anything special for my hair, just an updo and it was fine. It was convenient for me because i was staying at the beach club, we only had one room to get ready in so i couldn't have a hair service come in while my fiance was getting ready. My mom also had her hair done. the salon is nothing special, would remind you of a place at home but very small. it was $80 for each of us for our hair.

I scheduled it with

had laine and jackie come to our room and i would HIGHLY recommend this for anyone doing a wedding at WDW! especially if you have multiple guests or, like a grandma, someone you might want to treat. i think their prices are inline with what disney spas generally (IMHO) over charge :sad2: (did i say that??) and the convenience absolutely cannot be underestimated on such a big day. we had a small wedding (but in the morning) and though i wasn't initially thinking i would do it that way, it was a godsend!

:thumbsup2

Lacey,

I am so glad you had a great experience with Janet. I have her booked for my VR next November. She seems fabulous on the phone and I can't wait to meet her in June when we go down for our PS and trial run.

You definitely won't be disappointed! She was so sweet and really relaxed and made the whole experience so nice. :). And prior to the big day, she was sooo quick in responding to my phone calls and emails.

Another fan of Beaute Speciale! Laine did my makeup for my wedding and I was beyond thrilled with it. She and Ana also did my five bridesmaids-- each one was different but so beautiful. They were great at enhancing each girl's unique beauty. I waivered about if I should book them, but I wish I hadn't worried at all. They were wonderful!

I am using Candi Ekstrom (she's one of their preferred list). Being as I live here and have an anxiety disorder I couldn't just wait until the day of the wedding and hope that they got the hair right. For $165 she's doing my day of hair and make-up and I got a free trial run. Was so nice to get a look before that day, she got to know how to handle my hair (it is naturally curly and it takes a lot to get it to hold a curl since it has a mind of it's own). She played around with side parts or center parts. Small curling iron or large. We spend 1 1/2 hours playing around to make sure it is everything I want.

For those who don't do/want the free trial she does day of for $140. She comes to your room. For Bridesmaids she does hair for $60, full make-up $60, and eyes only make-up for $40.

She is amazing so far to work with and I have the upmost confidence she'll do a fabulous job the day of.

Another Janet/Onsite Beauty girl here! She seems just SO sweet on the phone. It's also reassuring that I know ahead of time that I will definitely have her and not someone I know nothing about on the morning of our wedding! Glad to know you had a good experience with her too!

Add me to the list as a fan of Beaute Speciale!

We renewed our vows this past April and I wanted to have my hair & make-up done since I didn't for our wedding 20 years earlier.

I have straight, baby fine hair and Jackie came to our room (we were at the Boardwalk) and did a fantastic job on my hair and make-up too. I couldn't believe I had curls! :rotfl: Having them come to your room is THE WAY to go!

I used Laine from Beaute Speciale to do my hair and makeup for our honeymoon portrait session. She did a fabulous job and was such a sweetheart!

I have worked with Patricia Lejeune three or four times now. She is very sweet and has always worked really hard to accommodate my likes and dislikes.

We did a trial for my engagement portraits that took a bit longer than normal because she worked with me to change what I wasn't liking about the direction things were going. Then, on the wedding day, she knew exactly what I wanted (even though I changed it a bit in the interim).

I had her do airbrush makeup, which I loved because it looked natural and lasted all day. She charges $70 for makeup (any kind) and $70 for hair, with a $50 travel fee that covers both the wedding and the trial. Trial hair and makeup costs $100, and I highly recommend scheduling a trial to coincide with your engagement photo session, if you're planning one. That way you can see what your makeup looks like in photos.

I had Jackie from Beaute Speciale do my hair for my engagement shoot, wedding, and MK Bridal Shoot. I LOVED her! And I suggested one of my friends who got married 2 weeks ago use her and she loved her too! I had 12 getting hair/makeup done on my wedding day so I got Jackie, Ana and 2 other girls come to the room we were getting ready in. Loved them!

This was before I put the veil and dress on

I just had my hair/makeup trial today with Jackie @ Beaute Speciale. She was great! I love that they come to your room and the prices are very reasonable. I paid $75 for hair (mine is long) and $70 for makeup including false lashes (makeup without the lashes is $60). That included her travelling to my hotel and she gave me 2 lipstick touch ups and a powder touch up sponge at the end :) When I contacted Patricia Lejeune she said the they don't come out for less than 5 services and since it was only me getting hair/makefup done I did not qualify.

Here is the hair inspiration pic I gave Jackie:

I'm really excited to use her for our vow renewal!

Can anyone tell me if you have used Beaute Speciale, did you do the regular makeup or airbrush makeup? I am not sure which to choose and they mentioned they need to know beforehand which I would like. I am not able to do a trial run and was just curious what others chose

Thanks :goodvibes
